so in this video I'm going to show you
how to open Microsoft docx docx Excel
files XLS and many more very easily and
for free I happen to be on Windows 8 so
this works for the Windows 8 users
windows 7 I'm assuming Windows XP Vista
we're gonna head over to Google and
we're going to type in a program called
OpenOffice and OpenOffice is a free
program that allows you to open and work
with these types of files and it's
really great so we can just go to
openoffice.org and click on I want to
download OpenOffice languages and it
looks like I can scroll down here a
little bit look at all these languages
too I mean here's English us I'll just
download the Windows Exe file and that
is downloading right now
up and there's the Installer I can click
on yes and that just kicks us into the
wizard and we'll just unpack and
complete the wizard and that's really
all we need to do so you can see here I
have my three documents here that I'll
attempt to open so click on finish and
that's it that's all we really need to
do now all these documents we can just
for instance I could just click on this
doc and it will open in OpenOffice and
it looks very similar to Microsoft Word
and so I here I can I can see that
document I can see the text that was
inside of it if I wanted to I could edit
the text some more and save it as a doc
I can save it as a XML which is the
older Microsoft Word file format that's
it I mean that's pretty good it doesn't
really get any better than that if you
don't have those programs and you want
to open these files and work with these
files I hope you found this video
resourceful and helpful if you did
please leave comment and let me know
what happens thanks for watching
