hi everyone it's Jen with Jensen beauty
comm I have so many people asked about
how I approach salons and boutiques what
I say would I bring so I thought I'd
just do a quick video and tell you a
little bit about that so my purpose in
doing this is for recruiting and for
sales and it works awesome so first of
all I'll just show you what I bring and
then I will tell you kind of my little
spiel so I literally just bring all of
this stuff in my purse I have a large
purse and I just stick it in there okay
I bring my colors I only bring a small
handful of colors I bring the
best-selling colors the top colors I try
to get one or two of every shade so they
can kind of see we have quite a variety
so bring my colors I always always bring
a beauty book and I have my information
on the beauty book I always bring a
business card to make sure I leave that
as well
this is just a book that I have made it
just has the different lips of colors so
just so they can see what colors we have
I will leave them with an organza bag
which is filled with the application
card how to put it on this is tips and
tricks we've got with them I also leave
Wands for them to test I leave cotton
balls for them to clean their lips with
the witch hazel which I just leave in a
little thing like this so super simple
and then I would do one or the other if
I have glossy gloss samples I'll leave
them with the glossy gloss samples if
not I leave them just with a tube of
gloss and then I give them extra
application texture one might have a
extra one stop sometimes they because
we'll be using it for the gloss as well
so that's what I bring super easy and
simple so um I dress professionally I
try to look nice and make sure my hair
is down and then make my makeup is done
and I look professional I walk in I
smile I agree divorced now the front
desk I say hi my name is Jen's Ben and
with sentiments international I would
love to speak with the owner or the
manager are they in so there's a couple
scenarios one they're not in I find out
when they're going to be in and then I
come back and try to meet with them
because you really do want to meet with
the manager or the owner
another scenario is that's them talking
right then which is great or the
scenario that most often happens is
they're in the background they're doing
someone's hairs are doing someone's
nails but they usually overhear the
conversation so we'll just say it's that
scenario so I walk in I introduce myself
I say who I'm with the owner of the
manager is standing the back will say
she's doing somebody's hair she was like
oh hey I'm the owner
I'll walk up I'll introduce myself to
her and I'll just say I know you're
super busy I would love to just steal
five minutes of your time about super
best I have something amazing to tell
you so usually at that point they're
intrigued because they're like what's
she going to tell me and almost always
though it Oh awesome great I'd love to
hear if I can tell they're busier
they're not interested
I will reschedule at that point I'll say
you know what you're super busy I would
love to come back when is a good time
and then whenever it's convenient for
them I come back most the time those are
like great yeah let's check if they have
somebody in the chair they're doing
someone's nails or hair or whatever it
is I always ask the client I'll say is
that okay you care if I steal her for
just a couple minutes while she's
working on you always 100% of the time
I've never had someone say no they're
always oh yeah I'm on here and so I
start talking so I've already introduced
myself I tell them I'm with signage
internet and Senate Jensen I asked them
have you heard of lip Simms before so if
they say oh yes I have it's awesome or
whatever their responses are like oh my
gosh I'm so glad that you've heard of it
let me tell you a little bit more I show
them the colors and that's one route if
they've heard of it lots of people in my
experience have never heard of it still
it blows my mind it's crazy to me so if
they're like no I've never actually
heard of lip sense oh then I will tell
them I'll give them my little spiel like
okay let me show you I'm wearing it
right now all there was so much test
I'll do a smear test I'll wipe it on my
clothes like it's the most amazing
lipstick ever it's kiss proof it's
smudge proof there's no GMOs there's no
LEDs there's no wax it's actually good
for your lips it does what it's supposed
to do it stays on your lips all the
celebrities are wearing it it is blowing
up and they'll tell them I'll be like go
look it up on YouTube on Facebook on
Pinterest you will find it and you'll
see that this is just booming right now
so I just talk to them a little bit
about what it is
if they are in a place where they can
try it I have them try it on I teach
them I say okay first you want to start
with clean dry lips we go over that I've
got all the stuff there so if they can
while they're there right now maybe
they're in between customers I have them
actually try it on and test it out
I'll show them the colors of the what do
you usually like so you usually wear a
red do you like something bold something
sassy do you like a calm everyday
neutral color what do you like so now
that I've asked them what they like
they'll respond oh I love a neutral
color or I love bright red so I will
have them try it on again I will teach
them what to do and I have them try it
on if they're doing a client's hair or
they're busy or whatever I'm just
quickly explaining what lip senses why
it's so amazing how it works and then I
want to be done I want to cut this I
want to be in and out as fast as
possible I want to give them enough
information that they're intrigued that
they want to know more but I don't want
to give them tons and tons of
information because again they're still
trying to have focus on their client and
the attention is on their time client
but I'm giving them enough information
to get intrigued so then I would tell
them great I know you're busier with
your client I'm going to leave some
stuff with you so that is when I have
the organza bag and I tell them I'm
leaving I'm going to leave a color with
you a color or two what two colors would
you like and then maybe they'll take a
red and pick a new to try to get two
different colors because I also want
them to have everybody else in the salon
try it not everybody's going to want a
bright red or not everybody's going to
want a really neutral color so try to
get two opposite colors so I'll leave
all of the things with them that I
showed you I'll leave the the
instructions I'll leave everything in
there I'll leave them with my tester
colors I've explained to them how to use
it I make sure to get their contact
information and I'll say awesome I'm
going to email you a little video of how
to put it on just in case you forgot or
just for the steps just to make it
easier I'm going to email you a little
video of how to use this and that's what
I want to get their contact information
I make sure to leave my contact
information and I sit awesome I'm going
to be in town if I've gone
away on a recruiting trip I'm going to
be in town for the next two days can I
swing by tomorrow at 3 o'clock does that
work for you then they might say oh
actually I'm here at 3 then I'm done at
five could you come by it by great I'll
be here at 5 I'm so excited you're going
to love it just remember watch the video
follow the instructions and have
everybody test it out I want to see what
what you guys think take some pictures
I'm super excited about this and then
I'll leave I'm in and out I just I got
to the main facts the main points I
don't even talk about becoming the
distributor or anything like that at
that point all I want to do is introduce
them to the product ok these are ladies
that run businesses they're very very
smart they know how to run their
businesses they know a good product most
salons carry a lot more than her
products now a lot of them carry beauty
products and I emphasize that to them I
say peak women people anybody comes in
they come in and they trust you they
recommend they'll take your
recommendation they will do what you say
because they are trusting you they have
so much power I do that with a girl that
does my hair in SA you do whatever you
want I trust her I know she's going to
try to make me look good
she's going to try to make my hair or my
nails or whatever look good so they have
a lot of trust so I just remind them of
that I'm like your clients will will
trust you and they know that you carry
good products so there are a huge
advantage just because of their business
opportunity ok so I left my products
with them I've explained how to use it I
told them that I'm sending an email with
a little video of how to use it and then
then I'm out of there again I'm trying
to keep them captivated and interested
and intrigued so when I come back they
can ask questions but I have found that
almost every single person I have ever
left a tester with they sign up or they
want to put it in their salon it's huge
to let somebody actually try it so if
that is possible do that and that's not
always possible but if you can do that
so that is how I approach salons and
boutiques for my business I hope you
