If you don't know what a peep hole is, it's a fisheye lens

it shows you a wide field of vision so you can see who's outside your

front door. If you hang things like wreaths, you want to take that into account

so we're putting this high enough to see through the wreath

and at the right height for the home occupant. You don't want to place it

so that the person living in the home has to get on a stool if they're not very tall.

This is one I'm going to install. It's two parts and as you can see

there's not much room for error. See the lip at the top and the bottom

if I drill the whole the wrong size it's going to show so I have to make sure

the hole I drill is the exact size.

I found the mark to be made on the inside

of the door of

how high we want it to be and I'm just looking to the other side, I can see both sides

of the door at the same time if I stand in the middle of it

and use a ruler. Here I don't need one because there's a center panel.

I'm marking a piece a paper and folding it in half so I can find the center.

Make sure you get the center of the door because you don't want to be off.

It will look stupid.

I'm going to drill twice.

First a pilot hole. I should have chose a smaller bit.

This door is hollow on the inside. You can see foam coming out. Its fiberglass
