hey guys this video is sponsored by diff
I where I just wanted to show you guys
the pair that they sent me this is
actually so diff actually makes glasses
that are really good at blocking blue
light so the light that comes from your
computer TV or phone screens and it's
really useful if you play for many many
hours I do like 10 our streams and these
are really good for hell you know
usually my eyes are feeling tired or
they hurt but while I'm wearing the blue
light blocking glasses it actually
really helps me stream and play for a
lot longer the pair that I have is the
Gorgon black and blue light technology
clear lens and they look pretty stylish
the glass is good quality the link is in
the description if you guys want $25 off
a purchase from here I would strongly
recommend it what's up guys shade cells
here for another video and today I want
to talk about how to get into elite
smash and this is something that a lot
of people I feel like don't understand
the concept of I actually found an
article a while back I actually can't
find it anymore because so much more
contents coming out about it but it was
basically Sakurai explaining how GSP
works and how elite mode functions so
very quickly I want to show you guys my
GSP and talk about a few things here and
there
so basically GSP will either increase or
decrease every single day so when I
upload a video of you know let's say my
GSP is 1.2 in the video then that you
know I see a lot of comments of people
saying oh my GSP so much more than yours
and what you guys don't understand is
that everyday GSP goes up and down now
by the time you guys are telling me my
jeez so much higher than yours mine's is
1.5 mine is already 1.7 and that's
without me even playing or touching the
game I I haven't been playing so GSP
this number represents the number of
players you are better than how many
players you are better than so right now
I am better than 1.9 million players
right roughly if your GSP is 1 it means
you're better than 0 players so having
one as a GSP is probably the worst that
you can possibly have it now Sakurai
said that he did not want to create a
leaderboard where people can see
everyone's GSP because it would make
other players feel bad which is what he
doesn't want to do now I think that that
kind of defeats the purpose of
competition if you're gonna have you
know GSP in the first place
but you know who am I to talk right so
the reason GSP fluctuates on the daily
is because new people are buying the
game and they're going online
when brand new people go online your GSP
is gonna go up why because now you're
better than those brand new players so
it's adding to everyone's GSP so expect
GSP to go up a lot more after Christmas
because a lot of kids are gonna be
getting smash ultimate for Christmas and
they're gonna play online which is gonna
just boost everyone's GSP without having
to do anything so do keep in mind that
the way that these video you know when I
when videos are put out the GSP is gonna
be a lot higher after the day they're
released so think about that the second
thing how do I get into elite mode so if
you notice some of my characters are
grayed out some of them have not made it
into elite mode
and basically right now my GSP is at a
point where I don't I just have to win
one game with each character to get them
fully into elite mode and I almost have
the whole roster I'm probably gonna be
doing that on my stream again soon but
in order to unlock elite smash you have
to have a high enough win percentage now
the game doesn't tell you how high your
win rate needs to be but I can show you
guys my win percentage and that could
give you an idea of what it might be
so I've played 293 battles and I have
won 251 now this is an 85% win rate I
actually did the math I divided you know
251 by 293 multiplied by 100
it's 85 percent roughly almost 86
percent so I think it's safe to assume
that if you have at least an 85% win
rate and you've played enough matches
you can get into elite mode I don't know
where the threshold is I don't know if
you need 80 percent or 75 is good enough
or 60s good enough I'm not exactly sure
but be sure to look at your win
percentage and try to use that as a
gauge to know if you should be an elite
mode or not obviously your GSP is gonna
go up the higher that your win rate your
win percentages but this is basically
the determining factor so and if you'll
see the number of battles I've played in
elite mode have been 175 and I've only
lost 45 of those so it does get a little
bit harder especially when you're
juggling multiple characters but
basically this is how it works you want
to you know try and win as often as you
can obviously and it helps if you use
one character because you can climb
higher with one character if you start
jumping around to different characters
you actually gain GSP a little bit
slower because if you can just
win a lot more with that one character
you'll then unlock Ally smash and then
you can start bringing all your other
characters into elite mode but if you're
constantly jumping around it's hard to
really increase your GSP by that much if
you're dividing it amongst many
different characters so hopefully that
sheds some insight on how the system
works I know the game doesn't really
explain too much but basically GSP is
the number of players you're better than
and elite mode is unlocked do to win
percentage and GSP as well so you kind
of want to hide GSP but if your win
percentage isn't high enough I don't
think it'll unlock because I've asked
friends that have similar GSP as amount
amount to meet and they're not in elite
mode
they have like a 40% win rate but
they're close to like 1.9 million and
it's the game you know isn't letting
them in so I'm also guys important to
note that you have to close the software
and reopen it in order for the game to
put you in elite mode because I actually
hit elite mode and then I kept playing
but it didn't notify me that I that I
activated it right so someone in my
stream chat told me hey you have to
close the software and reopen it and
then when I did that I got notified that
I am in fact allowed into elite mode and
I started playing on there hopefully
this helped you guys out a little bit if
it did please give it a thumbs up
