hello everyone how are you doing this is
md tech here with another quick tutorial
in today's tutorial i'm going to show
you guys how to go about disabling
hotkeys on your windows 11 computer so
this will hopefully be a pretty
straightforward process and without
further ado let's go ahead and jump
right into it so we're going to go ahead
and start off by opening up the start
menu type in regedit r-e-g-e-d-i-t
best result should come back with
registry editor go ahead and right-click
on that and select run as administrator
if you receive the user account control
prompt go ahead and select yes and
before you proceed in the registry i
would highly suggest you create a backup
of it so if anything would go wrong you
could easily restore it back to or
create the backup all you have to do is
select file and then export
file name i recommend naming it the date
in which you're making the backup set
export range for all and then save it to
a convenient and easily accessible
location on your computer and if you
ever need to import it back in all you
would have to do is select file and then
import and navigate to the file location
so again pretty straightforward and now
we're ready to begin so we're going to
start off by double clicking on the hkey
current user folder do the same thing
now for these software folders so double
click on that
you want to locate the microsoft folder
from this list so double click on it
should be a windows folder so scroll
down to windows and double click on it
locate current version
double click on it
should be a policies folder in here
and now you want to just right click on
the policies folder select new and then
key call this key explorer
hit enter unless you already have an
explorer key in which case you can
disregard that
and if you need to pause the video and
take note of our file path it's up at
the top of the screen here each
backslash is a different subfolder we've
gone under up to this point so if you
need to catch up you can
and now on the right side you want to
right click in a blank area
select new and then select the word
32-bit value name this value no
win
keys exactly how you see it on my screen
here
first letter of each word should be
capitalized no spaces hit enter on the
keyboard double click on this value
delete the zero type the numerical value
one
and once you've done that you want to go
ahead and select okay
and then once you have done that you
should be able to go ahead and close out
of here you will need to reset your
computer for the change to take effect
and that should be about it so pretty
straightforward process guys and let's
go ahead and restart our computer
so there you go guys hopefully that was
a pretty straightforward process for you
so i do hope this brief tutorial was
able to help you guys out and as always
thank you for watching and i do look
forward to catching you all in the next
tutorial goodbye
