tell you how we sold our house for just
99 pounds

so for all of my regular viewers you
would have seen that we recently
purchased the house but of course before
that we did have
a property to sell the property was
owned by my girlfriend katy who i've
spoken about before
and originally it was being sold via an
estate agent which
i have to admit i was very much against
i've managed to learn how to manage my
rental properties
by using online agents and i knew there
were similar online agents that could
help you sell your property too the
offer katie accepted through the estate
agent ended up falling through
and i thought it was my chance to give
it a go selling it herself obviously i
explained this through with katie but i
explained my three main frustrations
with estate agents
number one of course it was the cost so
depending what katie could sell her
house for
they were going to be charging anywhere
in the region of around three and a half
thousand pounds
for selling her property number two they
were making katie do the viewings
herself
anyway their excuse was no one knows the
property like you do
i do understand this but i also think it
was very convenient that they were able
to stay in their offices
while katie did all the hard work and
the viewings and then finally number
three
when they originally come to value the
house all they actually did
was open rightmove on their laptop and
show katie other comparables in a
similar area
after thinking about these free
frustrations and knowing that there were
online portals that allowed us to list
the property ourself i spoke to katie
and i said please let me have a go
and luckily she agreed this was when i
stumbled across 99 home now i must just
add now there is no paid promotion
99 home don't even know i'm making this
video but i have to sing their praises
their service was fantastic
now the reason you need an online agent
such as 99 home
is that us the general public can't
actually list properties on the online
portal such as rightmove and zoopla
this needs to be done through an agent
now 99 home
acts as that agent for us they had
really fantastic reviews
and the best bit was for their standard
package they charged just 99 pounds
which included listing katie's property
on all of the major portals
including rightmove and zoopla now just
to quickly mention
i have actually just checked the website
recently before making today's video
and i've noticed that right move is now
a 99 pound
upgrade to the 99 package so it's now
going to be 198 but that's still a
fantastic price when you compare to
doing it through an estate agent
so anyway we took the plunge we spent
the 99 pounds and we then come to
listing that property for a 99 home
we've done plenty of research about the
company and we knew just how
straightforward and simple listing the
property would be
it is literally like listing a product
on ebay or facebook marketplace you just
simply fill in the boxes
of the details of your house and as the
estate agent says no one knows the house
better than you
anyway there were no questions that we
struggled to know the answer for and for
photographs we actually just use
iphone pictures i know this seems mad as
i am actually a professional
photographer
but at the time i was living with katie
who was about 45 minutes away from my
office and i didn't have my cameras with
me
now like any service of course it can be
upgraded to include different things
one of the upgrades could actually be
professional photography you can include
a for sale board you can even include to
have accompanied viewings
we decided against all of these upgrades
and we simply just spent the 99 pounds
once you complete your listing on the
online dashboard you then submit it for
approval through 99 home they approved
our listing within about 24 hours
and then in no time at all katie's
property was live on rightmove
zoopla prime location all of the major
portals that you can think of
we then had our online dashboard where
we could manage the sale of the property
everything could be done within that
dashboard so if you wanted to make any
changes to the property
you could do it right away you could
make the changes and again it would just
go in for approval and very quickly
those approvals would be made by 99 home
eventually i did go back to my office
and i went back and got my camera
to take some additional photos we could
then upload those onto the dashboard
and all of our enquiries for viewing
come through into our dashboard
so for any of you that have seen
rightmove before you'll know that next
to a property it will have the estate
agent's name and contact details next to
it
this will happen you will have 99 homes
details to contact
the inquiry then comes through and they
register it into your dashboard and you
get notified that you've got a new
inquiry for viewing
in your own time you can then get in
touch with the person who inquired
to arrange a viewing at a good time that
suits you further to this when we
actually
organize the viewing you can even book
the viewing in on your dashboard and 99
home will even chase up the potential
buyer a few days before to remind them
about the viewing
time and date so i'm sure you can tell
by me making this video we ended up with
very good news
we listed the property for five thousand
pound more than what the estate agent
had it up for
we also saved the three and a half
thousand pound estate agent fee
and we ended up with a full asking price
offer within just a few days we were
inundated with viewing requests and i've
got to be fair to katie that she had a
beautiful home
and it didn't take long to get a full
asking price offer the only thing we had
to do once we got the offer
we had to get the buyers solicitors
details to pass on to ask
lister and we had to give us listers
details to pass on to their solicitors
the only sort of extra legwork that we
had to do after making the sale was any
queries and questions that the buyer had
come directly to us
now to me this wasn't a big deal as to
be honest with you even if they asked
the estate agent those questions
unless the estate agent knew the answer
ultimately all the agents are going to
do is come to us to ask anyway
for a very small amount of extra effort
we managed to save literally thousands
of pounds selling that property ourself
now i'm not necessarily saying go use 99
home i'm sure there's loads more online
estate agents that could offer you a
very good and similar service
all i would say to you is definitely
consider selling your home yourself
especially if you're not in a rush to
make sale i hope today's quick video was
