good morning guys this is jeff with hks
systems lock and safe
if you're watching this video you're
probably wondering i've lost my safe
combination or i can't find it or i
can't remember
it what do i do next well if you call me
we're going to go through a quick
couple steps of what's going to happen
firstly i'm going to ask you if you have
id
if you don't have id or you're hesitant
to show me id
there's probably a reason why you don't
want to show it to me or be
part of it is because you shouldn't be
in there
second thing i'm going to ask is your
safe got a name on it
not the safe lock the safe itself
sometimes it'll have a name on there
sometimes it won't
second question i'm going to ask is it a
mechanical safe
meaning turns with the dial or is it a
digital safe with
it has push buttons makes beeps goes and
lights up
third thing it could be a key one of
those three
typically it's going to be one of those
three then i'll probably ask you
does the safe manufacturer have a serial
number on it if they do
sometimes it's just as easy to call a
safe manufacturer for a minor fee
we could call get you the safe
combination check your id
have you in no holes no issues
relatively cheap
second step would be coming out
seeing what brand it is then we actually
have
full databases of safes
everything from years and years and
years and years and
many different makes manufacturers
blueprints of every
kind you could imagine so we're going to
need to know
what brand it is before we come out to
see what's behind the door
it's just like an auto mechanic you have
to tell him your year making model
before he could give you a quote on
anything
same as me i need to know i'm not gonna
model or make
what kind of lock it is who makes a safe
something like that
and what do i think about the the
mechanical versus electronic
i'm a fan of the mechanical to be honest
with you sergeant and greenleaf
although they've been around for
hundreds of years very good company
um the digital they're okay
depends which brand they are but i the
one reason i really like
digital safes and locks is this
this was last year's haul of safes and
locks that i
had to come and open and i made money on
every one of those
so that being said do i
think the mechanical safes are better
not necessarily they're probably
better in the long run but there's
nothing wrong with digital i actually
have digitals on my own safes
believe it or not um the brand i use
though is securam
and i can honestly say this year i've
not had a single issue with any securim
last year i did not have any
so it's very rare those go bad but what
we're going to do then
you give us the make and model we'll
probably be able to tell you how much
it's going to cost
if there's serial numbers it's going to
be one price if there's
going to be drilling it's going to be
another price
the drilling on almost all these will be
the same thing
we're going to remove the dial drill
behind the dial ring in a certain
location we have to know what's behind
the door before we do that
then we're going to open up the safe and
repair it just a factory new
no holes no issues and uh
you'll be back in shape and if you
needed service for that
more specialized in that hks systems
lock and safe
