hey folks today we are going to talk
silence what is silage well the long and
short of it silage is fermented grass
and chaff you could either just do all
grass or you can use all chaff or you
can mix them together however you want
to do it but the end result and I'm
gonna show you how to make it how to
load it and why on earth would you want
to do this we did the biofuel boom video
but I felt like I only showed you one
method of collecting I didn't really
give you a whole lot of information we
also did the Crone big x video which
showed you how the Crone works but I
never really went into detail on how you
make silage and how you make money this
is really the best way to make money in
this game now there are those of you out
there that would argue and I know I've
talked to some people online one guy was
a purist and he's like oh no that's
cheating and I don't do that because
it's not it's not it's cheating and it
makes - but the bottom line is this is
what is happening in Europe okay
they have biofuel plants and farmers in
Europe are harvesting their corn and
they're harvesting their grass and
they're selling it to the local biofuel
plants this is for real and these guys
make way more money doing the biofuel
with their crops than they do actually
using it for food kind of scary because
in some ways we're changing the amount
of food that's available in the world
but that's what's going on in Europe in
fact Corona Corona however you pronounce
it and we say Krone here in the States
but it's Corona in German they have
designed their big x Harvester
specifically for farmers that want to
make silage to bring some biofuel plants
so this is a very real thing that's
happening in Europe so it's not cheating
it is actually what's going on in
agriculture in Europe not here in
America but over there it is so I can
understand from an American perspective
why we would have an aversion to it or
why it would seem like well that's not
realistic but it actually is realistic
it's really what's going on
so what we're looking at here is the
minimum equipment that you need to make
silage you need at least a way to load
the silage into the bins which is going
to be that little loader over there the
new holland $64,000 for the truck maybe
another five to six thousand dollars for
all the equipment that goes with it here
you can see the stock tractor that you
get at the beginning of the game the
agro star made by the deutz-fahr car
deutz-fahr corporation and here we have
the mower and the smallest
Pottenger gyro boss and so what you got
to do this is the cheapest thing you
know how you're gonna do it with this
setup as you're going to mow and this
tractor is probably the minimum that
you're gonna need it 148 horsepower this
tractor is actually rated below what you
need to run both the trailer and the
mower but it will do it so you may find
on hills and stuff you struggle but it
is capable of doing it
a tractor with any less horsepower is
not going to be able to run this
equipment if you try to run it it'll say
there's not enough power that just dies
so here's an example of filling this
part up it's real exciting as you can
see I've planted this field here with
grass so I have plenty of grass to work
with and very slowly but surely I'm
filling this trailer up this is probably
the most unrewarding way to be silent
and you're going to need approximately
five or six full trailer loads of grads
to start the Silence process otherwise
there's not enough to blanket the silos
and you've got to get it pretty full so
we're gonna do one sweep here and then
we will dump this off and I'll show you
how to do that so I'll catch back up
with you once I have a full tank here
come on you forget how tedious this is
it's just it takes forever okay good
enough we'll just pretend we're gonna
pretend this is all the way full cuz I
can't take it anymore there are better
ways to do this then we're gonna get to
those okay so we pull into the bio plant
and we pull up to one of the empty silos
and we dump our grass and so we begin
the process now this is not going to
have enough in it to blank it so go over
all those steps but there's our first
dump now let's pretend like we're done
with everything okay
and we're gonna happen to our little
bucket loader so let's pretend like
everything is finished and I just want
to show you why you need this because it
okay what do we do this other tractor
just sat there no this actually does
have a point this once we're done making
the silage and I showed you the
beginning of the video the brown stuff
which is you can see here the stuff I
just dumped is very green the stuff that
we're gonna be finishing up with is
going to be very brown there's the brown
stuff so you gonna scoop pick this up
and this is really tedious now there are
several vehicles that you can use to do
this you don't have to use this little
tractor there's and I'll show you those
in a second here and then dump this in
here
voila watch the money oh look at that I
just made $4,000 that's a four thousand
dollar scoop yep
this is uneasy mode so it's less money
on normal and hard modes but it's still
a lot of money in fact I would
guesstimate that this silo right here in
front of me probably has about a million
- worth of silage in there maybe more
and if there's a sale or something it's
gonna go even higher than that and that
would be a normal mode and on this mode
that's prob about three million dollars
worth of silage so anyway so that's one
method you can also use your telehandler
with this huge bucket this bucket has
the bucket that we were you just using
has 1800 capacity this is a 4500
capacity bucket we can also use the
wheel loader which has a 6400 capacity
bucket and then as you know and I don't
know if I still have these or not
because I don't really use them but I
think I do know I think I got rid of
them because I I use the tell the the
other method and I'll show you that
later but anyway those are the two big
loaders there's there are there's 10,000
size buckets that you can get out there
to hold 10,000 a scoop that's about
$40,000 per scoop but it's still tedious
because you have to drive back and forth
but that is the reason why on the
cheapest way possible to do this you
need this little tractor with the bucket
because you have to be able to scoop the
silage into those buckets okay
there's other ways to do it and we'll go
over that but that's that's at base this
plus that agro liner or the agro star
you need to have all of this equipment
to do what we
so in order for you to make money with
the cyllage you got to have the mower
this tractor that trailer and then our
little guy over here so that is a small
scale available right here we'll go up
to the next scale now you've seen this
on my biofuel video but we're gonna show
you a couple different things and you've
also seen it in some of my other videos
I have other mowers that do a better job
than this little mower setup this is a
very long process to mow to get this
stuff so let's go to phase 2 here is
phase 2 now you'll need to have a
cultivator and your cedar that does corn
the little cedar to do this you also
need this tractor the pottinger
attachment this attachment that we're
looking at is not under attachments it's
actually under harvesters so if we go
into our harvester page this is not a
mod this came with the game you can see
here we have the ones that you start the
game with and if you go up here right
next to the Krone you have this
Pottinger know our Pottenger or whatever
I don't know why they didn't put it
under headers because it really is a
header and it's akin to oh this this mod
header right there so I don't know why
it's not under headers but it's not but
there it is so you go under harvesters
and you have this this is the second
cheapest way to do this now the reason
why I have the blue tractor the hub the
T 160 or the t6 160 from New Holland is
because this tractor is more of an
all-in-one solution I no longer have to
have two tractors in other words if
you're running a hard farm and you want
to get into silage you could sell
everything you had on the farm you could
sell your harvester you could sell
everything but the cultivator and the
cedar you then buy one of these you buy
a set of arms with a bucket and a weight
and then you buy a trailer a tipper like
you have here and this header now you
are completely set up with one tractor
to do everything you need to do to do
silage so I call this the one tractor
setup and I think that even though it's
the least expensive route it would be
the most efficient route though this is
gonna suck now this header has to have
corn the only thing the patent Greer
header is going to cut our patent jury
or whatever is going to be corn so you
have to have you have to grow corn and
we're gonna start this guy up let's see
here
No
so our little cutter enhancement is
working and we got our this is a if you
haven't noticed on farming simulators
website they have a couple free DLCs
available this trailer is from that DLC
so it's pretty cool I would download
them they're free they've got a couple
new they've got a new cultivator they've
got a couple new Cedars I think it's two
new cultivators and then they've got a
couple of trailers and they're free so
make sure you go to the website now
modem so here we go so now we're making
silage
unfortunately when you're doing this you
cannot hire a worker so it's going to
take you quite a while but you can see
how quickly I'm filling up with my
silage this is really a long way to do
it
we'll fill up once and I'll catch up
with you I don't know about you but it
feels to me like the mowing goes well no
this is a this goes about the same speed
as the mowing so once again this is not
super efficient but if you're looking
for if you're on a hard farm and you're
looking for a way to get into silage
without having to have a whole bunch of
equipment this is one of the ways to do
it
and once again you only have to have one
tractor so you can't afford it I think I
did this last night to test it out I
sold everything that the farm had I
started a new farm I got the first crop
and after selling everything and buying
this equipment plus the bucket loader
and actually some conveyors and we're
gonna go over that in a little bit the
conveyor belts it ended up costing me I
think I had $40,000 leftover at 45 maybe
yeah oh and I also bought a bigger
cultivator so yeah this is like
it's working okay it's pretty narrow so
you're not getting a whole lot of yield
from this catch up with the enemy now as
you're doing this I want you to keep in
mind patience is key because after you
fill up a silo maybe twelve or thirteen
percent and you can blanket it and sell
the silage when it comes due you're
gonna have enough money to buy the next
piece of equipment that we're gonna go
over so keep in mind I just want you to
be patient I know this seems like it
takes forever and I know I'm feeling
like that right now like oh my gosh this
is just gonna take forever you can do
this little bit of corn I'm gonna be
doing this forever keep in mind that the
amount of money you're gonna make you're
only going to have to do it this way
once after you're done doing it this way
once you're going to go full-bore and
you're going to be able to afford a
larger forager and your life is going to
get a lot simpler very quickly
back in a minute all right so we've
completed our corn get 100% full here
and we're gonna lift the pot and girl
we're gonna drive this tractor on down
we got a nice full trailer full of that
nice green silage or I guess this is
chaff at this point so once again an
explanation of what chaff is when you
have a seed the seed has a shower
grass wheat barley canola corn they all
have shells or husks and that's all
considered chaff so what this machine
does for the corn is it rips everything
it basically chews everything up and
gives you the husk and the husk and will
ferment and it becomes silent so you
lose the fruit you don't get your yield
but you you get this silage and this is
more important you're gonna make more
money with this anyway so if you don't
believe me it's going on in Europe go
look it up on the web you'll see lots of
especially you look up the Crone a lot
of people are chopping up their stuff
and just using it for fuel so once again
we're looking at the shells the husks
all that good stuff and look at dumps
right in with the grass no problem no
worries
so we're just filling our little buckets
up here and I think a couple couple
trailer loads like this and we should be
ready to to go through that the cover
but we're gonna do that last so I'm
gonna dump this guy off here and we're
gonna look at another method once again
this is dealing with porn but there's
more there's still more coming so this
is gonna step outside of the game a
little bit we're gonna get a mind
alright so the mob that we're looking
for is the John Deere Kemper it's got a
Kemper header and a John Deere I think
it's a 70 180 forger and we're gonna I'm
gonna go grab that from the shop and
we're gonna bring it down here and I'm
gonna show you how to work that guy it's
basically a miniature chrome big axe so
we go into the store and we go to our
mods and we're gonna go to the
harvesters and here we have this and you
can see compared to the Crone big axe
which is four hundred and fifteen
thousand dollars the John Deere 7180
forager is much less expensive now this
is not really a review of this product
but you also have to buy the header so
made by Kemper this is the header right
here it's thirty thousand so for about
two hundred and fifty thousand dollars
you can get a Kemper now are a forager
now the issue is that this forager it's
pretty narrow so as you can see here I
mean it's a big device but as we open
the header up it's a whopping like six
feet wide
9 feet so it leaves a little bit to be
desired and from a model standpoint this
thing looks really low res
they did a great job this is what the
this is what the 7180 actually looks
like in real life but it's kind of
goofy-looking on the game it really
looks plastic you look at the there's no
reflection on the wheels
it doesn't look metal it looks like it's
it looks like a toy and that's you know
hopefully the author will continue to
work on this and make it better
even so though I noticed that this was a
lot of mods there's some slowdown
they're poison now just like the
Pottinger attachment or Pottinger
attachment this only does porn this
device cannot be wheat it can't grasp I
can't do canola you have to have the
chrome big axe the 11-hundred
to do all of those different materials
if you haven't watched my video about
the Crone bigots you want to know more
about it please take a look on the
tutorials on my tutorials playlist there
are two videos dealing with the chrome -
gekks and all the different things that
they can do it's quite a versatile
machine whereas this is a little more
one-sided only based on so there's two
ways to run any of these foragers the
first way is to hire a worker and to run
out handling is an issue is to run a and
to run a trailer alongside of it
so we're gonna hire a worker here this
game but you can see this is at least
three or twice as wide as the as the the
pod Pottinger header that does the same
thing so you're gonna go a lot faster
now than you would with that so
impatience is gone now we can do this
fast guys hired we're gonna happen this
tractor and unfortunately anytime that
you do any kind of silage foraging
you're going to have to be involved it
can't just a lot of workers go off and
do it they won't do it so here's method
number one we're gonna fill the 50% and
we're going to stop so just drive along
here and I don't have my cruise control
set to six miles an hour so this is
gonna become an issue hold on eager he
drives as far as he could shoot
all right screwed up and I'm gonna put
the cruise control on and now see how
much faster this thing's filling up it's
like well it should be twice as fast as
we're cutting down twice as much corn so
Marty at 21%
so once you've done it once with that
little guy the next time through you
could do it with this bigger guy and
make more money and then you can do this
for a couple times and then you'll have
enough money to buy the Crone big axe
which is kind of like your ultimate goal
as the chrome big X is the most is the
largest header it has a nine-foot corn
header and are 12 feet maybe I will look
in it but that makes a big difference
because then you're cutting down stuff
fast but this is a good intermediate the
the John Deere 70 180 is a good
intermediary tool to do this 50 percent
already so we're gonna take a break back
off and show you the other way to run
this guy hope you still shootin
you do this thing out of the way
since you since you can't run it on a
tendon I think doing it this way it's
cleaner of what I just showed you
because I'm not running it if when I'm
running it a lot of times I miss corn or
I don't pay attention and you lose some
stuff or you leave corn behind the
worker doesn't a much better job of
keeping things straight
whoops so you can hook up to two
trailers behind this okay
these mod trailers that I downloaded the
freebie ones you can use those you can
used up to the the TM the bull trailers
the gray ones only
maybe not though maybe it's just the
aggravator so now we're gonna go here
turn this guy on
so now I'm having to drive the worker
the worker will not do this so you have
to do
either way you end up driving the
trailers however if you can hook two
trailers up to this that might be faster
than having to pull the tractor but I
find especially when doing multiplayer
it's easier just to hire a worker and
then have a couple guys running trailers
alongside that way when this gets full I
don't have to run this tractor over to
the forging or to the dump to dump it
off I can just run the tractor over a
while one of my team
friends is continuing to load the next
trailer so that way we just keep the
whole thing
so we're gonna fill this guy up and then
we're gonna dump it off and then we're
one thing you have to be careful as you
can see my trailer is full but yet I'm
still cutting so you can actually if
you're not paying attention use up an
entire crop and not gain any extra right
now I'm just wasting this is not going
anywhere so you have to make sure you're
very careful with that and that you
watch what you're doing because you'll
end up cutting the whole field down
before you realize that that's what I
wanted gotta find the right tractor and
let's go dump that off
so we say so long to this portion of
thrill
goodbye toy camera
yeah that little forager is pretty cool
and that is a mod it is available to
different live sites I will probably
hosted on my site once I get the site up
and running I need to get permission
from the author but yeah that's the yeah
that's a nice mod needs a little work
but it's coming along nicely alright so
here we are ready to dump off the next
trailer load and here we're gonna like
take a look I'm only four percent full
on this bunker so I don't think I'm
gonna be able to we got quite a ways to
go before we are able to blanket this I
figured like I said I think it has to be
twelve percent
so see how there's no on the upper
left-hand corner a little R will appear
to say press R to blanket the silo well
we can't blanket it yet because there's
just not enough stuff oh no wait and
close cover oh no oh this has a cover
look at that did not know that
very nice
okay so we're gonna Park this over here
and let's go to our next method this
next method is probably the most
labor-intensive though it will yield a
lot of silage it takes way more work
than sports and if you watched my my
video dealing with the biofuel boom this
is the way I was doing it in that video
you're using a big tractor it's got to
be at least 320 horsepower so the new
the big the the new holland 320
horsepower tractor is the smallest one
that you can use to do it and the reason
why is because that tractor has the
ability to pull or run off the back
mowers and the front mower now you could
just run the back mowers and be okay
with it
but if you do all three mowers you get a
lot more grass and it's easier if you
only have to run up and
let's go ahead and get hooked up and
then I will show you how to do this this
is the messy method and I don't really
like doing it this way this is how I
used to do it but it's it's just a pain
so once again minimum requirements 320
horsepower tractor because you're gonna
have to run all the mowers at once
and only the bigger tractors the real
big minutes can do that and the really
big ones you got to watch the quad track
and the largest New Holland don't have
front miles so you can't do it on those
either so it has to be either this myth
the 400 horsepower case the 320
horsepower new holland or the 400
horsepower in holland got a really watch
you got to make sure that they have
those attachments on the fan so first
you mow then you row then you pick up i
want to do just one row and we're gonna
we're gonna wind row it and then we'll
do a pickup trailer so this is a very
like I said very labor-intensive now
you'll get a decent amount of grass
because obviously I'm cutting you know
this field and like I said if you watch
my other video you'll see if you watch
the biofuel boom you'll see me doing
this method and it takes a long time
because you got
the field so you get down to the end you
do a little turn
it's so exciting all right so I'll pick
you up on the rowing end now the nice
thing about this method is that you can
plant a field with grass
you never have to see it or fertilize it
again once you've planted a field of
grass and this was I think filled 19
yeah 19 I never have to see this or
replant the grass it just always is
grass so then every morning it
regenerates so there's no money that has
to be sunk into a grass field that's one
of the benefits of doing it this way
there's no harvesting there's no you
just mow it put it in the silage bin and
then come back the next day and do it
all over again but it's labor-intensive
so seems like that's the way this game
works the more Labor there is involved
in more money you make
but there's trade-offs you know it's
like you might save a little time not
harvest but you're gonna have to have a
heck of a lot of equipment and a hack a
lot of them work to do it that way all
right so there's that perfect
pardon me see you in a moment so now
we're Oh
makes a lot easier to pick off people
that having to go back five times but
once as we talked about before obviously
this is a second and three steps to get
the stuff and that's pretty inefficient
and so as all good things must come to
an end so my started rowing
finished
yeah we'll just leave this thing here
good enough
I mean this is one big freaking
collection trailer this is the largest
they make the terrible tests by Troutman
terribly tests will be quick earth
French
so I don't straat Minh sounds like a
German name
straussman yeah
here we are we are going to pick up all
the grass that we mold with us not
mature yet test
[Music]
this thing is like pretty cool and stuff
but yeah we're not gonna fill it up all
the way for sure with that one row of
grants whoa
I would see this tractors a little if
even though it's a big tractor it's a
little under sized for this pickup
trailer
now 2% full I'm gonna say I'm gonna
guess them after so two rows of mowing
are gonna be the equivalent of and this
huge trailer about probably I'm gonna
guess to me 30 to 40% when we're done
maybe more
Troutman
oh by the way Merry Christmas guys it's
Christmas Eve right now and I'm making
this video I don't know if I'll have it
posted like Christmas morning or if it's
gonna be tonight but I just wanted to
wish you all Merry Christmas and
appropriately our tractor is red and
green to match the Christmas colors I
wonder if the firming Simmons the giants
are gonna give us into Christmas
presents though I think maybe that that
free DLC stuff was Christmas presents
for us and there you go 43% and I left
something so actually not a bad take on
there so take about five rows of mowing
to make well it took two passes of
mowing to make twenty one thousand a 20
mm I guess kilos of grass so for now
we're gonna leave this guy here because
we have another mod that we're gonna
look at under the mods section we have
another under grass mowing I don't know
how that well this is gonna work oh no
wait no that's not it we'll look at that
too but it's a harvester there we go we
have the Crone Big M and I don't know if
there's a newer version this is version
101 very expensive device and I've never
run this before so we're gonna have a
little learning experience
let's go up to know our place of sales
believe it or not guys this is for real
I want YouTube they actually make a big
em it is quite the mowing machine so
we're gonna I'm gonna drive this down to
woo it handles just like all the others
now of course it'll only mow grass I'm
gonna drive it down and see what we have
now it looks like to me and this is what
I'm excited about okay
this device and when I was watching the
demo videos online of the real one this
will actually take all the cutting that
you do and put it into a single row so
you can either have it spread the grass
all over the place and you'd want to do
that if you were going to Ted it so if
you're if you're making silage for cows
and you want to make hay and then pick
it up with a hay baler you would mow
with this first with the unable
wide-spreading they're up at the top
left so it spreads it all over like our
other mower was just doing making a big
mess everywhere but when you want it
when you want to tete the grass when
you're gonna use a Tedder to make hay
you need to have it spread out like that
you don't want it in rows so but this
can also row it so you don't have to
have a wind roller so this is a very
expensive device at 350 four thousand
dollars but I think that that's an
honest price for what this is I think
that that is really what this probably
costs in real life and I think that
that's going to be realistic for the
amount of work it's gonna do so right
now I'm gonna enable the swath deposit
this is gonna be great
and that's exactly what I was hoping for
so we're gonna lower the cutters
look at how cool that thing is and
that's for real like I said once again
this is a this is a real tractor so
that's pretty cool let's see here
alright so we're gonna turn on the mower
turn this on there we go look at that
but
and it's even wider than our triple
blade mower so our our triple lower
lower whatever you want to call the
tractor driven mower with the three
blades so you're making this is a very
efficient way to do grass so you just do
this and then either have a friend run
behind you with a collection wagon or
run a collection wagon after you're done
mowing so I'm gonna finish off this
field and that was a very exciting
that's exactly what I was hoping it
would do and there
it does it just like the real thing and
I would have never known that but that
would have never I downloaded this when
I was like man what do I need because it
just makes a mess and I'm doing the
other one but now that I know that it
does this boy this is going to be a
great way to make silage and it's also
going to be a great way to get hay and
straw so this is a good worthwhile
device now once again you got to be
rolling in dough to pick it up because
obviously it's very expensive but we
probably just made 21,000 kilos of
silage in the time that I've been
talking
that's pretty alright guys so I will
catch you on the other side I just want
to demonstrate this do you understand
what I'm talking about if I press the O
key now it leaves a big swath see all
the grass it leaves behind even if I
close it up it does that pretty nifty so
you can have it either way and you can
Tet you leave a big mess in that edit so
it dries out and then grow it
pick it up or then that's how you would
have to make
or you can do it this way
wow this is I'm excited about this so
let's go ahead and shut this down and
are
a collection wagon and start picking
this grass up and once I fill this up
we're going off and we'll move on to the
next device there's a couple more we're
gonna look at so like I said there's a
lot of different ways to skin this cat
looks like 10% or 11% the number there
so as you can see now I can actually
blanket this silo well I'm not gonna do
that yet because we have a couple more
things to look at but if you look up in
the upper left hand corner you're gonna
see one of the menu items there is now
that it's compacted a hard percent we'll
go over that a little bit too I can
actually blanket this so at 10% you're
good alright catch up with you in a
minute
one more mod and then we're gonna take a
look at the final way to do this as far
as I'm concerned I mean there might be
other ways there's just so many ways to
do different things so we're gonna go
back to our mowers there we go this guy
we have the Crone big owl 500 Pro this
unfortunately is not based on reality
in fact it's completely fiction this is
the only one that I have and I don't use
this much anymore when I first was
playing the game I used it a lot and I
felt like I was cheating because of what
it does
but then after using the real Crow and
I'm like wow this thing actually kind of
sucks so this is a mod made by somebody
and basically what you have is you have
a mower a Crone mower with a matching
collection trailer so what you do and
I'm not gonna fill this up all the way
because this just takes forever it's so
slow in your mouth but it's affordable
oops at-at $153,000 I actually think
that it's uh
it's a little under priced actually I
feel that this probably could go for 250
to 300 thousand and that would be more
realistic to what it would cost to buy
one of these in real life if it was real
because obviously all the other Crone
equipments $300,000 above and it makes
because of the silage thing it makes way
too much money for what it does this
collects more grass than any other mower
that I have and it collects it fast
watch the numbers go up a minority 2%
full and this is 80,000 kilograms so
it's not this is larger than that other
collection trailer that I just was
running a huge one is also 80,000 so now
it's the same size physically so it
makes sense but this is just ridiculous
how fast this thing fills up now I was
looking at magnitude as you can see one
of the downsides for this mower is that
it's slow as all get-out but it's well
done I think the author did a good job
trying to capture that feeling of what
the Crone the device is feel like it's a
pretty decent looking model I mean
compared to eat like the John Deere for
example you know it's a little low res
but it's not bad and he keeps he has
been updating it this is version 1 point
8
I believe and I think there's a 1.9
ounce so I'm gonna have to update but
this the author of this device keeps
updating so he is working on it making
it definitely is way better than the
original
you see here we're about 12% full but
this is this carries a lot of stuff so
this is another way to do it then all
you do is drive this down to your bin
and dump it off like the trailers so
yeah there's a here's a cheap way to do
it like I said it's a mine you got to
download it so let's go back to in game
stuff all right so let's take a look at
the Kron big X this is we're gonna run
it prototypically first okay this would
be a product typical set up there is so
much to the Kron big X 1100 that I have
made a video just surrounding this
vehicle because it does corn like we're
gonna do but it also does so much more
so I want you to go once we're done once
you're done watching this video I want
you to go watch that chrome big X video
because it's gonna give you a lot more
information about what this is and what
it does it has three different heads
those headers all do very different
things right now we have the corn header
on but they have a collection header and
they also have a wheat barley canola
grass Center so it makes this this is
probably the most versatile piece of
equipment in this game so the first
thing we're gonna do is we're gonna run
it gonna get higher worker hoops on a
higher worker and we're gonna run this
prototypically so in real life you would
see this tractor or this combine or
Forge or whatever you call it and you're
gonna pair it up with a tractor and
ideally the game actually has under
tippers it has this Bergman and the
Bergman or if you want to download pay
nine bucks and download that ITC runner
that also includes a Bergman collection
tray and that collection trailer or
tipper is designed specifically for
gathering chaff
so this Birdman is exactly what you want
to collect chaff with the Chrome
this is what farmers really would most
likely be using now they can use any
trailer they want but this is actually a
chaff trailer so like I said a million
times
this is prototypical right here now of
course the quad track might not be but
you do need a big tractor for this
trailer so then you're just gonna run
alongside and he's gonna do his thing
now you cannot hook the birdmann up to
the prom see how it's got a power
take-off there that yellow tube that
draws power from our tractor and the
chrome does not have that so let's hop
over we're gonna do the other way so let
me go grab the other trailers and I'll
be right back somebody taught me an
ancient Chinese secret I'm gonna share
this with you if you have a tractor like
this that will not pick up some of these
lower
Advisors turn the other way
the because the hook-up it's too low for
this track pick it up what you do is you
just grab a little weight now that puts
the hitch down blowing off and you can
actually grab this trailer and approach
at the command
so now see that now I can hook up to
this trailer
but I couldn't do it without that
waiting so
if you these larger tractors I used to
whine about I'd be like oh man you can't
hook you know anything from the the 320
horsepower New Holland and up could not
hook to these trailers these Fleagle are
the biggest the bull I think it's 266
bolt these are the biggest trailers that
you've been hooked to the chrome that
will use it you can only do two but you
can fill out both of them it'll fill one
up and then it rolls to the other one so
this is a non prototypical this is non
prototypical you would never I don't
think in real life ever operated
what
for game purposes
it's tracked
away and we're gonna happen to the crow
over a fire the worker now once again
when pulling trailers you cannot hire a
worker in the Chrome there we go and I'm
gonna start her up
put her and drive
so you have to drive it
but this is going to collect a time
silence this is your most efficient way
to flex languages doing corn with the
chrome the chrome just tears it up you
get a lot of
and we're just gonna do one row I would
say this is probably gonna fill up both
trailers to 70%
so right now we're ten percent full
considering both trailers
[Music]
so I'll catch up on the other end
I gotta say is what is up with that horn
must be European
in America would be like wah scare the
bejesus out of you when the guy
hit the horn
[Music]
all right so we are bringing in our last
load here 82% I was pretty close I guess
75 so it's pretty close guess if it had
been a full run without doing the other
bergman trailer it actually would have
filled these up on a percent but we are
bringing in know maybe 60,000 kilos and
these two trailers so that's pretty good
take home for one run down the field I
mean this is just gonna make right now
we're talking at about we're a little
bit over a million dollars maybe a
little bit more in silage right there so
let's go ahead and finish this process
up so you can see how it's done
now as I'm on the silage you can see
here see that compacting number if
that's not a hundred percent you can't
blanket it how you compact the silage as
you run back and forth over it and of
course the more trailers the more and
now you can see with these trailers I
went right to 100% very easily if you
don't have this many trailers on it
takes longer but there you go so it's
compacted a Harper Senate now you can
see our blanket silo
so let's drive off in real life you
wouldn't blanket silo you wouldn't blink
at the silo with the tractor sitting on
it so let's let's do a little prototype
here Boop and voila we now have silage
fermenting in about 12 hours so about
nine o'clock tonight this will be done
and we can unload it so let's go over
and look at unloading I did show you at
the beginning of the video one of the
ways to unload is to use the tractor
that's missing okay here he is
so we're gonna do one more scoop so you
can see that again so you come to your
finish silo you scoop this up
I always drive with your bucket down
I learned that the hard way tipping this
thing over
honey we're not leaving for hours
okay
Oh stuck one of the nice things they did
it with the new patch is that this this
shovel goes a lot higher than it used to
Seth is eating a Reese's Peanut Butter
Cup and saying how long he found him
I don't think they can hear you all
right so you all a little bit now the
next method requires a mod and you can
see here I have two of these here this
is a conveyor belt mod that hooks to
either a telehandler or a tractor and
they have one for each because they're a
little bit different I have the tractor
one here and the interesting thing about
this is that it does not need to have
the tractor attached to work which is
excellent so I buy two of them you're
looking at about twelve thousand dollars
you're still gonna need a front end
loader so I've once again in this case
chosen the little guy because he's the
cheapest she's the cutest - Seth said
and then this fleegle bowl seems to be
just about way too much size for this
poor little tractor so I wouldn't go any
larger than this if you're using the
little new Helen but you can get the
biggest tipper if you want to buy the
one that holds sixty thousand units the
what's the name of it the kipper or
whatever it's called the giant red
tipper you can get that one if you want
or you can get this one or whatever one
you want they all work but they're just
it's harder to pull it around but you're
gonna get a lot per scoop so you can
have one on the tractor and one sitting
there what you're gonna do is this very
simple
come over here so instead of shoveling
it with a telehandler or like we just
saw with the bucket taking forever
come over here with this thing it's like
cheating but it's not they really have
these in effect in America I've noticed
as I go to different farms these tractor
carried conveyor belts are everywhere
they're all over the place every farm
that I've been to has at least two or
three of them and they also have auger
tubes
yes Merry Christmas Eve everybody
and a happy new Christmas Merry
Christmas that is of course Seth as you
guys know calm super soupy
give it all away tell everybody your
name
no the kid another password and you
can't meet them either okay so uh huh as
you can see here this is really really
struggling to move this trailer I can
hardly turn it all now if I put my arm
down that might help a little bit let's
see that put some weight on his front
wheels
so you might even have to get your Agri
liner and move that you know have this
tractor loaded but then AG rely on it
but it does it and we use a smaller
trailer I mean that's your other option
okay so here we go so you back up until
you see those little flaps come up you
see those flaps go up watch it again I
want to back up whoo there's the flaps
and then watch down in the bottom
right-hand corner by your speedometer
there or not the speedometer but your
cruise control you'll see the dump
trailer sitting up here there we go
now this is a 30,000 capacity trailer
those Fleagle buckets only hold twenty
thousand each so or twenty thousand
together so the problem is you're gonna
unload it and it's gonna have more in it
than it'll be able to get done so you
have to speed up time for this trailer
I'd say thirty is probably safe and then
I go ahead and dump it watch the money
flow in look at that money look at money
money money money money money money
money money now once again this is on
easy mode but even on hard mode it's a
lot of flip of money I mean this is
there's so much it's gonna save your
farm and then you can buy whatever
equipment you need so you do this you
know my goal usually when I start a hard
game is to do what I've done with that
remember I showed you the the New
Holland tractor I buy that I buy that
little one I do my first load of silage
I buy bigger silage equipment I then
move into saving up money I get up a
million two million dollars and then I
go back and I reinvest in regular
farming equipment and I go back to
regular farming along with doing the
silage so I have money coming in from
all of those places so anyway that's it
don't forget the slow time back down
when you're done I wish you guys all a
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and
thank you for watching this tutorial I
hope that it was helpful for you but
this is really where the money is at you
know I mean this is how I made all my
money for my farm so and spend it all
you say I went about a million and a
half dollars
hey so yeah on virtual farm not my real
farm all right guys have a great night
Merry Christmas be sure to subscribe
