and as I'm sure you've read in the title
in this video we're gonna go over how
you can use Instagram influencers to
promote your shop fight drop shipping
products or website and make a ton of
money doing so and if you stick around
to the end of the video we're actually
gonna go over how you can do all of this
for free how you can get people on
Instagram to post your advertisements on
their pages with zero upfront costs so

and without further ado let's get into
this video if you're completely new to
e-commerce and drop shipping and all
this stuff you might not know what
influencer marketing actually is so in a
nutshell influencer marketing is where
instead of paying Facebook directly to
show you know your advertisements to
different people you pay the people on
Instagram to post your advertisement on
their page and then their followers can
see your advertisement so the reason why
influencer marketing is such a good idea
and why people love using it more than
just paying facebook to post random ads
is that people are very inclined to buy
things when a person they follow
recommends it to them and on top of that
it's usually a lot more cost effective
to pay Instagram influencers than it is
to pay for Facebook ads and with
Instagram influencers you can get a
really good return on your investment
when you pay someone to post something
on their Instagram page you always have
the potential of that post going viral
and that's the reason why I love
influencer marketing so much when you
pay someone suppose something on their
page you're not just paying for their
followers to see it you're also paying
for the ability for that post to go
viral get on the explore page and a
bunch of random people can see it so you
get a lot of bang for your buck it's
very possible for you to drop like 50
dollars on an Instagram shout-out and
get thousands of dollars worth of orders
from that shoutout whereas with Facebook
that's not something that can really
happen
that being said influencer marketing
does have some drawbacks you can't
really scale with it as wide as you can
with Facebook and it's a lot more
difficult than time-intensive to
actually scale influencer marketing
advertisements but that's not that big
of an obstacle so let's just jump
straight into it
go over how you can set up these
Instagram influence or advertisements so
let's say your job shipping men's
watches not really a good niche to get
into in 2019 but let's just use it for
the purpose of this video so you'd begin
by thinking about what kind of page
would have an audience that would want
to buy men's watches there's probably
not many pages specifically designed for
men's watches but there might be some
men's fashion pages so that's what you
do you'd go on Instagram and you search
up men's fashion and right away you see
a bunch of men's fashion theme pages and
before we get into how you can use
actual people and you know personal
brands to advertise your different
Shopify products let's get into how you
can use a theme page and all of these
results here would be considered themed
pages so let's click on the first one
this one has 1.9 million followers if
you're just starting out maybe that's a
little out of your price range but what
you can do is go on this little arrow
next to the follow button and you can
see a bunch more of similar pages
so you'd scroll through these
suggestions and try to find a good page
maybe you click on this one 200,000
followers maybe that's a little more in
your price range you then would scroll a
little further down and check the
engagement that this page is getting see
how many likes are getting so 2,000
likes we're talking 900 2.5 so I mean
this pages engagement isn't great but
let's say you decide that you want to go
with it so all you would have to do to
get your posts on this page is just send
them a quick message and say something
very simple something like advertisement
rate question mark and the reason you
want to write out something super short
like this is that these pages get a lot
of DMS and on the person who owns it or
runs it is scrolling through the DMS
they can only see a little preview of
what people write to them I don't there
swung through the messages and they see
someone wrote advertisement rates
they're much more likely to click on it
and respond to you since they know you
want to pay them money so once you
finish doing that you just kind of
repeat the process find some more pages
that you'd want to advertise on and
eventually they'll start getting back to
you and once they do they might say
something like I charge $50 for 24 hours
with the Lincoln bio and you can either
accept
price or you might hit them and be like
yo I can do 40 and once you guys agree
on the price you're gonna want to send
them the payment through PayPal the
reason why you only want to use PayPal
is that they have an option that's
called PayPal goods and services and
when you send money through that option
if the person doesn't go through and
post your what you want them to post you
can actually tell PayPal and PayPal will
take them on your back and give it to
you and if the person asks you to pay
them with some sort of other form of
payment I really wouldn't recommend you
guys do that just because that's
probably a scam most theme pages it's
kind of like the unspoken rule that you
use PayPal oh and by the way when they
reply to you they'll probably give you a
list of prices they'll say I charge this
much for two hours this much for twelve
this much for 24 this much for permanent
and I really only recommend that you
guys go with a 24 hour option or the
permanent post this way not only will
their followers see it but 24 hours is
enough time for the post to start
getting on the explore page you can kind
of tell if it's gonna go viral or not
and if you see that it's getting a ton
of views you can actually pay them some
more money to keep the post up and you
know make some more money that way so
that's how you'd get an Instagram theme
paid shout out if you want to use an
actual influencer it's a little bit
different and the way you would go about
finding these influencers is that you'd
go back on the theme page scroll through
it and try to find the people that
they're repost so let's say you scroll
through this page you go on this guy
right here you check who he is okay he
has 200,000 followers he's posting men's
fashion content that's what you want to
target so same exact thing you'd hit him
up in the DMS but this time you're gonna
want to be more professional you with
when you're working with actual people
and not theme pages you kind of want to
give a little bit more thought on how
you phrase and word your DM messages to
them seeing actual influencers and
actual people rather than theme pages is
a much more advanced form of influencer
marketing and there's more steps to it
most of the time you're actually gonna
have to send them your product so that
they can create some sort of piece of
content with it you know make a little
review they're not just gonna post the
greasy low-quality ad to all of their
followers it's also gonna cost a lot
more using an actual person is a lot
more expensive than a theme page so this
is something I would recommend you doing
you know after you've already found that
you're successful with
advertising through themed pages however
there is a way you can do this without
actually having to send them some
product and that's if you actually
create the content on your own so for
the watch example let's say you just
take a picture of the watch in front of
a cool steering wheel or you know you
take a picture of it from the side with
a nice suit so that you can't see the
person's face and if you ends up being
very high-quality and you edit it in a
way that matches the person's feed then
they probably wouldn't mind just posting
the picture so that's how influencer
marketing works and you've probably
noticed that in order for this to work
you have to pay them upfront a certain
amount of money and you don't know if
you'll make enough from that post to
actually get that money back so it's
sort of a Ritz and that's where that
little strategy I talked about earlier
in the video comes in where you don't
pay them upfront so the way this works
is that you would contact these people
and tell them that you'll give them a
percentage of the profit that you make
from their shadow this way you only pay
them if their shout-out actually works
and if people actually buy the product
from their shout out so this is a really
good way to test out new products since
if you don't know this product is gonna
work you can just do this sort of deal
and you know you wouldn't lose any money
if it doesn't and there's a few ways
that you can find out whether a purchase
was the result of someone's shout-out or
someone else's shout out or a different
form of marketing that you're doing the
best way to do this would be to create a
custom link that tracks how many
purchases were made through that link
and then put that link in the person's
bio I'm not gonna have time in this
video to explain how you can actually do
that so just search it up on YouTube but
the second option would be to give them
a discount code which is very easy to do
through Shopify and you can see how many
people use that discount code and the
last way the most unreliable way if
you're a complete beginner and you don't
want to mess with those other things you
can just run one influencer shout-out at
a time so that way you know that any
sales you could have possibly gotten had
to have come from that person and so
when the promotion is over you check how
many sales came from that shoutout
you'd give them their cut and if you
didn't make any sales well that sucks
for both of you and also please don't be
a scumbag and not give the influencers
their part of the profit and just tell
them that you didn't make any sales
horrible thing to do and on top of that
the person probably will never work with
you again so just don't do that
please and this strategy is really only
good for when you want to test the new
product or you already have a product
but it's not selling very well and the
advertisement is very effective so every
time you're paying influencers you're
kind of risking things and if you don't
want to risk it this can be an option
like I previously said with influencer
marketing a $50 shout out can at times
get you a couple thousand dollars worth
of orders so getting that free traffic
sent to your store is not always a good
idea if you have to split a couple
thousand dollars worth of profit with an
influencer in that case I mean obviously
just paying the $50 or whatever they
want
initially this type of deal usually only
works with people who have a small
amount of followers usually less than a
hundred thousand just because those
types of people don't have a lot of
upfront offers so they'll be willing to
do one of these kind of deals anyways
