this happening guys today I'm going to
show you how to start your Ford Explorer
with a dead key for the first thing I do
is grab your key fob and there's gonna
be a little button at the top here you
want to press that once you push that in
while you're pushing it in you want to
open up the key so it opens up just like
that I'm just gonna be another key in
there and then what you want to do is
use that key to unlock the door so if
your key fob is dead you just take that
key and then you turn it I think it only
turns to the right yep and then still
unlocked and once we get in the car
we're going to do is just put the key
fob back together so let's do this right
now
once you put the key back together what
you want to do is open your center
console here and inside the center
console so you have a little few things
in here there's gonna be a little insert
for the key so you see that right there
through my fingers pointing right there
that's a little insert for the key so
what you want to do is put in facing
forward we're gonna put the key in there
and then you just want to start your car
like normal and the car will start up so
my key fob was not dead but if your key
fob does die this is how you start your
Ford Explorer the video on my Mustang
and the Ford Taurus so originally the
key fob was dead on the Ford Taurus and
I made a video on that I was like okay
maybe I should make a video on the
Mustang and also the Explorer too just
in case somebody has a dead key fob so
this works from 2015 on - I guess 2017
2018 and yeah thanks for watching I hope
this video helped
