welcome to Adventure hydrology so this
is Matt's fault good morning we are in
beautiful Manitou Springs on this next
adventure heading to and up the incline
hiking up the incline not only do you
feel the effects of elevation huh you
can see it coming from sea level it's a
little tough already climbing 2,000
vertical feet I'm feeling every step
we're actually walking on top of this
karst geology limestone that really
gives Manitou Springs place we visited
before
it's delicious water he saw a mineral a
lack in my opinion some of the best in
the state
so still climbing up I can't help but
think of the crazy people that actually
built the narrow gauge train and rails
that went all the way up this one mouth
trail so the incline you should take
people to the top to take care of water
tanks this was the water supply from
Manitou Springs way back in the day now
this climb is a challenge for anybody
whether you're coming from elevation
here in Colorado sea level which sounds
terrible and we're Ryan's coming from so
going from zero come from sea level to
7,000 feet i'ma do a little test chris
is getting me on the other end alright
I'm going to run
go feel like Rocky
except way more out of breath yeah I
live in the mountains a little tired oh
so taking a break on this beautiful
incline enjoy the view you can see all
the people and the incline has really
been ingrained as part of the culture of
Manitou Springs hey Colorado Springs for
such a great workout a true fitness test
as you climb that 2,000 feet we talked
about
99 stairs still left to climb naina can
you imagine hiking this every day you
would be a beast so I must admit a
little lightheaded
it passed 2,000 steps really good
workout as you can see this is not water

almost the top summer run unless 22nd it
properly out of breath so my legs can
feel properly like jello looks shaken
and properly so he gives Chris a
high-five because of course he beats me
