in this video we will show you how to
reset your personal identification
number on your Toshiba encrypted USB
flash drive understanding that security
is the most important reason for this
device keeping your PIN private is
important for the same reason however if
you forget your PIN there is no way to
retrieve your encrypted data
remember all stored information will be
rendered irretrievable after ten
consecutive unsuccessful attempts to
enter your PIN if you forget your PIN
you can still use the Toshiba encrypted
USB flash drive but you will need to
reset it and in the process all stored
data will be permanently erased but if
you need to perform a reset here's how
to do it press the key button both the
red and green LEDs will blink together
press the key button again only the red
LED will blink now press and hold the
key button in the number two button for
three seconds the red and green LEDs
will again blink together
enter 999 and press the key button the
LEDs will turn off press the key button
again the red LED will be on solid when
the red LED is on solid a new user pin
will need to be set prior to use to set
a new pin after a reset press the key
button and the red LED will be on solid
press and hold the key button for three
seconds the red and green LEDs will
illuminate together enter your new pin
and press the key button again the LEDs
will now blink together reenter the pin
and press the key button again the LEDs
will blink rapidly and then only the
green LED will blink your new pin is set
and you can now connect the Toshiba
encrypted USB flash drive to your
computer
once connected you will need to reformat
the device use this management on a
Windows PC or Disk Utility on a Mac
while the device is formatting the blue
LED will flash when the blue LED is on
solid the device is ready to use for
