we have a gravel driveway but to make it
more
resilient we're going to put concrete
and brush it
into the gravel it'll make it stronger
more durable flatter and resilient
against water
concrete will often go on sale if you
have a torn bag or something you might
find it for
a dollar for one of these bags and it's
a perfect opportunity to
use on the driveway
this is mortar mix um for a dollar it
will work perfectly
so i'll tear it open kind of just let it
sit right here and then i'll brush it
around
this part of the driveway in particular
has a lot of water flow over it
and so this is where we're starting
make sure it's protected
here's another bag see that this method
one bag will take you pretty far
i just kept sweeping out until you see
the
gravel underneath start to put through
and here's another bag
of mortar mix oh there it goes
great mix which is just fine um it's got
more aggregate which will just blend
into the driveway
the concrete here will also help us get
a
harder line between the grass and the
driveway better than with the gravel
yeah we've got some sand mix we'll throw
on
if there's a low or a high spot now is
the
best time to make the correction here
with a broom
i'm happy with how even it is and i'm
going to
put water sprinkle just sprinkle the
water over
we want to set before the rain hits it
we don't want the rain to wash it away
we'll start off with the edges to make
sure that
this concrete gets locked in
this section here is about 10 bags um
and so that's 10 bucks so this comes out
to about 350 square foot
for a pretty big area and it's gonna be
a whole lot stronger
