what's up everybody it is Nicole skies
and welcome to another episode of is it
a beauty hack or is it wet where I test
out popular beauty hacks and see if they
actually work or if they're totally wack
so body wraps are a really big thing
right now I always get blown up on
Instagram for people trying to sell me
these weird body wraps and I decided to
test it out today we are going to find
out if the DIY body wrap actually works
so what a body wrap is supposed to do is
make the problem areas of your body it's
supposed to make them sweat and you're
supposed to remove toxins by sweating in
the hour now you're not gonna lose a
significant amount of weight just
because it's gonna be water weight and
you're gonna want to you know drink more
water you're probably going to gain that
weight right back there's a bunch of
different recipes online you can try out
I just decided to try out something that
I already have at home
coconut oil we're gonna see if it works
so the first steps you need to do for a
DIY body wrap is coconut oil rub the
coconut oil on your body in the areas
that you will wrap I chose my stomach
and I also did my thighs and after you
have that all nicely rubbed in then you
get your saran wrap and start wrapping
yourself you don't want to wrap too
tight but you don't want to wrap to
boost and I noticed when I first started
doing my stomach after I wrapped it some
of it was kind of coming up and like it
was it wasn't speaking very well so I
brought myself again and I also wrapped
both of my legs and one thing I did
notice about my legs was after I had it
on for a minute it was really tight at
the top part of my thighs the the upper
part of my thighs it was really tight so
I kind of just stuck my things in there
and try to loosen it up a little bit and
what you want to do after that is on you
also can use the ace bandage over the
wrap I did not do that I did not have
one I'm not sure if it would help or not
I put clothes over my wrap so it would
stay in place better
I used a t-shirt and some yoga pants for
my legs what you want to do is sleep in
it overnight now sleeping in this
overnight was
kind of annoying um it was really hot
and sweaty in the areas of my stomach
really sweaty every time you move you
kind of hear this crinkly noise it just
it wasn't a really pleasant experience I
was able to fall asleep and sleep like I
said it was really sweaty so I ended up
waking up at about five o'clock in the
morning so this video here is shown five
o'clock in the morning and I am
unwrapping it my stomach area apart kind
of unwrapped itself it was still on
there so it still kind of did justice um
so I ended up I unwrapped my stomach and
I unbox my legs and do you guys notice
the difference in my stomach and legs I
feel like my stomach was a little bit
more defined which is weird because I
mean I don't understand how you can just
like sweat out stuff and then all of a
sudden you got like a six-pack I don't
really have a six-pack but it did kind
of work for my stomach area and I feel
like my legs were a little bit smaller
to you so here's the before and after
picture let me guys know do you notice
the difference can you tell the
difference
so would I rate this a beauty pack or
complete whack I would say that this is
a beauty hack but with strings attached
you are sweating out water wait so it's
not gonna it's not a complete miracle
fix you're not gonna suddenly lose a
tremendous amount of weight overnight
that's not how your body works if you
want to really lose weight you need to
workout you need to watch what you eat
but for what this is a DIY body wrap I
would not buy rocks from somebody trying
to spell me raps
I think that's complete bogus gimmick if
you guys have any suggestions on what
