this video is intended just as a
demonstration of how to power AGM land
radio outside of the vehicle say you
wanted to use it in a different vehicle
say you wanted to use it on a bench in a
garage whatever if you've pulled one of
these out of your vehicle pretty much
these radios don't power up without a
digital on signal there is an exception
to that rule I have found through lots
of research and personal experience 2006
and 2007 saturn ion and saturn vue
stereos identical to this one here the
blackface will power up like a normal
radio and work in any application they
don't need dealer activation they don't
need a code they don't need a digital on
signal they just work I believe it's
because Saturn by that time was the
walking dead and they didn't want to
invest any money into a new onboard
computer system for the vehicles being
made in Spring Hill any Saturn that
isn't made in Spring Hill Tennessee
probably has the land 11 system this
here is out of a 2007 Center or it
requires this adapter as well despite it
being in 2007 so the radio to get one of
these that doesn't require any stupid
adapter to work has to specifically come
from a 2006 or 2007 I just honestly go
with an ion they see in every one I've
ever taken from an ion always just works
now this is out of a 2008 Chevy Cobalt
vehicle is wrecked I paid 20 bucks for
it at a junkyard up north
nothing to it first power in it right
now but it doesn't work see nothing just
lights you just press the info button
only think it give us a clock now behind
it is the GM excuse me yeah no it's the
GM Land 11 bit adapter basically is what
this is it's just a little black box
with some wires on it made by the
Pacific accessory company just Lam 11 on
it's got some global wires coming out of
it they plug into the radio this is the
cars harness here and this is this is a
pack eleven tarnis here it just plugs
into the radios and back there i've
already more wires on a new one these
are also designed for amplifiers and
stuff but i just wanted it to turn the
radios on as you can see these wires
here go to a power switch I'm only
running the radio off a three amp twelve
volt power supply and a couple cheap
beat-up RCA speakers now take the switch
magic radio the radio suddenly comes to
life
and just like that the radio is working
outside of the vehicle these radios in
their natural environment require a
digital on signal from the car and if
you switch this between cars it'll
display a lot and will require dealer
activation I'm not entirely sure how the
land 11 works this little adapter back
there I've never been able to figure it
out I believe it might put the radio
into some kind of like test mode because
I've never I've never hooked one of
these up and had it's a locked yet but
I've heard of it in vehicles that's all
there is to it these radios can be had
cheap all-day hell a lot of junkyards
get these and just throw them away
because while they are high-end radios
they're usually locked to the vehicle or
the junkyard doesn't know what to do
with them because they're not like a
normal radio so I got this for $20 it
gives us Auto Salvage Anita Menasha $20
and the quality of this radio is far
superior to any aftermarket 150 dollars
or less this just absolutely just blows
them away yeah when you start getting up
to the after mark it's over like $200
yeah they're going to be better than
this but for the money you can't beat
these radios 20 bucks for that I paid 60
bucks for that online with free shipping
and it's so little and the switch has
plenty of wire so you want to install
this into a some old GM vehicle or any
kind of old vehicle that you can fit
this in the dash which I did on a 2002
Saturn and you know what you hide the
switch off to the side you turn the
radio on the radio holds this memory it
holds the clock it works like a normal
radio the only difference is you have to
flip the switch to turn it on it won't
turn on off the ignition so there you go
80 bucks and you have a superior quality
radio that these can be had with usb on
them USB six CD changer
they play mp3 CDs they come with
auxilary input these are great quality
radios and they have and they have great
quality sound it's just the way GM
designed them unless you know how to
turn them on they're garbage
so this video is a demonstration of how
to turn these on to operate these radios
the GM LAN radios in pretty much all
vehicles after all 2006 you need to pack
land 11 on there's a 29 also version of
this land 29 on certain vehicles have it
I'll just put it in the text description
how to separate an 11-bit radio from a
29 bit radio because this won't power on
a 29 bit radio the radio just sits there
and does this sits there and does
nothing alright any questions feel free
