the Today Show wanna show you how to
restore you came already that's right so
stay tuned every now and then when you
have a radio sometimes it'll lock up
sometimes you'll do a bunch of crazy
things in the menu system or sometimes
you just want to bring it back to fresh
out of the box either way
Kenwood allows you to do that there's
two ways you can do it depending on how
deep you want to go into that rabbit
hole we'll say so a lot of the times
it's just as simple the radios buttons
aren't doing what they're supposed to do
and you want to reset the radio just to
restart the microprocessor in order to
do that it's something with a point on
it this is just a little screwdriver
come over here to the red triangle take
this guy like this push it in hold it
for five seconds release it radio go
ahead and restart reset the
microprocessor and be all set ready to
go for the most part if you need to do a
more thorough reset or like we call a
restore meaning get it back to factory
out-of-the-box settings so this would be
helpful if you've gone in and set up
some crossovers or some EQ or some menu
settings and you just don't remember
where they were what you did or it's
acting funny and then it doesn't sound
right anymore
maybe somebody played with it and you
know how it's supposed to be set up and
you can't figure out where it's at well
that's a really deep restore setting so
we'll show you how to do that now this
this takes two people unless you have a
third hand that's long enough to
actually reach leave it at that
so the first thing you want to do is
hold the eject button which is here and
the menu of volume button here you're
going to press both those at the same
time while you're holding both of those
press the reset button keep holding
those until it boots back up actually
don't let go at any point
now over here once this comes on you can
let go just like you did over here where
it says initialize all highlight that
now initializing press this one more
time it'll load back up
and I'll be back to factory settings so
now you can go ahead and redo everything
that you had previously screwed up
before or you know what I mean you know
that's that's it so that'll restore the
whole radio and get it back to
out-of-the-box setting right all right
you have any questions comments in order
to leave them otherwise thank you for
