okay so we have a samsung galaxy s5 here
and I'm going to show you two ways to do
a factory reset okay so the first way
basically you can do within the phone
and let me show you here and don't
forget a factory reset is going to
basically wipe all your data on the
phone all your pictures videos
everything is going to be gone so make
sure you guys do a backup basically move
everything you have from your phone to
an SD card or directly on to your
computer
anyway so the first way basically is
within a computer and we do is we want
to go down to settings so click up here
and now we want to scroll down until we
see user and backup and it's right here
backup and reset simply click on that
and you just read the top here you can
back up your data here backup data
application Wi-Fi passwords and other
things of Google servers for myself what
I do is I do this as well but also what
I do is I backup all my pictures my
videos and things onto my onto my SD
card but this here will backup
application data your Wi-Fi passwords
and other settings to Google servers
and now here's an automatic restore once
you reinstall the particular application
like if you have line or whatsapp or
WeChat what's going to happen is all the
settings and the data will be restored
right back onto there and we simply do
from here is you click on factory data
reset click on that and you reset your
device and it'll go ahead and reboot it
will format the whole your whole phone
it would be just like as you had a brand
new now the other way to do it is
basically your hardware the hardware way
and we had to push a three cut three
keys so let me just press any one do is
powered on your phone and this is good
if you've got your password you can't
get anything like that once it's powered
down you want to hold you want to hold
down three keys you want to hold down
the volume up button the home button and
this power button over here so I'm going
to hold down the up button
hold down the volume up key the home
button and I'm going to hold down the
power button here holding it down once
this logo pops on you can let go the
power and then once the Android guy
comes on you can let go of all the other
buttons now we'll simply wait for the
Recovery Options menu to pop up and we
can see it here now what we want to do
from here we want to go down for line so
where it says wipe data / factory reset
and how you scroll down is you hit the
volume down key so I'm going to go down
right here and to select it you want to
push the power button so I'm going to
push the power button and now we want to
do is go down again all the way down to
delete all user data and then select it
and push the power button again and now
it is wiping data for mating formatting
data and now the data wipe is complete
now we look back on here on top of here
in the menu and it says the first one
says reboot system now it's what we want
to do so push the power button to select
it and now we're going to wait for the
device to boot up now once it boots up
it will be exactly like as you first
purchased the phone right out of the box
so you have to go through all the
beginning process to set up your phone
because any questions or anything just
comment on the bottom thanks bye
