today I'm going to help you unlock your
verizon phone from the verizon network
unlike other carriers a verizon doesn't
make you jump through any hoops to
unlock your phone making the process
really straightforward and simple if you
haven't yet don't forget to like
subscribe comment and turn on those
notifications I come out with new videos
every Wednesday and Friday
now Verizon sells phones locked to their
network to mitigate theft and other
fraudulent activity but your phone is
only locked for a short period of time
then it's automatically unlocked woo for
prepaid and postpaid phones Verizon
recently changed its unlocking policy if
you bought your phone before july 2019
it probably already came unlocked all
you need to do is insert a SIM card from
a new carrier and you should be good to
go if that doesn't work you may need to
call customer service for help now I'm
putting that number in the description
below if you bought your phone after
july 2019 you will have to wait 60 days
than Verizon well unlock it
automatically but if you are in the
military you can get your phone unlocked
anytime even during the 60-day lock
period all you need to do is show your
proof of deployment once your phone is
unlocked you can take it to a new
carrier you can travel abroad and use a
foreign SIM or you can just sell it if
you plan on switching carriers make sure
your phone is compatible first generally
newer phones bought after 2017 have the
technology to work on multiple carrier
networks you can check your
compatibility by going to your preferred
carriers site and using their
compatibility checker as a general rule
of thumb Verizon and Sprint phones work
on each other's networks and t-mobile
and AT&T phones work on each other's
networks thanks for watching whistle out
TV I'm Sherri Riggs if you're looking to
unlock a phone from a different network
you can check out these videos up here
