today I'm going to show you how to use a
fishhook clasp like these ones that are
displayed here they're also known as
safety clasps this is how they look when
they're loose this is how they look when
it's on a stronger necklace or bracelet
so these clasps actually have a safety
mechanism that's the reason why they're
called a safety clasp because in the
case that it ever becomes untangled it
catches on to a safety latch here so
just to understand a little bit more to
open the clasp all you need to do is
squeeze this the pincher here and it'll
catch on to the safety latch and then
simply slide it off just like that to
put it back on very easily you just
simply need to catch it on to this last
safety latch here and simply squeeze and
push it in so it's very easy this is
among one of the most common classes
that are used on pearls today oftentimes
we have customers that sometimes call
their concern because their clasp stop
clicking into place so they'll stick it
in and it just stays loose oftentimes
they don't know that it's because they
use the clasp so much that this V
portion here becomes a little bit too
narrow so you can very easily just widen
that out a little bit you can do that
with your hands and then try it again
and it'll go right back into place
[Music]
like that you should hear the click when
it goes back in just like that it's
pretty easy to put on and among some of
the most secure and safe clasps on the
market today if you have any other
questions you can be reached by email or
phone thank you so much
