okay I am up underneath the hood of my
Cadillac can you see that right there
can you see that little cable that
little silver cable alright all I needed
to do was put needle nose pliers on that
I pop it over and that popped my hood
now I did have to break this little
piece of plastic right here to free this
up so I could see that but it was a lot
cheaper than paying a locksmith I could
probably buy that part probably five
bucks at Cadillac but I didn't have to
pay a locksmith $350 I didn't have to go
get a key made and I was in literally in
two flippin minutes I was in my car so
this is a Cadillac STS 2005 I was locked
out when I left my lights on and the
battery died and after looking at the
forums
nobody had this solution so I'm posting
this for those of you that have the
unfortunate bad luck to have your key
fobs not be able to open your doors
because your battery's dead of course
OnStar won't work either when your
battery's dead so that is the solution
not a $350 locksmith guy coming down
anyway I borrowed a jack once I had an
open eye through a set of cables from
another car just to get enough
electricity to open the doors and then I
went and bought a new battery in my case
I'm not going to screw around with a
battery that might do this to Jimmy
again I left my lights on so my own
fault anyway there you go
Cadillac STS 2005 2006 probably 2007 I
understand that this might also be the
case for Corvette so there you go
