hey it's efficient roadside assistance
and today we're going to help a customer
who has locked their key inside their
trunk so
the trunk button doesn't work because
the key is locked in the trunk
and the engine cannot recognize the key
to unlock the trunk we are going to
remove the key lock cylinder
so to do that we're going to go to the
driver's door
and remove this little rubber patch
with the flat head screwdriver like this
and in that hole there should be a screw
there we go
and with the 10 millimeter socket we're
gonna unscrew it
and from the bottom of the keyhole we're
just going to pry it open a bit
and it should come out the cover
that is the key lock cylinder right
there
we're just gonna screw it a bit more
just so it could come out
[Music]
so we're gonna pry it open a bit just so
the key lock cylinder could come out
pop out like that
[Music]
we're going to look into the hole where
the key cylinder was
and we're going to use the flathead
screw driver as a key
so this trunks should pop out it should
open
and there it is it's just open
that's our customer with our key and now
we're going to put everything back
[Music]
that's the key cylinder now we're gonna
put it back and where it was now we're
going to screw it
[Music]
and then we're going to put the key
cover back on
[Music]
and remember just to not forget the
little
rubber patch just to make it look like
how it used to look like
there you go you should be shut
