hello everyone on YouTube in this video
I'm going to be showing everyone how to
do a factory reset or master restore
whatever you want to call it on a
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 this one is for a
t-mobile but it should be the same for
no tools from any company alright and
I'm going to show the two different
methods of doing the factory reset which
is the soft reset and the hard reset the
soft reset is when you can get into the
phone and you know you're using the
phone normally but you just want to
reset it me because the phone's working
slow you just want to erase everything
on it and start it from scratch again
and you could do this through going into
the settings and the hard reset is done
when you when you can't get into the
phone like when you have a password on
it and you can get inside the phone you
need to completely reset the phone to
use it again ok so let's start off with
the soft reset first you just go to
settings you're going to scroll down to
where it says security no wait I'm sorry
it's not in secured it's I'm sorry you
got to scroll down to where it says
backup and reset and then all you're
going to have to click touch is where it
says factory data reset and then reset
device and then delete all and it's
gonna you know completely erase
everything on the phone and start from
scratch again alright so I'm just going
to turn the phone off now so we can do
the hoppin so I'm gonna show you the
hard reset
okay so yet to do the hard reset you
need to turn off the phone or take the
battery out and turn it off okay so
you're going to do is you're going to
hold the volume up the home button and
the power button hold them together
until this comes up and then let go of
the power button and keep holding the
volume up and home button
all right
okay so yeah then you're going to you're
going to come to the this menu with the
different settings they may look
different on your note too because this
phone is rooted but it's still going to
have pretty much same options you're
just going to scroll down to the one
that says wipe data/factory reset'
you're going to press the power button
and then you're going to scroll down to
where it says yes delete all user data
press the power button once again and it
is going to completely erase everything
on the phone and then once it says
that'll wipe complete you're just going
to press the power button again on
reboot system now when the phone is
going to just restart itself
just give it a minute or two to turn
back on
mmm-hmm takes takes a little bit long to
boot up after doing the reset and there
you go it's back to the you know back to
the activation screen so from here you
could just go through all the steps and
activate it which is pretty easy thank
you for watching
