what is up guys wreck caucus here and
today we are going to be explaining how
to unlock new subclasses in destiny 2
and so let's get started
now at the very beginning of the game I
don't want to give away any big spoilers
for anyone who hasn't started off on
their destiny to adventure but things
will happen that will result in you only
starting with one subclass for your
class and that's regardless of which
specific class you picked at the
beginning of the game now of course the
question then remains how do I get my
second and third subclasses to unlock so
that I can use them well unfortunately
there does seem to be a degree of
randomization in the sense that the
actual thing you need to first begin
your journey to unlock a new subclass
does seem to again drop randomly so
different folks will get them at
different times however what you
actually do need to begin these subclass
quests our subclass relics you can see
that my Titan went on Titan a
coincidence I think not actually opened
up just a random patrol chest not a
special chest just a random chest
he received a special item the battered
gauntlet Titan relic this specific
subclass artifact and you can tell by
the notifications popping up that it is
a subclass artifact is the thing that
you have to do to unlock the striker
Titan subclass so how do you get these
subclass relics well again it's somewhat
random every single person I've talked
to has gotten their subclass relics from
chests so as you saw just random patrol
chest do have the chance to award you
with these subclass relics so that is
your best bet
do patrol modes try to open as many
chests as you can to unlock the
beginnings of the subclass quests
however I should mention that jury
gameplay of destiny to a player was
actually seen picking up one of these
subclass relics just randomly off the
ground not for specifically opening a
chest so it does seem like the subclass
relics are a random drop again they will
most likely drop where most people have
been getting them which is from these
patrol chests so every time you see them
guys go out of your way to open them up
because obviously unlocking new
subclasses is something you're gonna
want to be doing but you can just get
them to randomly drop as well with what
seems like a much lower chance for that
to happen now once you actually acquire
a subclass relic what happens next well
it's going to set you out on a specific
subclass quest mine the battered
gauntlet specifically said rekindle your
lost abilities by defeating enemies and
fighting alongside fellow Guardians in
public events now when I first read this
I assumed that I would level this up by
doing public events but that actually
wasn't the case although doing public
events did indeed increase the
percentage of the batter gauntlet
towards completion I actually ended up
completing this subclass relic as you
can see right here by the background
gameplay when doing a normal story
mission there was no public events
involved whatsoever when I completed
this gauntlet so guys when you do get a
subclass relic make sure to just kill a
few enemies do a few things and check
what levels it up it may indeed be the
case for you as it was for me that just
killing enemies regardless levels up
your subclass gauntlet and then you
don't have to go out of your way to get
that completed so once you have
completed your subclass relic what
happens then
well it tells you to specifically go
back to the shard of the traveler now
this is actually a unique location in
the European dead zone you can see that
you open up your locations go to earth
and then specifically go to the shard of
the traveler special location now you
have to actually be alone to do this you
cannot be with a fireteam once you do
travel to this location it will
automatically
you off on a specific subclass quest as
you can see by the background gameplay I
am unlocking my striker Titan and the
striker is specifically referenced you
can see one
you know slamming about to slam the
ground right here so that means that if
there is specific subclass quests that
you can very much likely only have one
subclass relic at a time so don't hold
on to it too long you're going to want
to complete it and then go and do the
subclass quest for it at the shard of
the traveler so that you're then open to
receive another your third subclass
relic in any event the actual subclass
quest is rather simple you're going to
kill enemies you're gonna learn more
about the subclass you're about to
unlock and then at the very end you're
going to gain the light from a shard of
the traveler which is going to give you
the access to that subclass and you're
going to be put in a position where at
getting these fountains of light is
going to instantly recharge your super
and you're just gonna get to go ham
against a bunch of enemies so you're
going to be able to experiment with and
experience your subclass super and
abilities and guys that's really all
there is to it now remember however that
your two subclasses or three subclasses
are going to share upgrade points so if
you want to level up a specific subclass
make sure you dedicate it as the place
where you're spending your upgrade
points and if you do unlock a different
subclass and you really want to level it
up make sure that you are going and
doing adventures that can actually award
upgrade points like specifically look
for those around the map directory so
that you can unlock more nodes in your
chosen subclass guys that should be it
