welcome to the channel my name is Franco
and in today's
covering programming of the Honeywell
seven-day thermostat now this is going
to be a two-part video first parts going
to be programming of the thermostat
second part is gonna be the
configuration settings that you can
access through the hidden menu
so what else further ado let's cut to
the clip alright folks we're back here
and and we're doing part one of the
video we're gonna go over the basics
programming and setup of this part 2
will be the advanced menu so let's get
into it so you have three buttons on the
left side set hold and run and so what
you want to do first is make sure it's
an off
so if heat off and cool put it in the
middle position for off for programming
and then then you can go ahead and set
your time so the time is gonna flash set
your time and then set your date so you
want to set your day
it says Monday so we'll just do that
next would be you have four periods okay
with this this thermostat you have you
have wake you have leave you have return
and then you have sleep okay
so as you progress through the menu here
it's gonna go from wake you know leave
return and sleep for each one of the
days is a 7-day programmable thermostat
so other models have different formats
but this one it will be individual days
for periods per day so this is gonna
give you some a flash for each time so
you set the time here when you want it
to to come up to a setpoint temperature
so at 6 o'clock it's going to turn on
and it's gonna it's gonna stay 78
until the next period okay so what if
you set that's number two it's gonna
it's gonna keep that temperature that
setpoint till the next period
so as you were going to advance through
that you can see that out of functions
and then the leave will be 85 so these
these are just random temperatures here
but you can see how he when you walk
through this it goes through each period
and then allows you to change you change
by using the arrows so if you wanted to
change that you just hit your arrows you
want to change the temperature the
setpoint temperature you just hit your
arrows for whatever you want it to be so
you keep on progressing through each day
and each of the four periods per day and
you will set this customize this to
however you want progressed to Thursday
keep on advancing through the menu here
for each day as simple as that it's a
matter of setting this the time you want
it to come up to temperature and then
then the the temperature you want the
setpoint temperature you want and then
keep on doing that for each period okay
and then as soon as you come up to
Sunday it's gonna
go back to the normal menu normal screen
okay so that's the normal screen this is
what's gonna you can see when it's in
when it's in operation so we have it in
the off position so depending on what
you want you want to either heat or cool
so you know obviously you set it to you
Mon okay so that says hold we're gonna
clear that by just going into run we're
gonna explain these these other buttons
in a second so we're in heat mode okay
it could be the heat or cool so it's up
to you depending on what time of the
year you're at you know you're at so so
the difference in between these two
right here you always want to hit and
run this one will run the profess set
program that you have
so whatever the whatever your custom
program is you always want to hit and
run and you're gonna see this your
regular screen it's going to go into the
into the period of the day that it's set
to and it's gonna override any other
settings so if you were to do a
temporary adjustment say if you wanted
right now you want to go up to 70
degrees you just use your arrows use
your the arrows to open manually
override this will hold temporary so
what's gonna happen is it's gonna hold
this okay up until the next period next
allotted period they have set so say if
it was at three o'clock it's gonna hold
that 70 degrees that we have is set to
until three o'clock and then it's going
to continue on with it whatever
temperature that's set for the next
period so that's just temporary that's
it's only going to be for each for the
current period that it's in the next
period that comes up it's always gonna
default back to that program and you
don't you know you don't have to do
anything else it's just on
gonna default into the next set point
temperature so to go back into the
normal run mode you just hit run and
I'll bring you back into a normal
program they have they have set next
function on hand that you might want to
know about is the hold button okay the
whole button gives you the option of say
when I go back up to 70 degrees
it says temporary but once you hit hold
its gonna hold that forever now okay so
it says hold and it's gonna hold it
indefinitely until you come in manually
oh and you know hit and run or you know
off on this on this unit so you're gonna
keep that in mind when you use hold it's
very easy you might be easy to forget
that you gonna set 270 okay
and so just keep that in mind that's it
that's a permanent override so of course
if you want to go back to your normal
program all you could do is hit run and
I switched it back into the into the
period that it's in and it's gonna
continue on with the normal default
program that you set so that's about it
we covered all the basic functions here
what's left is the fan switch here it's
either you can set it to auto or on so
auto is gonna turn on say if you had
this thing and if you had um forced hot
air or forced you know for for central
air okay whether you had an heater cool
if you keep it on auto it's going to be
automatic okay it's gonna turn off and
on as it needs to be if you switch this
to the on position it's gonna be a
manual override it's gonna stay on like
and it's not gonna turn off it's gonna
stay on indefinitely whether whatever
this is set to so this is only if you
want to circulate the air in your house
or whatever
it is a it will stay on as long as you
have this thing switched on so you want
to keep this in Auto well I hope that
covers everything and if you know this
is a very simple thermostat to use you
have a good read oh I'm pretty happy
with it I have about six of them in my
house and I am all set two different
times and temperatures for whatever I
need to keep things you know from
overconsumption well that sums up part
one and if you have questions or
comments please place them down below
