How to unlock honeywell thermostat lock screen

i've got a honeywell t6 here
that we're going to talk about locking
the screen
and unlocking the screen so we're gonna
go through that right now
okay so we've got our honeywell t6 here
and first if you have let's say you have
guests staying over or you have this
located in a place
that folks keep messing with it and
you're just simply wanting to lock the
screen
so it's pretty simple you just go to
menu and
on mine screen lock is the first thing
that comes up
sometimes you might have to scroll over
to find that
so you just have screen locked select
and we're gonna go to a full lock
sometimes it'll say partial lock
we're gonna go to full lock and it's
gonna give you a pin here
3250 is my pin and yours will probably
be different
and you're going to want to just hit
select
and then yes and so now this screen is
locked
they can't change the mode they can't
change the fan
they can't change the temperature it is
what it is
so if you are trying to keep folks out
from messing with the temperature all
the time
that's how you stop that now if you're
wanting to unlock it
you're going to hit this lock button
right here tap that
and it's going to ask you to enter the
pen okay
so you're just going to simply scroll
over
so i got my three select
two five
and zero and that unlocks it now i can
change
my mode i can change my fan and
everything again
okay now what if you don't have the pen
if you have locked this let's go back in
here and lock it again
and you don't remember the pin so now
it's locked and you're trying to figure
out how to get back into the sucker
and you know you you're not sure what
the pen is okay
there's a couple we've actually heard
some mixed responses on this
we've had some customers saying one two
three four actually works
with some of the models and then we've
had a few other customers
that that have to do the method that i'm
about to show you
so we're right here we got it open we're
you know we're trying to unlock it and
we're not sure what the pin
is you know we locked it a while back
we're not sure what that pin is
what you actually have to do is remove
the thermostat off the wall okay and so
when you pop it off the wall
you'll see off here to the right hand
side
there's a number okay so mine is two
zero one six
and all you're going to do is you're
gonna add those digits
to one two three four okay so two zero
one six added to one two
three four is three two five zero
okay so two zero one six add it to one
two three four
and the pen is three two five zero when
you add those together
so hopefully that helps because if you
remember what my pin was it was 3250 and
you'll be able to punch that in
and get it back open obviously so
three two five
zero i hope this helps if neither one of
those pins work for you
you may need to call honeywell i'll put
their phone number down
