all right so today I'm coming to you to
help you unlock or reset your Motorola
Droid Razr now this is easier to manage
voicemail bubble okay we don't want that
so first things first if you have a
locked phone or if you for some reason
have tried to do the password too many
times and now you have to login with an
email if you found the phone if a friend
or family member gave you the phone or
you just forgot your password forgot
your email forgot all that this is going
to help you out so first things first is
you want to turn the phone completely
off you want to power it off completely
for this process to begin always takes a
little while for the phone to shut down
now the reason why I discovered this
because my cousin gave me this phone
because yet it's sitting around in his
house and he had no use for it and had a
locked password on it so he couldn't
connect it to his actual account now
what you want to do is you're going to
press both the the top and the bottom
volume button at the same time and then
you're going to hit you're going to hit
the power button okay so we're going to
we're going to put the two down and then
we're gonna hit the power button BAM
okay
then let go right away now you'll have a
screen that says boot mode select select
menu I know you can't see it and I
apologize what you're going to do is
you're going to scroll down in the
available boot modes to recovery so
you're going to press the the down
volume button down volume button to get
to recoveries when you get to recovery
then you're going to press the up volume
press the up volume to select it then
it's going to come to this this screen
it's going to take a second and then
you're going to have a picture that pops
up on to your screen it's going to look
like a dead Android now you can't really
see it again my apologies
so it's going to look like a dead
Android and when that happens you're
going to hit the up and the down volume
at the same time BAM and then another
screen is going to come up is going to
say Android system recovery now what
you're going to do here is you're going
to you're going to use the down volume
button to go down to wipe data / factory
reset and then you're going to hit the
power button so hit the power button on
the side and it's going to say to
confirm the wipe of all the data then
what you want to do is use the down
volume button to scroll down to yes
delete all user data and you're going to
hit again the power button to confirm
that and it's going to go through this
process of wiping the data and
formatting the data and pretty much
clearing the whole phone of everything
including the password or the passcode
and it's going to start it from the
beginning as if you were to just get
this phone now this process might take a
minute or two depending on how much data
you have in your phone how many pictures
or whatever the case may be so it goes
through and goes through and goes
through and goes through and it says
diet data wipe complete then up top it
says Android system recovery utility and
the first one is going to say reboot
systems now then what you're going to do
is you're going to do the reboot systems
now and you're going to use the power
button to select that BAM now it's going
to reboot the entire phone
now last time I did this it took a few
minutes and it actually and then my
phone died because it was on the low
battery but now the phone will start up
from the very beginning
