all right ready yeah okay hey what's
going on guys Tom here and in this
special episode my friend Tim at my
place and we're gonna have a firetrap
fireside chat about his Amazon business
now Tim has been on Amazon for about a
year and a half roughly yep and he's in
the supplement space so one of the most
competitive niches that you can actually
enter on Amazon and he's done really
really well
recently he cracked one hundred fifty
thousand dollars a month and this is his
first Amazon business so it's always
really interesting to bring out guests
like Tim who's done really well and even
so it's a really competitive niche Tim
actually has some really really good
insights for all of us learn and there's
a lot of things that I found really
really interesting so yeah anyway
welcome to children thank you all right
so this is a third time okay self name
is Jeremy ah Tim why don't you just tell
the viewers all that about yourself
first my name is Tim second time over
here thank you very much Joan of course
for the invite and está mention and it's
up on space has been doing private label
for year and a half or so started my
first it's not real at first actually
because I did that one brand back in
school okay we could talk about that
that was pretty cool experience was
totally failed but the game was good
experience but this is technically my
second one in supplements and so far yes
I just I just cracked a hundred tickets
and working on that managing a team of
three full-time people in please
overseas and Philippines as well as I'm
about to start a brand new brand it's
gonna be in supplement space as well and
we can talk about why exactly am i doing
so you know cannibalizing you're
yourself and yeah that kind of tactics
that I guess bigger sellers do and on
top of which also I helped manage to
pretty decent sized brands for local
investment fund that they used to work
with but right now I act as a server I'm
some group manager because once the
business is being bought I'm I'm in
charge of integrating them applying
systems building a team and most
importantly launching new products so
technically you can say as of now on
day-to-day I manage it for brands that's
awesome so let's just jump right into it
okay earlier we're talking about
research and tim has a very very
interesting approach to product research
so maybe you can share with people about
how you do product research and what is
the number one factor that you look out
for mm-hmm sure
so one comes down to product research
I'm pretty sure you guys know that I
mean many people use different tools
such as jungle Scout black box by
healing ten and that kind of stuff but
honestly I don't really use none of that
and the way I do my product research is
literally manual search on Amazon just
because again I don't really I don't
really fit in the other categories you
know like in kitchen or outdoors none of
that lived of just going supplements and
I start just clicking around and seeing
different type of products and for me
it's very simple it comes on to I just
looked for look for demand which is
which DSR I look for price range ideal I
want to see average price of 20 bucks on
the page that's where we can make you
know this margin on it yeah and as well
as I look for of course number of
reviews and the rating but again as we
were discussing earlier with Tom really
the number of release
I personally believe and gain just my
personal experience I believe it's very
much overrated because I personally
managed to enter this piece where guys
on the first page has nothing 1000 it
has literally like what it's five digits
aloma thousand reviews and again it's
not like I entered and I dominated the
hell out of the space however I wanted
the product I'm still getting my you
know 50 80 cells they we just I'm pretty
happy right and that's why I can see
that at the launch to be successful for
myself personally and that's why after
that anemic before that I also enter a
couple of weight loss spaces and it was
the same story where the people on the
first page would have thousand reviews
and over and me being with 15 or 20
reviews I would start cracking the first
page and ranking and I'll get a stick
like you know sticky and but I would
start seeing great great volume
again it 800 unions a day that's why
really after doing a couple of those
rounds I like almost fully stop worrying
about the reviews I still do and I deal
in idealware of course of course we want
to see the space with great demand and
like alright although reduce right but
let's be honest is almost non-existent
that's why I came so what I was saying
earlier to Tom is if there's two spaces
let's say one with a crazy crazy demand
but crazy competition and second one is
going is going to be more of a like a
mediocre demand but really low
competition I would always go for first
one simply because I know that I am able
I will be able to grab a smaller piece
of a bigger pipe but by then another day
that small piece and in terms of dollar
value will be still bigger than the
bigger piece of a smaller pie right and
that's pretty much where I go for so
real to break it down the bottom line is
I just took 40 month and I go for it
right okay and then we talked about
product sourcing so because you're in
supplements maybe toss with a camp I uh
I can't it be annoying so I gotta fix
them but then maybe talk to us about how
you source for supplements where they're
from and what how do you know which
supplier you ultimately go with sure so
when it comes down to suppliers I get
asked a lot whether especially people
who look into launching into supplements
base as well whether it's they should go
to China Canada US or anywhere else in
the world
me personally I have my manufacturer of
the United States and as far as the
Chinese suppliers goes I would strongly
recommend proble to stay away from them
at least for supplement space and again
I'm pretty sure there are people who buy
supplements from China and Suliman
States and maybe - quite well but
personally I really cannot imagine
myself selling something was having a
meal in China yeah label me that just
again because simple if what from like
from again my overall experience I would
say probably the most important not
important story popular questions that I
get from customers is whether this
product made is is the China right so
that's how I know like yeah I don't have
that
so that's let me take on the occasion
and as far as choosing the supplier is
so how do you find suppliers in the
States right yeah pretty much man just
Google again you know nothing fancy no
no need to over think back last year I
spent probably a good at least two
months years of literally just emailing
calling me Lynn :
every single supplier I could find on
Google that was you know just had some
SEO on it and literally yes I did take a
huge huge due diligence and simply
because I feel like we were discussing
again with some earlier that you can
have all the tactics you can be super
savvy seller knowing all the marketing
hacks and black hat techniques but by
the end of the day if the product is
crap and it doesn't solve the problems
that people look to solve is it over the
long term you will it will lose to a
simple guy who maybe not as savvy and
have as much of resources and tools but
have just pretty good product he'll be
so over the long run that's why this is
something I feel people really
overlooked especially with you know
today because Amazon space is so hot
right now and there are so many courses
there's so many content and everything
and it's just oh wow hello and then and
I feel like people really get
overwhelmed with worrying about okay so
what tactic I employ right do I go with
many chair who influence marketing with
all of this stuff and then they really
simply forget and hover look that the
most basic part of having just a good
product
absolutely again right if I just good
reminder guys to take the time to find a
good manufacturer because this is really
your lifetime partner kind of thing and
he will either make or break a business
yeah I mean you can you can have the
craziest attics get on page number one
have you know all this and stuff and
then when real customers start buying a
product and they don't like it you're
gonna fall off page one because you're
gonna get a bunch of negative reviews
and so on and so forth yeah yeah pretty
much
and as well as not just from simply
supplying you a product that was good
manufacture and then so what I was
saying is apart from just giving you a
good product finding a right partner you
know he can really help you to scale and
you know come down things like giving
you terms right so happy to manage cash
flows yeah I mean to give you some
credits right it will help you maybe
sometimes in mind
but my manufacturer does for me
sometimes if I over produce and you know
how Amazon has only it lets you like
have six to twelve months or something
invent one sir she is kicks in so for me
not to do that
I actually hear it lets me keep some of
the stuff at his place for free right
that's like it is really those kind of
little things that really make the Creek
Park partnership yeah anything's
difference yeah that's why again coming
back to that's why I took time and you
know to entry to top real people to you
to check the chemistry and to check the
fit and then so yeah just chose one guy
and it's been a and of course but I went
not to say there is you know there is no
perfect relationship recipe it's been
some bumps on the road with delays right
there is a I guess who is a man I guess
expectations
but as far as the that's why again
actual is going back to finding the
right guy with the right mindset it
turns off that he wants to work with you
that he's pretty into preneur all that
it's not like that he just cares about
bigger guys and they're just like
smaller account he doesn't give
a crap that's why I don't I mean I
wouldn't do business with this kind of
guys but again you see once you found
the right dude problems will arise and
come up as long as there is
communication there's understanding
there's respect right it's old its
solvable right okay cool so you're gonna
place your order you picked your product
you're gonna place your order and
turning that time you're creating your
branding and I think what's something
that's really interesting in the
supplement space is that it's really
hard to differentiate of course there
are custom formulations and things like
that but that's not really easy to come
up with because I think you have to have
a background and kind of like chemistry
or on the chemistry but like you know
what I mean like health and stuff like
that and trick you gotta show studies
you can't make crazy claims gonna be
like oh this is like you got to do FDA
tests and things like that inward to
make claims so I think one of the
biggest differentiator is when it comes
to supplement is kind of the branding
right so can you talk to us about well
first of all do you agree with that or
do you disorder like what's your thought
that's just my right you can say
whatever you give me yours you're the
son right guys so what are your thoughts
around differentiation I guess how do
you differentiate yourself right
yeah not dumb you
I'm just kidding man no absolutely agree
with you and it's that that's that all
the same thought that I was having when
I was entering the space that like like
how do you differentiate here if you
answer the same thing to a manager
Berkeley exactly right but truth to be
told there are two parts of it what you
talk about
that's ideal case and for sure if you
can do that it will just really help you
to you know it will just increase your
chance of being more successful right
right whereas what's weird about
supplements and I really don't
understand it myself man even you're
right
it's all the same product like and when
I say that I mean the the content of it
the supplements action if you draw the
same whether it's vitamin C thousand
milligram per pure yeah it's a 90 count
yeah what's crazy if you want to that in
steps off and you go on a trip first
page it's little top eight guys have the
same product and they're also yeah but I
think that's something just unique about
supplements in general correct and I
think really after thinking about that
is first I think good chunk of people
actually don't even maybe realize it
because they never even read this
opponents action I have a suspect that's
why they come they see different labels
and then just over this a different
product and I'll just buy I think that's
really big part of it and and then and
yeah that's about it but going back to
the branding is is for sure so I think
the very basic and probably the worst
idea is to do from a part from just
having the same formulation it's not
even to the couch shopping branding
because that way you really just cut all
your you know chances and likelihood to
succeed that's why what I did is
definitely took maybe another in a
couple of good months is to develop the
brand and I mean the by Brent I really
mean more apart from really having a
logo and company name and cool story
behind it is when I say label brand I
mean the label right this anchor that
goes around the bottle that really no
actual no and the packaging inside of it
it whether it's white right bottle by
bottle or whatever and that's where
you're right is I think it's a great
opportunity to stand out and really MP
and to be perceived as a you know
different product higher quality product
maybe cool and that's where I really
went ahead and for instance you will see
that in 99% probably all the time people
are all they do they just do white
bottle white cap that's a definitely
standard packaging or black or black and
then amber and when gums comes on to
label it's super generic label in terms
of like on the front you'll say the cup
the product name and then you'll place
both points on aim in terms of the
benefits and that's pretty much it on
the right hand side you have a
supplements FAQ sheet and on the left
hand side it's almost empty you have a
couple of warnings and you know like
don't take it yeah under 18 that's about
it but that's where I really took time
and what I did is I use whole separate
packaging I use like completely
something different from my white white
and white and when came down to label I
really went and I did a really big
research on just micro branding outside
of Amazon that's really where a lot of
inspiration scheme you know just really
cool micro brands that spent quite a bit
of money on developing that branding and
you know having minimalistic look maybe
not predominantly white like that kind
of stuff and so I really went there and
so what's cool right now is apart from
that my packaging is different even the
look of my label is even less let's say
again on average the from the label is
overloaded with text it's heavy and then
it's like crappy images of a fruit or
vegetable I really do not have that like
my label is almost a barren modern it's
very modern it's exactly it's
minimalistic its moderate it's cool it's
clean its empty and I think just simply
by doing that I mean probably that's why
I guess I've seen the success that I've
seen right yeah I mean a lot of
supplements like the traditional
supplement brand name is kind of those
very medical look again if we were to go
to the department stores very medical
like just back colors but nowadays I've
seen a lot of brands popping up with
definitely a really cool design very
trendy very yeah yeah no absolutely and
you've seen my Brendan would you say
that you know it's your honor it's it's
very simple it's very simple very good
yeah very very nice to look at okay so
branding now let's say that your product
has arrived in Amazon
right the product all right and Amazon
mm-hmm you need other things as well so
we talked about brandy already so we
don't really talk about photos anymore
because I think that's kind of the kind
of same thing might talk to us a little
bit about keywords because I know you're
really really big on keywords so when it
comes down to keywords yeah this one's a
little bit tougher cos I mean I've been
changed some stuff recently and right
now it's a it's not really clear-cut way
to do it okay but I think on a big on
the bigger picture and just in general I
think when one just comes down to
keyword research I feel like the bottom
line and the overall goal should be just
to make sure that you grab as many
keywords as possible right that you at
least discover them so that you're aware
of them and then you can make a better
decisions because if you don't even
nobody if you're not aware of them yeah
you're not in that it can be found it
exactly right and that's why and that's
why we're my most timespan would be is
in just digging for those keywords and
when I mean when I say that I mean I
simply pretty much use any product
possible tool out there for keywords
research maybe up to four or five sites
all the biggest one in a war tree buyer
launch Hilton zealots are toast
yes so I used all of that I run all
those reverse Asians I ran all the
keyword research and what I like is
specifically about tools is I use that
as a platform because it helps you to
integrate everything I centralized
because you know how you upload the
keywords and then it lets you to make a
decision yeah so that's what I like
taught saw-toothed was for so I would do
that and then I will drop all the
reports from you know again from all
those platforms annulment decision and
I'll have this mastered massively so I
mean I know four thousand keywords
unique search terms five thousand and
they're from there that's where I would
go and I will start making decisions
right for my launch face do I want to
just pick one and literally to get away
for that one in really nailed down 11 I
want to take me be taking out five to
seven longer tail ones and really do
more of a short done approach and that's
where also I really like wire launch I
guess start out for that four day for
the two words they have opportunity
score I feel like that that metric is
actually pretty accurate and something
like
most of other tools actual done will
have so what's cool is that will show
you the opportunity score out of
thousand the higher the number the
better it is and it simply means that
there are less people not just competing
for it but there are less people who are
even index lucky all right and some of
the keywords in the entry if you can add
you know find the keyword with the Tinky
Tinky searches and then you know two
scores thousand I mean here's money
exactly right it's really simply means
like it will be probably twice or maybe
three times easier for you to run for
that keyword there's no one else is kind
of going exactly right
and I mean it's a big survey means you
know not misconception misconception but
misleading of people just speaking like
me and he wasn't going towards right
what I'm cares you know if you were to
launch on Amazon and you have to pick a
keyword to go after yeah how do you pick
that keyword usually do you just go for
kind of the top most searched keywords
or do you because what keywords here's
what I found is based on my experience
the 80/20 rules really apply meaning
that 20% of the keywords really make up
80 prob'ly htat and ninety can probably
probably even yeah you're absolutely
right
so do you kind of go for that 10 percent
or do you kind of go for the longer tail
keywords that you just mentioned
initially yeah obviously in the goal is
to be ranking on page one for as many
keywords as possible but your initial
launch phase correct so when it comes up
this is I think it really depends on the
specific niche so I can give you
concrete examples let's say if I enter
space like turmeric which I did then the
top three main keywords would probably
have a search search search volume of
like eighty thousand hundred thousand
searches per you know per month okay and
that's for sure where you know I will
not go after those keywords because the
game is under the two way to crazy idea
so that's where I would go after
longer tail keywords and few of them may
be I think my overall sweet spot is I
really like keywords that I between my
pinky up to thirty my wish I think this
a real decent keyword search volume the
new I mean will bring you great sales
and it's not as hard rank right so I
would do that whereas let's say if I'm
launching it to another space where they
mean keyword is 20k yeah
understood very clear okay yeah I really
depends the eye tumor it might be uh
yeah it might be a straight trade so
funny we just gotta save an email from
our advertising all right oh yeah my
puppy PC yeah yeah yeah but just by the
way could we see you spend about 10
percent of your gross right almost as
family's like Bush Anna is pushing it
other idea of what these man looks six
seven percent six seven percent of gross
revenue so if we were in here if you're
making a hundred thousand dollars a
month he will be spending about six
thousand dollars a month on PVC yeah
that correct and we almost I'm not the
only one because I have a couple other
buddies who are kid you know maybe like
four times bigger bigger solar with me I
asked them what be serious than five
percent yeah and that guys like you know
they just did you see man it's a
well it's time to do PVC and supplements
ooh man right yeah that's that's the
thing right it's like PVC and supplement
is pretty much oh yes my CPC is average
for $34 oh my my you know my Mike's
pretty much like before PPC margins
let's say ten eleven dollars per product
so it means like every two three clicks
I need to convert we just which is a
muscleman ten percent conversion that's
why yeah PBC's in supplement it's a
tough one yeah yeah for sure for sure so
in terms of ranking like I said we have
the program ranking Bank so if you guys
are interested in that right now it's
close but you can click on the link
below and register I'll let you know
when it opens and it's so freakin
powerful and Tim and I are gonna talk
about it basically I love to hear about
you know how you rank how you launch and
you pick the right keyword you know your
pricing you have a great product you
have great branding everything that's
gonna set up now I know that you have a
list so you probably launched it towards
the woods but correct let's talk about
for people that don't have a list
necessarily how would you do it if you
don't have a list sure I think before
that let's go to the page based on you
know how we discuss having defined the
mentals yeah you please yeah you know
having literally like I know it sounds
so like boring so what I'm saying at
this point but that's really what that
is having your own listening in
place yeah and having no just images but
create images right let yourself
create images and great work on SEO oh
yeah I mean it for keywords and and of
course only a title and in your coffee
it's really matters you know people
think that you know wherever elbow is
nobody reason maybe that's true but
still do you bets right yeah
because he not how they say like likes
preparation yeah that is very true yeah
and so going back to the launch phase is
essentially really my very first step is
of course that getting movies yeah right
in for that is yes we of course have a
list for that as well yeah
so what we do you want to go into the
product first day pretty much the first
couple of days I blasts out to my to my
list foot and in people buy and then I
start waiting you know five seven ten
days and I spread it out and I start
basically asking people to get fees
right so once that in place and honestly
again as I mentioned I don't really need
many reviews I think as far as I hit 15
I start my lunch face Wow yeah so as far
as I you know I hit maybe ten fifteen
and I start one I start watching it to
where people have to be reviews and on
that statius pretty much as I guess it's
pretty much similar to ranking bank is I
have a pretty big list and that's where
I would start driving a full purse
purchases lose our super just powerful
inside it's pretty crazy it's too crazy
it's just seriously it's so great yeah
it's so crazy I can I can't even really
fully describe it is and also like
because you guys will remember back in
there maybe even even just last year you
know discount you know have a
traditional heavy discounts giveaways
were so popular yeah and but from reduce
to make it work right what you will do
you need to go to these tools and then
to figure out how many using to give out
per day right and then you have to run
that for 18 days so it's literally 50
200 even said they giveaways for ten
days it's an enormous amount of money
right we're losing all that money and
then sometimes even the results would
not come so many people complaining
reviews on this all this one services
and no results yeah whereas but this
purchases thing and we really discuss if
it's not like I don't even like if you
were to ask me okay how do you calculate
a figure out how many huge a day oh it's
like it's like honestly like 10 yeah
I'm gladly it's like so little yes
exactly so it's like I don't know do any
crazy ass math like okay you know I get
40 to the 50 no it's like first of all
it's like 10 bucks today our face pretty
much so I would just drive wherever I
possibly can and then I would just you
know spread it over really wherever
again I don't have anything pretty set
in stone key it must be seven days it
must be ten days no way I would drive
you know maybe 15 20 foot purchases a
day for if I can run seven awesome if
you can run ten days that's it yeah and
I find that and usually even before I
launch seriously on day three four I
start seeing my product going from page
twenty two page three
yeah the page two within literally three
four days and I'm not even done is not
one yeah so that's that's a game
that's that's the real all there is to
it and again as we keep keep mentioning
all this tactics overthinking and all
this thing it's really you just
paralyzes you I feel like at this point
especially with all the content like
floating around internet but again don't
get distracted remember you're 20 and
just make sure again you get the basics
which is your listing you've done great
job on your SEO and then just have this
list in to the launch and again as long
as your product is actually good yeah I
think it meant that said man it's you
know people really over like over
complicate and just you know the
thing is that's also because we know
like what to do as well like like when
people when you don't know what to do
it's like you don't have a direction you
don't have tactics you don't have
strategies like it's like you're lost
you know enemy but like because we know
what to do so it's like a lot easier for
us to say like hey like don't
overcomplicate it
Korean you know someone who's like
beginner like what do you go I'm not
over I mean like it's so that is true
yeah yeah so it's kind of like I mean
for us like I guess you know what I also
meant is for beginners I totally agree
but even for you know for because you
know all these Facebook groups with
people were like people do sign up
beginners
people are selling already up up
and running
would ask all these questions you know
what it means that's though just like
kind of scroll of sphere and they would
ask all this like an equation kid would
calculate they saw that like I did this
tactic I'm on understand that's what I
mean
yes like this is real distractions I
understand yeah for sure for sure so
okay let's talk about and the rest of it
the thing is like so once you're on page
one why just kind of go on move on to
the next keyword right yeah once you in
the PD one I mean that's where I guess
you have to cross our fingers and to
pray that you will not slip that we're
going grants will you know our gang
cells will kick in but that's where it
so crucial to have that again basically
singing face yeah right yeah but the end
let's pray my truth once you're on the
pitch one in again I don't really even
shoot for you know for people save you
number one spot number one so I don't
give a about that yeah I mean I
just drank as long as I'm above the
fourth maybe you know top six yeah if
not even top nine spot yeah tooth like
yeah that's why actually it's going bad
by the way to my point of having that
big market yeah you see because it's
marking you so big
little not even top nine guys but you
guys all the way to the bottom of the
page first make decent sales yeah that's
why as long as I can rank anywhere in
the middle closer to the top or the
bottom
yeah man I had myself yeah and once I'm
done with that beer it depends if you
have nothing else coming up there for
sure go after other keywords right over
let's say you have another me privilege
coming up I mean I used to do that and
then try to get you know products at all
the products more or less on a at least
rank for some keywords main ones so that
they would start getting you know this
like 40 50 60 cells a day which singing
she's quite a bit mad watching you know
net a unit so to schedule circuits
start coming in and that's where I feel
like you know you start can start
getting creative
you know on influence marketing right or
marketing on a podcast right that runs
the speaker spoke on you come hop sang
it and or doing like main shot stuff you
know that's where it cuz wonder my is
that where we can you know gives you a
room right we go absolutely so what I
was saying is you remember how you asked
yes I have a list of this point and you
have it in cz but I put both beginners
do yeah who live through the choice like
just subscribe for so solar central yeah
I have nothing I guess you want talk
about that yeah yeah that's gonna stop
but no honestly I was actually thinking
about that before coming and I think
that's actually one of the probably the
most important questions right because
it's easy to do once you have a list
yeah but one when you don't in I mean
can I pitch in here what should be the
easiest way to build let's guys run
Facebook ads in my opinion you ever know
things forget target whoever your target
market is put a brand name in there for
example we're just gonna sell kitchen
product go on Facebook launched an ad
target people who like some sort of a
kitchen brand I don't know any kitchen
brands and then basically just say hey
we're launching a brand new product
looking for product testers opt in here
and will let you know when when when our
product is live and then you can get it
for free yeah you'll get subscribers
pretty cheap agree I think this is
probably the most the most practical way
and but it's not like something as easy
in terms of you know people need to have
some basic understanding of women
Facebook at yeah right do that and even
on top of that they should have some
budget but let's say you know that's
nothing for some yeah so I think what I
can suggest in this case is is that's
even what I did when I was launching my
first product because I mean I didn't
know what to be on supposed to Facebook
ads or I mean I knew about it but I
never tried them yeah so what is it is
you know that's where you really need to
start getting creative and and you know
that's where I want involves with like
freebies Facebook groups man yeah that's
where I went yeah you know that's where
I went that's where I start putting
putting ads on like hey guys do you want
to try like this teaching product or
this supplement right and then actually
I started doing that dude by two or
three months before my launch and then I
kid you not man i DM you know how I use
TM and then you go into the messages
request yeah I think I sent over like
that was the messages Wow to those
people because what I would do I didn't
want to put the boss in this group just
because I heard how you know there's a
people from Amazon like there's campus
like scanning through the groups in like
right block installers that's why I
didn't want do that so what I did
instead there would be another postings
that people would comment I'm interested
free or like I wanted this and then I
will just click on their profile and I
would be in them hey I'm isn't that
would you want to try and of course
conversion on that would
yeah 3% but that's why I ended up Amir
maybe messaging thousand people and I
ended up with 3040 people even for
reviews right and all that so that's one
of the options it's super practical of
course it's a quantum grind but hey
that's what it takes right and as well
as on top of that you can also you know
get more creative on Christmas and I did
myself you know under the exception it's
a great section where he paid him bucks
but that one's is much missus easier but
again you gotta pee but you make a pause
that hey guys we have this professor
Club we're about to launch products in a
whatever that is there's only so many
product tester Facebook Ads yeah oh yeah
why don't you test it cause I know but
even though right now it's fine even on
Craigslist if you go right now your
Center detection cliff testers looking
for brand ambassadors it works people
will email you and then that's it you
just tell them what the deal is you
build that list and that's how you start
grabbing those and as well as another
thing maybe think about point out is
guys once you have your website maybe in
the beginning it's gonna be as you saw
but must start tearing your sails add
the section on your website like
separate section
join our product desert Club right
because people search like even though
you're I mean of course you don't read
hats on this and then your SEO is share
of course but people everybody's through
branding that's how I mean I guess today
world work right people see you they
won't see you on it right Google only
website that's why if you put that you
will see that people will find out
directly it's a free traffic man yeah
that's it free lease right right so that
is a way as well but then in another
pieces over the long run that's how I
build my list is man inserts that's
right interest you have an interest and
then you guys what I mean by insert just
got to put something with any problem
with your product so that get in how
these people to either email you to come
to your landing page to your
final to manage a sequence to send you
text message to scan a barcode just like
some sort of there's so many ways to do
it but get them to get in touch with you
so that you can like pixel them or grab
they're going to information
that's how you build a list and this
born I really only like men at least so
I mean all of my real customers men I
know probably over a thousand well
that's great
that's awesome and that's real customers
but they really have to by the way this
I like exactly who asked whether I have
more products I can you know cross
market to them right again too many
things that's awesome that's awesome so
first of all tim is a full of knowledge
and he's very very happy to share with
everything now let me ask you why do you
why do you like to share these there's a
lot of people be like ooh like I know
all these things I'm just gonna keep it
to myself and recently you started kind
of documenting your journey
yep a people that follow you on
Instagram you insert Instagram handle
maybe you can let people know sure you
guys can find me on instagram at Tim or
came here so T I am you are ki m HD re
to more Kim here okay so why are you
documenting your journey what's your
what right honestly man I think by the
end of the day it's and it's really
about how do I say it's real about
others then it's off and I truly believe
it and what I mean by this is I feel
like it's a lot about like giving them
taking yeah and to be honest by the end
of the day let's be honest what makes
you like the happiest and give you gives
you so much fulfillment is Sheree yeah
helping yeah right and just providing
value yeah and that's so when I kind of
realized that and that's I went on this
route because to be honest by they know
they you know we talked about the crime
the hospital working hard and everything
else that is very true but at the same
time honestly I feel like whatever I'm
positioned today and whatever have is
really not because I work harder or
whatever I did more honestly I just was
watching love yeah what can that I was
privileged enough and I was blessed
enough to be in the situation to be this
no country you know what I mean to meet
people just like here you know me who
helped me along the way and that's why I
feel it's really that's nothing to do
with me and that's where I when I think
about this it's a game you know I had
all this good stuff happen to me so I
really don't want them
I really want all of those blessings and
good stuff happen through me
yeah that's why again I was fortunate
enough to receive it and I want to pass
it through yeah as I go along my journey
and and again back to your porn it's
really guys I think once you're really
in that place and you really have the
abundance mindset rather then you know
this Carsey mindset that this tactics is
so like crucial or like okay I figure
this out I'm gonna tell anyone
oh whatever that is right this is
Carsten mindset yes and I think if you
have that you just do yourself in
service yeah I mean the more I say
something I've learned is the more you
give the more you receive
absolutely that's by the way that's
actually I mean now you shouldn't now to
give with expectations to receive but
that's how this universe works
that's why you know when you give and
you help when you provide value and we
when you just beam up service yeah you
really create that void
yeah for yourself that you know will be
filled in and whatever you ask or
wherever you want he will receive it but
sure that man that's hot what's the
Karma where we call it it definitely
works but again not to say now it should
be no thing all the good deeds and with
occupations yeah yeah that's really
that's that's why man I just feel like
again there's not for everyone and by
the end of the day what's really kind of
the way I go about it is I feel like
whatever is mine is mine you know what I
mean like nobody's gonna take it yeah I
put it its longest I put it pretty work
I do the right thing yeah you know and I
kind of just trust the process
yeah I tried the process right I love
the process you were ever you know what
I mean look even disclosing your brand
showing your products like I really
don't give a that's why he in that
place I think overall the the idea of
competition becomes irrelevant yeah
making you or me because I know just by
the other day whatever is mine will be
mine and I owe me competition I don't
worry about it anymore I don't stress
about anymore when people leaving like
you know believe me 90 different views
reporting in the kalam azad I actually
don't even fact that you know roommates
and dancing when I know that he did it
like I just whatever I don't even care
that's why I know I tried the process
yeah I mean I guess you can only control
what you can control to like you can't
possibly control what other thousand
sellers are doing absolutely man
absolutely
and also you know just like I think I
just overall I I like to run marathon
well mini to polar ex-prince and that's
why I just I'm in that place when I'm
super long term and I have this brand
and honestly you know God forbid suit
will just go out the window tomorrow I
really don't give a yeah because I
mean I'm here for the long run
yeah yeah I just really know robot
exactly I just really know that whatever
happens you know if the goal with it
bankrupt right yeah I'll go ahead man I
have no problems you know but I know
what's really interesting there's two
things I want to say to that
it's wait first things first what you
just said it's I think a lot of that is
built on confidence
mmm but the fact that and you've done
this something so incredible and you
have the confidence and you're just like
you know what take it all away from me
but you can't take my experience I'm
gonna do this again right really that's
just how I see it yep you just know
because because yeah I mean look you can
tell you anything away from me you can
put me on the street tomorrow but I can
still I'll still come back right yep so
that's number one number two is kind of
a thing a lot of it is it's giving back
absolutely I mean I be in a day Amazon
is just we talked about this before
Amazon is more about it's a tool all
right it's just a vehicle right like I I
look I when I die when I'm 80 90 100
whatever hopefully a little bit older
than that I don't want to be remembered
as the biggest like honestly guys like
that's really not what I want okay I
want something all the more impactful
than that if I could help other people
and that's kind of what garyvee that's
right like it's not about how much money
you made it's how many people can come
to your funeral you know I mean 100 then
so like I know a lot of rich people that
you know they just make a ton of money
but don't like no one's going to come to
their funeral but I also know a lot of
people who make a lot of money and they
help a lot of people and a lot of people
would like to pay the respect because it
really changed their lives so for me and
kind of talk about myself a little bit
it's I know where I was before I know
where I am now hmm and I think for me
it's always been like what's the easiest
way to make money in this and
pathetic and which is mine in beginning
right when you never made like Amazon
it's pretty easy compared like tell me
another business then you can like tell
me another business right now that you
can scale like this and like how
everything is super systemize like ABC
like you just do ABC yep honestly like
it's just a good damn business to get
into
period okay period like okay look I'm
not passionate about Amazon like I said
okay it's not about oh but I'm not
passionate about I myself guys make make
a shitload of money first and change
your passion after it's a lot more
enjoyable when you have money in the
bank and chasing after passion versus
you chased after pension zero dollars in
a bank and have to worry about over to
your next month of rent comes from okay
that's none of my time I take on that
anyway guys know there's been a great
episode maybe we'll have ten back on
four
maybe we'll do like a quarterly thing
and kind of no III like to talk to you
man because we're kind of on the same
wave length in terms of hard work I'm
trying to keep up with Lima no no no
gratitude just improving yourself better
than where you were yesterday just yeah
I feel like we're on the and I I love
being surrounded by people like that it
gets me going it motivates me sometimes
I'm kind of in a rut as well I need that
energy firms know for sure man that's
why they say right to your day average
go there for people yeah around you 100%
and what guys what's really awesome
about it overall really journey is like
once you really start doing this and
even though even like Amazon what not
this stuff it information you will learn
in the experience you'll get a special
the people you'll meet that exactly just
like we're sitting here with Rome that
will really carry you through the
process
and not just like Amazon based you know
what I mean not just help you to succeed
on Amazon but overall in life yeah what
keep you sharp will keep you focused
will keep you on the right track who you
know like will be able to share the
ideas to share the energy and that's
where we really know where when
like-minded people get in the room you
know two plus one plus one three yeah
that's that that's that's a hundred
percent yeah because I mean our meeting
with them was that was very interesting
we just met like on the random network
anymore
the top yeah all right on top of sorry
yeah yeah the cold thing
it was the Camerons yeah camera and see
that was a bug 2 years you know that was
about tears 2 years before and do you I
remember actually you know you were 13
year you took just that but you were
even ask me because that's where I
worked for a deputy and then he even
asked me to maybe I should come over and
talk about investments I remember but
look at you now you know what fast for
just 2 years man I mean it just really
amazing many people you not apart from
you know you have in your YouTube
channel yeah you're my cat I'm gonna do
it
if anybody want a free shot so anyways
what I was saying you know I'm not apart
from you having great you know a super
successful Amazon store you know you're
doing great on social media by just how
many people you impacted and how many
people you helped like especially in
Vancouver I mean do sometimes any people
sometimes people reach out to me and
we'll talk like and they would ask me ok
- what do you know like what they do
work should alone and I would start
bringing up your name like that oh yeah
I already took its course maybe um so it
just man it just it just absolutely
amazing and just you know just as you
said Tom like for sure man just to to
really to really know me to to witness
your journey and by the way to be almost
like even may be partially you know they
the reason I started and one of this
documenting spree men's do to you yeah
no I saw you know exactly teen guys it's
really cool to remember that sometimes
you just don't know how many and how you
get people know just with me you see
what I mean like me that if I told you
that but you know but you do know the
great way to lead is by example so you
were just doing it out of life we're all
right because I remember you know your
story when you were working yellow pages
and all that right and they all said
cute this is this is amazing
so you see me been over a long long long
run it's really resulted in me maybe
starting this now as well they're like
so how many people you helped in fact it
and just what you doing and I thought
this is amazing yes it's super inspiring
thanks man appreciate it okay wow that
