hey everyone my name's pupsker and today
we're going to talk about
riven mods how to get riven mods what
are they and then
just the generals around riven mods
so first and foremost what exactly are
riven mods well they're a type of mod
that you get
i believe once you complete the war
within quest
and then additionals can be acquired
afterwards
quickly going over you do have the riven
mod slot here the default capacity is 15
and you'll be able to buy more slots in
the market
i think it's 3 slots for 60
it's pretty expensive rivens are by no
means a mandatory part of the game
but they are a ton of fun and make
completely broken builds what ribbon
mods
are are they are challenge mods that
once you complete them
you get a random rng mod
for a weapon what that exactly means is
you see this melee riven mod and this
has to be completed
while this mod is equipped on a melee
weapon
so i have to find two caches without
taking damage
that's pretty easy just equipped a
stealth frame
and go find two caches should have no
problem
once that's done it will unlock as a
random
melee riven mod and then it will become
something like
this for example the exceltra
concetus so this only goes
on the exceltra so you can tell because
the name
of the weapon is in the name of the mod
and then it simply has random rng
stats they can be good or
they can be bad and you can have a
maximum of
three positive stats at a time so this
one
in theory has a perfectly
positive role with no
drawbacks unless i guess you think about
weapon recoil as a drawback
then we're screwed but this one is
critical damage status chance and damage
to grineer
so three random stats you know got lucky
and they just so happen to be good
whereas other ones like these are all
leveled up so the stats will be way
lower on things like these
but you know critical damage a
multi-shot that's pretty good
crit chance status chance wow that's
pretty good
status duration crit chance crit damage
see i have pretty good riven mods and
they do have
random stats so you just have to roll
them using
kuva as you can see i don't have enough
the cost for rolling goes up until a
maximum cost is hit
and by god is it hella expensive by then
so that's the idea behind riven mods
they can be any polarity they're really
expensive
they can be really strong and the
platinum
trading market for ribbons themselves
are
all over the place if you get a good
roll people try to sell ribbons for
thousands
of platinum if not ten thousand platinum
if it's like a god perfect roll but
i think that's crazy i wouldn't
recommend taking part in any of that
so i would recommend first off picking
up mods that are veiled like
this one if you want a chance at random
mods
if not you can always buy one for a
weapon that you want specifically
at the lowest price possible but if it's
a popular weapon
that means the ribbons will probably
sell for a lot of platinum
so even then it's probably not worth it
because the platinum
riven market is all over the place
so now you might be thinking how do i
get riven mods how does this
happen well as i mentioned before once
you complete
the war within quest it's one of the
main storyline quests i believe
you should be able to unlock ribbons if
not
rivens start at a mastery rank of 8 to
16
depending on the weapon and the riven of
course
so hey level up your mastery rank to 16
and then you can have
all of the ribbons they're acquired from
a ton of different places in warframe at
this point
the main one i would be saying is the
daily sorties
this i believe unlocks once you
go through the entire star chart it's
pretty much
high level missions that have a
requirement on them like this one
mission spy condition oh
enemy physical enhancement some of them
may lock you to a certain weapon or take
away weapons etc
but as you can see the reward pool is a
riven mod
on the lower end and i think that equals
to about a
30 or a 20 percent yeah i think it's
actually more like
20 to 25 drop chance for a riven mod
so you can do one two three these three
missions
once a day it cycles out every day to
get a chance
at the riven mod so decent chance there
but most likely you should get either
riven mod or
the ayaton treasure so just hope for the
riven mod there are
a ton of different ways to get it as
well
they randomly unlock sometimes through
tactical alerts
like many things through gift of the
lotus alerts or like gift from the lotus
alerts whatever those are called
so you can keep in mind that you can go
to the arbitration of honors
shop on any relay in order to buy
arc gun ribbons you can get companion
weapon ribbons from
cephalon samaras and you can
then also collect riven mods
via riven slivers which you get those
from
opening requiem relics they can drop as
rail jack
mission rewards you can get them from
xmas units in the steel path
and once you have enough of them you
need 10 of them i believe
you go to paladino on iron awake
and she turns 10 slivers into
a riven mod so it's really
not that hard you just have to go to
earth and i think wake
is is right here so just go
here and you should be good to go
look for palladino in ironwake here
and trade in the riven slivers
i myself don't quite have 10 to trade in
right now because i don't really do a
lot of
activities that would get me the riven
slivers but hey
that's how that is so rivens themselves
are honestly
really good they can have a low
disposition
and a high disposition what that means
is if you look on a weapon
you go to upgrade you can see it has a
riven disposition here
one block is the worst possible one
whereas
five dots is the best possible one this
merely means the percent on your ribbons
will be
you know lower if it's five stars you'll
have
really high stats like instead of 86
crit damage i would have something more
more like 150
let's be honest here so you would just
have
better numbers overall okay
good to keep that in mind so
the weapons with a five block riven
disposition
yeah those are gonna be the op rivens
but usually the weapons themselves are a
little weaker
i believe at every prime vault they
juggle
around the riven dispositions not
necessarily for everything
but i can't quite fully remember so
yeah so that's the general idea behind
riven
mods you get a veiled riven mod
you throw it onto any weapon that it
lets you to so if it's a melee mod
it is a melee weapon that you have to
throw the
veiled riven mod onto if it's a rifle
riven mod you'll have to throw it onto
the rifle
etc and then complete missions
doing the challenge on the riven mod
sometimes it requires you to do
something all at once like
kill five enemies while sliding all
in one go things like that you know that
would be for
most likely a rifle riven mod but that's
just a crappy example of what
the missions could be once you start
collecting a ton of rifle ribbons and
you know
other weapon rivens you'll understand it
can be a pain this one kill 13 enemies
while
sliding without taking damage
i think that implies that you have to do
that in one mission
so that one should be fairly easy either
go
stealth or use a warframe that doesn't
take damage
it's that easy so you like the video
guys i would appreciate it if you were
to
like the video dislike it if you
disliked it subscribe
to check out some of my other videos and
honestly
thank you for watching this is a pretty
simple riven
mod video so in general i would say aim
for
mods that you like on weapons you like
and then
mod it accordingly to a weapon if a
weapon is a crit weapon
you'd want to hopefully get a rifle
ribbon mod
you know just because i'm using a rifle
here that would give
high amounts of critical chance maybe
critical
damage maybe multi-shot or something
else maybe it has a really low magazine
or a really slow reload speed and you
just want the reload speed to be faster
so you're like hey
maybe i'll get lucky and the third slot
will be increased reload speed
you know just things like that it's
always up to you
what you're looking for what you're
willing to swap it into
the nice thing about riven cycling is
you can choose
the before and after riven in the sense
that
if you get a bad roll on the riven you
can continue using
what is currently available well stats
wise so
it's very convenient and very easy once
you start collecting a bunch of ribbons
it'll be pretty self-explanatory but for
now
yeah that's about it thanks for watching
guys and i'll see you next time
peace
