so just about one and a half years ago i
was terrible at drifting i learned a few
tips that i'm going to share with you
guys now
of how to drift and now i'm kind of good
at it
so this video is just teaching you guys
how to drift i hope you enjoy
right okay so we're gonna do this with a
banshee because the banshee is the
hardest car to do with
or one of the hardest cars to do with
once you learn how to do the banshee you
can literally do
every other car so if you already know
to lower a car you can skip this time
stamps time timestamps will be in the
description
so the first thing you want to do is
make sure your car does not have
bulletproof tires if your car has
bulletproof tires
then you pretty much have to sell the
car and get a new one
and not put bulletproof tires on it okay
so any car you lower
you either shoot it in the middle of the
wheel or shoot it here
i always shoot it here because i get a
more success rate i think probably 85
of cars in gta you shoot it here and it
can lower
so you can either use a sniper you can
use you know a heavy revolver
you can you can use a lot of weapons for
this just not something like a minigun
of course
or an explosive ammo weapon so all you
want to do is shoot here
and this is going to be on all four
wheels you'll see it drop
twice so just look at the arch and the
wheel
there you see you drop once and there we
go it's dropped twice so you just do
that with all four wheels
and you know it doesn't really matter if
you shoot it too much
um in this spot here most of the time it
doesn't really damage the car that much
so shooting here for as much you know i
can i can carry on shooting it here
and it won't blow up so there we go now
that the car is lowered
we can kind of do the second step in
this part of the video we're going to
learn how to dump the clutch
this will help your car speed up a lot
more and it will help your car slide a
lot more
right after lowering your car the next
step is going to be
learning how to double clutch so if you
already know how to double clutch then
you can skip to the next timestamp
so right now on screen i'm showing you
how to double clutch what buttons you
need to press
so the thing i'm showing you on screen
now is lifting off the throttle
tapping the handbrake and then putting
it back on the throttle but you need to
be quite quick at it
it doesn't matter you don't have to be
super quick at it you just need to be
fluent with it
so now i'm going to show this green
symbol here for every time i do the
maneuver that i just shown you
which is the dumping the clutch so every
time that comes up
that's when i'm pressing it on my
controller so mainly when you want to do
this maneuver is low speed so
probably under 30 miles an hour but the
branch you can actually do it for quite
high speeds but we don't want to really
do it at that high speeds because we
want to get used to all cars
so from here i can now double clutch
and it will work now from other cars you
may need to do it at really low
low speeds but normally a safe bet is
second gear
so now you just want to practice keep
practicing that so low speeds
just do the green maneuver
and you should do it with this car you
can actually do it at quite high speeds
now we're going to be doing large drifts
so
large donuts this is going to teach you
how to do long drifts and control your
countersteer so you know how much to
turn
right so now that we know how to dump
the clutch and
which is a very essential part for
drifting and it makes you a lot better
at drifting
so now we're going to do large circles
without dumping the clutch
and we are kind of doing it
and you know we're getting grip too too
much grip
so now we're gonna try that with actual
dumping the clutch so
let's see if we can actually do big
enough donuts now
so there we go we're actually doing big
enough donuts and i want you guys to
just practice this just practice going
around in circles
and um yeah just because you need to
kind of practice the car sway so you're
always counter steering
i just see you can do really big circles
as you couldn't do if you weren't
dumping the clutch
okay so now you know how to dump the
clutch and you know how to do
long donuts you can find a place on the
map that has a circle
um here i am on the map um there's
another
place on the map over here but what you
want to do is now just
practice it so you just want to practice
[Music]
what you've just learned
and this way it will make you a lot
better of a drifter just do i don't know
20 30 laps of this and
you'll see why it'll make you a better
drifter in just a second
right so just coming off here now and
we're going to try this on the street
i'm not going to do any retakes or
anything
so i'm over here and just like i'm doing
a circle i'm going to do a quarter of a
circle to turn onto that street over
there
so just wait for these cars to go past
so
just like we're doing circles and there
we go just
a quarter of the way just let go of the
throttle when you're coming out of
the when you're on the road that you
want to be on so a long circle here
it's just the same way you're doing
those circles but just go in curvature
of the streets
once you've actually practiced the
double clutch and doing circles all the
rest
becomes so much easier okay so now we're
going to practice a bit of high speed
drifting
now what this implies is holding the
handbrake like you would do in real life
and then tapping the handbrake at the
end which you probably won't do
in real life so this is how it goes you
just go and i'm going to turn left here
so holding hand brake holding holding
and then tap
tap tap tap so that's what i'm doing i'm
just holding the hand brake and then
when i start tapping
that's how i'm controlling it so
so the method i just shown you with
pulling the handbrake and then tapping
at the end
it you don't even need to be doing high
speeds
[Applause]
okay i scraped the van there but as you
see
just holding handbrake and then tapping
at the end that's all i'm doing
okay so i'm just gonna do a lot lower
speed i'm gonna
hold the hand brake then tap tap tap
tap and you can just make this you know
any way you want and from the outside
when people are looking at you they
don't know if you're holding the
handbrake or
you know you're double clutching they
just see as a really nice drift that
you're doing
so i do hope i did help teaching you uh
how to drift
you know if anything's unclear or you'd
like me to go into more depth of
anything
then just comment it down in the comment
section and i'll probably just reply to
you and
explain oh explain why
or how to do something
okay so now i'm going to show you a more
easy controlled
method but this in the drifting
community is not really
something they like to do because it's
more like you know just tapping the
handbrake and it's
a lot easier than dumping the clutch
so what you want to do is every time you
you turn into a drift you just want to
tap
on the handbrake so you can do this like
as you see i'm just tapping it with what
0.2 of a second intervals and then you
can do this
so controlled so if i go over here
i can you know most definitely easily
just go around the front of that
helicopter
so turn drift just tap
and it's like you can do it every time
one one time okay i didn't see that
you can do it one time it's so easy to
do
so you just keep tapping it you can hear
my controller and you can hear me
tapping it
so it's just like a kind of a cheat into
drifting
and that was all one take it wasn't like
i recorded that over and over again it's
just one take
so i'm just going to show that again you
can hear me tapping the handbrake
so i'm always fully accelerating here
and what i do in like drifting montages
and stuff i incorporate this
and dumping the clutch at the same time
so what i will do
is i will go over here and i'll dump the
clutch so i'm dumping the clutch now
and then i'll tap at the end just to
straighten it out i won't keep tapping
i'll just tap like two or three times to
kind of
control the vehicle
like that so i hope you can hear me
tapping the handbrake
i know it's a lot more easier when you
can actually hear me doing it
um yeah so that's what i do with in
regards of tapping the handbrake
