Shadow of War brings back a lot of the same gameplay mechanics we all loved in Shadow
of Mordor.
With that in mind, dominating and branding of Orcs is definitely back and it allows you
to recruit Uruks into your ranks!
Let's go over two ways you can recruit some Captains to bolster your army's forces.
With the first way, you're going to have to find out where an enemy Captain is hanging
out.
This can easily be done by heading over to the pause menu and selecting the Army section.
From here, highlight the captain you'd like to hunt down and select them.
This makes them a mark on your map, and you can easily find their location.
Once you have one of these Captains in front of you, it's time to bring on the pain.
Hurt them until a "broken" icon appears above their head.
It's green and flashes to let you know that it's time to dominate.
At this point, you're going to want to hold the button to do so.
This can be Circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One, depending on what you're playing.
Hold it down until it's completely filled, at which point Talion will grab onto the Uruk's
head.
Choose the "Recruit" option, and you'll have your very own Captain.
If you grab onto an orc that's a higher level than you, you'll need to shame them to make
them lose a few.
At this point, it would be rinse and repeat to get them to join your ranks.
There is a skill you can learn that helps speed up the amount of time it takes for you
to dominate, and I greatly advise you to get that if what you're looking to do is build
up an army.
The second way to recruit yourself Captains is by getting the War chests from the Market
section.
Head over to the pause menu and select Market.
Here, you'll see War chests that bring you followers that you can deploy into different
parts of the world.
Microtransactions are lame for a $60 game, so I recommend just spending your silver on
the chests when you've saved up enough of them from battle or selling your loot.
That's all there is to recruiting Orcs!
Thanks for watching.
