hey what's going on this is Wayne with
tri-county locksmith and today we are
testing out
whether or not your lock cylinder can
actually be open you can open a frozen
lock cylinder with
hand sanitizer so we're going to take
just your average hand sanitizer and you
can see in this cutaway lock
that everything is frozen okay there's
ice everywhere there's no way to hide
this and
we're gonna insert
you can also tell it's frozen because
the key doesn't go in
without a tap
and you can see that all the pins are
aligned give this just a minute to
work now
whether or not it's the heat
there you go
whether or not it's actually the warmth
of this or whether it's the alcohol
actually melting the ice I don't know
but I do know it works usually if you
have this it's gonna be in your purse or
in your pocket and so it's probably
gonna be room temperature or it's gonna
be body temperature and in both of those
cases
it's gonna be warm enough and thick
enough to stick in the area at the shear
line and be able to free your lock up so
there's no other way to fake that if
you're wondering if it actually works
that's how it works there's light ice in
every one of the chambers ran this
through the faucet it's 14 degrees
outside let it sit out here for two
hours and then put it in a pile of snow
nothing else I can do thanks for
watching guys
