what is up everyone welcome back to the
channel
today we're going to run through the top
10 most valuable
two pound coins now we're sticking to
standard circulation strikes
so and uk coinage only so no territories
uh no error coins and nothing that was
bunk pack
only or sets only uh just circulation
coinage coins you should be able to find
any change
some of them are a lot harder to find
than others granted but they're all out
there
now let's kick it off with number 10.
number 10 is the navy centenary
fairly recently released this one 2015
minted but we've seen a large influx
coming into circulation recently
which i think has held the value down a
little bit because it's actually the
third
lowest mintage coin down here in number
10 just 650 000 minted
and a current value of around three to
five
pounds number ten the navy
centenary
next up number nine it's another boat
it's the mary rose minted in 2011
with a mintage figure of just over a
million the only coin on this list with
a mintage figure over 1 million
and it's only just 1 million and 40 000
current value on the mary rose around
four
to seven pounds number nine the mary
rose
number eight it's the first of three
olympic coins on the list
and it is the london to rio handover
minute in 2012 for the handover of the
olympic games
from the united kingdom to brazil a
miniature of just 845
000 and a value currently of around
four to seven pounds

it's another olympic coin following it
up and this is
the olympic centenary committed in 2008
to celebrate
100 years since the 1908 london olympics
a current value of around four to seven
pounds
and a miniature figure of nine hundred
and ten thousand
number seven the olympic centenary
okay number six we take a brief step
away from olympics
and this is the king james bible
minted in 2011 for the 400th year
anniversary
975 000 minted and a value
of around five to eight pounds
the king james bible
top five now another olympic coin here
is the beijing to london handover just
918 000 minted
and a similar value to the king james
bible
of around five to eight pounds
right that's the top six done and you
probably might know what's coming next
because we're gonna have the four
commonwealth games coins coming now
this is a set of four coins the only
thing that's different
between them is the little flag in that
circle there
and these are all minted for the 2002
commonwealth games
and this one is the scottish flag of
course
and this is the most common out of the
four they're all very rare
and the miniature figure on this one is
771
750 and a current value
of around 8 to 11 pounds

right onto the podium the top three and
they're all commonwealths
number three it's commonwealth games
england
see the england flag there with a
miniature figure of 650
and 500 actually 500 more
than our 10th placed coin
current value of 9 to 14 pounds

right where's our podium there we go
there's bronze spot
in silva it is commonwealth games
wales see the welsh flag there with the
dragon
excellent stuff a miniature figure of
588
500 and a value now up around 14
to 20 pounds these are climbing
and probably will continue to
commonwealth games wales in silver
and the big boy number one of course
it is the commonwealth games northern
ireland
very very slight variation on the flag
here between this and the england one
of course they are very similar you have
the star there and the hand of ulster i
think it is above it
and the horizontal line on the flag is a
bit thicker i think on this one too
um very very similar when they're
circulated heavily it is even hard to
tell sometimes which one you do have but
this is a northern ireland you can just
about see that star in the center
and a mintage of less than half a
million four hundred and eighty five
thousand five hundred and the value on
this
really surprised me looking up it's
really rocketing at the moment
and you're looking at around 35 to 45
pounds
there's even many many sold listings for
coins
up around 50 pounds so i mean i remember
when they were
20 pounds 25 pounds not so long ago so
they're certainly rocketing up excellent
stuff
there we go there's our top 10. now as i
said in terms of miniature figure
really this should be up here in third
knocking that down we're talking about
values initially of course
um and then where else was there a
discrepancy as well the king james bible
should be pushed down a little bit
um mary rose at the bottom yeah so
other than that it's not far off maybe
switch the um
olympic centenary and the beijing
handover
that's got a slightly lower mintage only
8 000.
um but other than that the mintage and
the the value
is pretty much in line obviously the
time the coin is circulated
we'll have an impact while we're talking
about low mintage coins
um we we can't not talk about the 2015
britannia which is a definitive design
not a commemorative design
it was minted in 2016 as well for
circulation
but the 2015 has a mintage of 650 000
again
so that in fact would tie with the navy
centenary
for third place in terms of mintage so
these two coins
i'm not an investment advisor but these
two coins
are going to climb they will they just
will
it will happen you can mark my words so
it'd be interesting to come back in
maybe a year's time
two years time perhaps we'll do this
video again and we'll see
