hi everybody this is Leo CJ trio now
what you're looking at is you're looking
at an original doorknob and lock set to
the house it's very old it's about 50
years old what I want to do is I wanted
to show you how to remove a doorknob
that has no visible screws on the
faceplate so let's get to it now what
you're gonna need is you're going to
need a little tiny screwdriver like this
it's got to be slotted and the next
thing you're going to need is a
screwdriver that's got the reversible
head on it of Philips to just the
slotted screwdriver now the screws that
we have to access are behind this
faceplate here and to get to the
faceplate we need to remove the doorknob
now the way that is done there's a
little tiny slot there can you see that
what we're gonna do is we're gonna take
our little tiny slotted screwdriver and
we're gonna depress this button here and
it's gonna allow us to pull the doorknob
off there we go alright now that we have
the doorknob off all we have to do is
pry this plate away there we go there's
our two screws and all we have to do now
is loosen them screws so you just have
to remove the back plate here and now
the doorknob should just pull right on
out so there it goes it's just that
simple now that I have the doorknob
removed now I have to go round the
corner and remove the latch assembly
now all we have to do is push the
assembly out there we go now we're ready
for the new lock this is Lea saying you
can do this see you next time
