foreign
in this tutorial we'll show you how you
can work with or train people using the
FL Studio trial version without sharing
your license with them
not only is licensed sharing not allowed
but there is also an educational benefit
to doing it this way
with the FL Studio trial you can create
edit render and save full song projects
no registration needed just download the
FL Studio trial and install it
if the unlock window opens when you open
FL Studio click continue trial
the only limitation here is once a
project has been saved with the trial it
can only be reopened by someone with an
FL Studio license meaning you your
counterpart who is using the trial
version can work on the project and save
it for one whole session at a time
provided they do not use any plugins you
don't own you will be able to open the
project every time they do so and save
it again this opens up a workflow
particularly suited to Educators as
follows
step one your collaborator or student
starts a new project in the trial
version of FL Studio and saves their
project flp or zip then they send it to
you who has a license via instant
message cloud folder or email and you
work on it or not and save it again then
send it back since you saved it they can
now open it again alternatively you the
licensed user can create a project and
send it to your collaborator or Student
First
Step 2 the unlicensed collaborator can
open this project because you saved it
work on it and continue to save it along
with their changes until they close the
project for that session
step 3 they send the project back to you
who can open it work on it or not and
save it again
step 4 you send the project back to the
collaborator who can now open it again
and work on it again and so on I'm sure
you can see what's going on here
put simply trial users can open FL
Studio start a project and save an open
project as many times as they like until
they close FL Studio or open a new
project that is they have ended the
session with the original project
licensed users however can reopen that
same project and save it when they save
it then the trial user can open it again
and edit it until they end the FL studio
session with that project
you can keep working in this cycle with
a collaborator or student until the
course or project is completed
for example teachers can open students
homework projects check them and save
them again this makes it hard to tamper
with homework project files right before
a lesson and also keeps a close
relationship between student and teacher
since the student must submit projects
if they need to continue work on them
for future lessons and they also have to
complete tasks in one go every time they
close FL Studio or switch projects
they're either done with a task or have
to start it from scratch this approach
helps in building speed with the
software
please note the FL Studio trial is a
preview of the FL Studio all plugins
Edition
this gives your collaborator or student
access to all FL Studio features and
plugins while in trial they can render
to audio MP3 wave or Flac at any time
before they close a project
this may lead to them choosing to use
plugins you don't have in their projects
so make sure that you let them know what
plugins you have access to so you are
both on the same page
see the feature comparison page to learn
what is included in your FL Studio
Edition and what plugins and features to
avoid in collaboration with trial users
or they could buy all plugins Edition
just saying happy music making
