okay so we are in my cab of my pickup
truck it's actually Mazda pickup truck
and it's the same model as a Ford Ranger
actually just a few different parts so
this is a Mazda be 2600 but this here is
the ignition switch as where you put the
key in and it breaks sometimes
especially the Ford design I also have a
Ford Focus in that day but here's the
replacement ignition switch but on this
one here this little metal right here is
what broke and so back when this broke
this was a few years ago it broken I
didn't have the money to to get new part
so what I did was if you take this the
the plastic panel there's a couple
screws this thing pulls off then there's
a metal plate and then this right here
and I just unbolt it from right down
there up there right below the steering
wheel and so if I push the clutch in so
as you can hear there if I push it over
one more if I had the clutch in it would
have started the car and so that's what
I did to bypass the ignition because I
didn't have the money to get an ear
tumbler and so I basically just zip-tied
it there and I would start it that way
so that's a quick fix if you need to
it's not hot-wiring cars and stealing
one but if you need to
Hotwire or just bypass your ignition
switch because you don't have money in
certain cars they're pretty expensive to
replace it but now you can get these
parts because this pickups so old you
can get these parts for less than $20
whole well the whole thing I just showed
you
if you have a car with the keys with
that RFID chip it's going to cost you a
lot more and you're going to have to go
to the dealership to get it otherwise if
you don't have a chip and your keys this
works just fine so the next video I'm
going to show you how to replace this if
you are going to buy it and replace it
so I'll post that up on this done hope
that helps thanks for watching
