cashing out skins it's been a staple of
cs for years and it's a way to take
those skins and buy something nice with
them after i sold my karambit blue gem i
actually used some of that money to buy
myself a home theater and it was a
massive upgrade to my life it's morbid
time but i've also pulled several snoop
dogs as well on occasion so one of the
most common ways that people do it is
they sell skins on the steam market and
if you don't care about wasting money
then this isn't a horrible option
considering its convenience because
number one it's just it's built into the
whole system like all you have to do is
just find a skin that you want to sell
and then sell it for whatever price you
want you put it up for sale and then
when someone buys it you get the money
directly in your steam account however
though if you do it this way valve and
the skin creator they get a fifteen
percent cut if you sell skin for ten
dollars you're gonna get about eight
dollars and seventy cents steem takes
the rest the fees can be very high but
obviously this is good if you do need
some steam balance to buy some more
skins on the market of course which
isn't really the best option but another
thing you can do is you can actually buy
games which i do all the time whenever i
need a new game on steam i just sell a
skin and boom i'm covered i mean hey if
using the market is your only option
then there's absolutely nothing wrong
with it don't let people gaslight you
into thinking that oh no i'll lose so
much money if i sell down here i mean
sure you do lose some money but not as
much as you'd think however though there
was another option for the longest time
if you wanted to sell for real money you
had to find somebody trustworthy to
trade with and honestly at first it was
the only way to sell your skins however
a slew of scams started popping up
impersonators exit scams and sharks the
full gambit so because of this in came
marketplaces companies with lots of
money and a reputation to maintain came
in to capitalize all they had to do is
be a middleman and allow people to
safely buy and sell skins for real cash
which means that they can bypass the
steam market fees and make millions in
the process by charging their own
smaller fees you know so it's a win-win
for everyone except for steam to buy
skins it's actually cheaper to use a
marketplace because when you trade for
cash value the skins value isn't worth
as much so obviously if a skin's worth
like 20 on steam you're only gonna get
around like 14 15 on a cash outside if
you guys have ever heard of it there was
a site called op skins back in the day
that was one of the first sites to pop
up with this model and it was extremely
popular like everyone i knew used it to
buy and sell their skins because it was
easy convenient and they had a really
good reputation you know whenever i
needed money to pay the bills or do
whatever else i could just list a few
skins for sale wait for them to sell and
get the money in a few days but
eventually it came to an end op skins
was forced to stop using csgo skins
because of the seven day trade hold and
they tried to get around that and it
just kind of backfired in their faces so
they ended up making the first set of
nfts called vgo skins and these were
essentially like fake csgo skins that
you couldn't really use in any game
besides like a few games that they made
but to be honest i wasn't a big fan of
them and ultimately because of this
change people just lost interest so the
site ended up shutting down and at this
point op skins was my main source of
income because i didn't really make a
lot of money on youtube and twitch
because you know i had a fairly small
channel and i was looking for a way to
continue to be able to do youtube
full-time and for a couple years i
didn't really have any cash out sites so
i had all these skins that i started
accumulating and i had no way to
actually sell them at the time i was
struggling financially and i would have
loved to be able to cash out the skins
but i just didn't have a way to do it
without getting scammed so many people
were being incredibly rude they were
just gaslighting me telling me like oh
do this do that like oh you have so many
skins like you're not poor like you're
not struggling for money and in reality
like the skins meant nothing to me
because no way to cash out and then
eventually i found a site called
skinport dory this isn't a t martin
situation all right because the way that
i phrased it makes it kind of sound like
that but no so i found this new site
yeah no anyways though skinport is a
trustworthy marketplace where you can
buy and sell skins for real money
obviously if you can buy whatever you
want and they actually have really good
deals on skins they have a very large
selection over half a million skins oh
look at that wait you can get a stat
track fact new howl for like basically
13k wow that's actually not a bad price
like overall you can get really good
prices on skin port let's go to the most
expensive yo wow okay that's overpriced
yeah some people list the skins for way
too much and they're never gonna sell at
that what about lowest where oh my dude
look at that float 0.0002
bro but it's like five hundred dollars
and on top of that too you can sell your
skins and actually that's the main
purpose that i kind of have for this

process to do it so because i have two
of these skins i'm going to pick the one
with the worst float and i'm going to
list it for sale and usually the
recommended price is about 78 and if you
sell it for this it's almost guaranteed
to sell however if you want to get a
little bit more you can always increase
the price but then you have a lower
chance of actually selling it or you
could even sell it for even more of a
discount but i mean i found that around
like 77 to 82 percent that's usually the
sweet spot so let's actually go for
about 80 here and then you just click on
sell it prepares the trade offer for you
you just open it up in the in the
browser confirm the trade accept you
just accept it on your phone and then
like if your steam account is fully
secured and everything is good to go
then it it'll go through like this and
it'll send you a little notification and
now it's up for sale so whenever it
sells i'll basically get the money and
then they actually send the money via a
couple different ways for most people
they do bank transfers so it's very
convenient and you can either get the
money every day every week or every
month i choose to do it once a month
because you know at the end of the month
it's always nice to get a little bit of
extra money to you know help do stuff
and that's basically how i make a living
as a small youtuber considering i don't
make a lot of money on youtube and
twitch but i'm always continually
improving the content maybe one day i'll
get to a point where i can have a little
bit more independence and finally move
out of my mom's basement but first i'll
have to become a millionaire so i can
afford that because the rent is too damn
