Hi guys.
I'm the Kidsplainer.
In this video,
I'm going to teach you how to bottle flip.
It's really fun and the best thing about it,
is you can find a bottle anywhere
and turn it into a toy.
I use this one.
You can use anyone you want.
When picking out a bottle,
you want to find a bottle that has a flat bottom.
It's not super hard and it's not super flimsy.
The super hard bottle will
bounce it and you don't want that
and it'll fall over.
The super flimsy bottle
will crush in and it will become rounded
and it will tip over
when you try to land it.
And that doesn't help.
You want somewhere in between.
You want to fill up the bottle 1/3 of the way.
Or a little less.
A little test to find out what suits you
is the angle test.
You put the bottle at an angle and let go.
If it goes back straight up,
you have a good bottle.
If it falls over,
you have too much water or too little water.
Why that is important,
if it lands like this,
if you have too full or too little,
the bottle is going to tip over.
But if you land like this
and you have the right amount of water,
your bottle is going to land upright.
Now I'm going to walk you through
the method of flipping.
You hold it at the top.
Like this.
And flick it with your wrist.
Back and then forward.
And this is when you let go.
But before you do that,
push down a little
and that will help it make the full rotation.

See how I'm doing it?
Remember, flick your wrist.
Hold at the top and try to land it.
And push down, remember?
But sometimes you won't land it.
Like I did there.
But, if you keep practicing,
you'll get better and better.
Now that you know the basics to bottle flipping,
why don't you try some trick shots?
Maybe you want to do the Cap.
Where you hold it upside down
and flip it so it lands on its cap.
Or the Double.
Where you flip it two times.
Or even the 1 and 1/2.
Where you hold it upside down
and flip it 1 and 1/2 times.
Or even up on a high ledge.

Oh, I did it! Let's go!

Maybe you want to do a high ledge.
[Fake crying]
I got it. I got it.
Oww.
Oh!
More of an arch. More of a flip.
Should we do the ledge there?
Oh! Let's go!
