hey everyone nick berlin with berlin
builds today i'm going to show you how
to put together
this dwx726 dewalt miter saw
stand this thing is awesome so stay
tuned we're going to make your life a
lot easier
first you gotta open up the box
all right first thing i like to do is
lay everything out so that way
it's easy to find now they're always
going to tell you
familiar yourself familiarize yourself
with the instruction manual
and they're right it is really savvy or
just watch my video one of the two and
you'll be all right
so if you're like me when you see these
little zip ties right here you're gonna
think oh i should cut those
do not cut those they're actually
keeping the stand folded up
so the instructions tell you to assemble
everything else
before you cut these so do not cut them
again
not a good idea if you're looking for
the allen wrench like we were
it's right here on this back corner of
the saw the next step
is you're going to take the handle it's
got the two black caps on it
and you're going to find the end that's
got i think it's hydraulics is the best
way to call it
but all these little fancy gadgets and a
little red handle this is the side
that you're going to put this piece on
so what you'll do is you'll slide it in
and you'll get the holes lined up
so now you've got two holes right here
so you're gonna take the little bolt
and the little curved washer that comes
with it and you're gonna tighten that
down
[Music]
so your next step is to take the other
handley looking thing
and to put it on the other side and you
do it the same way
now you might actually need to pop it up
though like see laying it flat
i'm going to grab something and stick it
under there to prop it up so that way
it's just easier to do
now i've got that propped up i'm just
going to slide this on
make it so you can see those holes and
it's just the same process as before
you got the little curved washer and the
bolt
now you've got two little bolts a big
one and a little one
and two lock washers and those go to the
handle
that you're gonna put on this side of
the saw so the handle
goes on like this and then there's two
holes there's a big hole and then
there's a little hole
the big bolt goes in the big hole and
the little bolt goes in a little hole
you just watched me tell you where to
put the little bolt and i was putting it
in the right place
but from the wrong direction so put the
little bolts in from this direction and
your life is gonna be a lot easier
all right so now you're gonna do your
wheel so you're gonna take the long bolt
you put a flat washer on there and then
you're gonna take this little
i'm gonna call a spacer don't don't beat
me up because i'm not
totally sure what it's called but this
little spacer you're gonna throw that on
and you're gonna run that through your
wheel
like this and you slide that on
and then you got a flat washer and then
you've got
a nut right here so it's a nut
i'm pretty sure it's three quarters of
an inch for your socket
but we will find out shortly
all right so it is a three quarter so
you're gonna want a three quarter inch
socket
and a three quarter inch wrench so i'm
just going to hold the wrench
right here on this side and you just
tighten it up right here
and now once you have that one on you're
gonna do the other wheel
so the next step is we gotta put the saw
on the stand
but we need to flip the stand over
before you put the saw on it
because it's gonna be a lot easier that
way
now if you're panicking because you're
saying where are the mounting bolts in
your package of goodies that you got
they're actually already attached to
soft so you have four of them right here
and you just
use that same allen wrench to undo those
and then you'll use those same bolts to
attach your saw to the stand
i don't know why but mine was
ridiculously hard to get off
so i just used a pipe to give myself
some more leverage so handy trick for
you
if you need to if one's really stuck
good you can put your pipe on there
and make your handle longer and it'll
make your life a lot easier
just something to be aware of you have
these rails right here
and they're attached with these six
different bolts now
i'm putting a dewalt miter saw onto this
so this is actually already set up
for my miter saw so i don't need to
loosen these what you can do is there's
these six points
and all you have to do is loosen them
and then you can slide these rails
to be the width of whatever microsoft
you're trying to
mount onto this now you're just going to
take your saw
and set it on there gently
and line it up so it's pretty centered
on the mount so now you're gonna do is
there's these little pieces that kind of
slide along i don't know if you can see
that right there
but we've got this little piece so i've
got my finger underneath there and what
i can do is i can slide it
so i'll just slide it so it's lines up
with this hole
and i'll put this piece in and i'll just
start it
and that's what you're going to do for
all four of the different mounting holes
that you have on your saw
this saw just if you're curious this is
the model ds-779
so i was wrong this mounting rail was
just a hair
too far that way so i did i ended up
having to loosen these screws
and i had to slide it this way one thing
to be aware of before you start
tightening up all the bolts
is to make sure that there's actually a
slot
where your hole is because now i have to
loosen this one to slide the saw over
to line up with the slot so just be
aware of that before you get too far
down the road
so remember those those zip ties that we
said that you shouldn't cut
well now is the time to cut them and the
instruction manual says be very careful
because it can
pop up while you're doing it so that's
why i've got my foot
on the saw just just an
added measure of safety and then if you
use a really sharp knife
it's a little bit easier than what i'm
trying to do i haven't sharpened this
knife for a while so
here we go
all right it didn't pop up on us so
that's good
and now the moment that we've all been
waiting for raising and lowering
the saw so right here you have this
little red lip
so what you're going to do is you're
going to flip this over and you're going
to use the handle
to help lift it up so you put one foot
here
flip that lever over and you just lift
up itself
like that now you need to hold this
and you go higher and let it drop down
into it
and now it's nice and secure and if
you're wanting to lower it
flip the handle lift up you'll feel
release
and then you can let it go the rest of
the way down
and that's how you operate that i'm
going to put the extension bar in so you
want this vertical piece where
most of it is down and then this pointy
end the instructions show up being on
the side of the saw where your
pneumatics are we're just going to slide
that in
and then you can set these up on either
side
i'm going to put this one right here for
now
and then you do the same thing on the
other side you do need to put these in
that will actually make sure you can
adjust your height and hold like this
and that's all there is to it once
you've done all these different steps
your stand
is ready to go and you're ready to go
start prepping stuff thanks so much for
watching
make sure you hit that subscribe button
as well as like the video if this was
helpful to you
