well hey there what's up it's Scott and
in today's brand building tip I'm gonna
cover five ways to sell physical
products using video now I'm sure we
agree video is pretty big I mean heck
you're watching a video right now of me
demonstrating this stuff let's talk
about how we can take a physical product
and do something similar and get
eyeballs on your product and then this
way here people can buy your product if
that sounds interesting if that's
something that you would like to include
in your brand stick around because
that's what we're gonna cover here on
the whiteboard all right so before we
get into these five ways the first thing
I want to say though is these videos
that you're creating there's a couple
places that I think you should upload
those before any other place and that is
YouTube of course and Facebook of course
right there the two big ones right now
now what I also want to say is if you're
uploading a video to YouTube alright
don't take that link and just share it
on Facebook okay it doesn't do as well
alright so that's one little tip for you
take that same video if you want and
then upload it to Facebook upload it to
YouTube so that way there it's being
uploaded to that platform now if you're
talking about Facebook stuff like if
you're doing a facebook live you don't
want to be putting that one up on
YouTube necessarily because you're
telling people to like and share and
stuff like that so you might want to cut
that out or you might want to just trim
that stuff out just use your head on
that one you don't want to add Facebook
stuff to YouTube or YouTube stuff to
Facebook unless it's clean
alright so just keep that in mind but I
definitely think you should do both
platforms and if you can do a Facebook
live those are great because we can
always turn all of this stuff into ads
eventually but that's for another
training all right so let's get into it
so the very first one it's an easy one
is unboxing if you search on YouTube
right now there's a ton of unboxing
videos I'm sure you might even watched
some if you're buying a new item you're
usually gonna go there and you'll find
unboxing videos all right now the thing
that you want to do here though is if
you are the owner of it you just want to
be honest with people say hey you know
before you end up purchasing one of our
fishing rods I wanted to actually take
you through everything that's in
and I wanted to show you all of the
different components I wanted to show
you the quality and then have your
camera go really close-up on that stuff
or take really nice images and have a
slideshow done with those but you really
want to just take people through the
experience as if they bought it people
want that they need that because that
helps them if they're on the fence to
say oh I see this is what it comes with
it or here's what it looks like when
someone's holding it versus it just
being in a picture so unboxing that's a
easy one and it's it's one that I think
will definitely serve your market
because they want that okay everyone
wants to kind of see it before they
actually buy it especially if you have a
product that's expensive so unboxing
they're great now if you can get someone
else to unbox it that's great too if
it's someone doing a review on your
product or if you have an influencer and
they post it that's fine all right but
you can post that on your channel as
well and then embed it on your blog and
all that fun stuff all right so that's
unboxing now the other thing that you
can do is showing it being used so maybe
you can say hey guys I wanted to take
you out here today and I'm the fishing
on my fishing trip and I'm going to show
you the new bass 5000 fishing rod and
see a cast really nice it's got a nice
you know well I don't know I'm making up
stuff here I'm not a bass fisherman but
you get the idea right
you want to take people through the
process or through someone using it not
just an unboxing it actually being used
now you can incorporate these two if you
wanted to you can do an unboxing and
then you can split over to you can cut
over to the showing it being used but
showing it being used could just also be
you talking about the different uses
that it can be applied to or used in
alright so showing it being used is
another good one because we don't want
to just see it we want to see it in use
we want to see it under tension right if
we're catching a large mouth bass we
want to see that tension on the rod we
want to hear you know how well it
performs and all of that stuff so
showing it being used is another big one
this one here again I think is an easy
one how to if you have content that
supports how to do the thing that they
are going
it for so bass-fishing if you're giving
out five tips on how to catch more bass
you can mention in that how-to video oh
by the way guys I'm using my you know XR
5000 bass fishing rod it's you know a
product that we we manufacture we we
sell um if you're interested you check
the you know you can check the link out
in the description any of that stuff
right so you could put that in the
how-to and the more how-to it's kind of
like you're giving value before you ask
and they're getting something out of it
even if they don't buy then they get to
know like and trust you so I love the
how-to videos as well so if you have a
product that could have some how-to
videos around it again thinking about
the bass fishing market there's tons of
stuff I could do there I can do
something weekly showing how to do
different things okay or stuff that's
being used in that world alright so just
think about your market how to videos
one little tip here if you're on YouTube
and you're looking for different videos
that you could create just type in how
to catch more bass in and then you'll
see it'll say pond cold water all
different things that it will help you
understand what people are searching for
so the one thing I want to mention on
the how-to stuff if you're posting that
stuff on Facebook it's good for the time
being but it's not necessarily evergreen
and what I mean by that is people aren't
searching for that but people can find
it they can share it all that stuff but
what you want to make sure here that you
understand is that when you have a video
on Facebook you have a Facebook fan page
you can actually create your store there
okay inside of there and when you do
that you can actually attach a product
to that video alright
again another training but just
something to think about when you're
posting it on Facebook you can actually
include your product below that or
alongside it that will follow that video
so that's pretty cool especially if
you're running ads alright so that's how
to the next thing is different
applications and what do I mean by that
well if I'm that's way off there that
spelling is just scribble so it's just
applications alright but different
applications mean you know if you have a
fishing rod
can be in different types of water well
then you want to show that all right or
maybe it can be in a lake it can be in a
pond right so you know those are two
different applications if you sell a
part that fixes something then you
probably want to show the different
applications that it could apply to
right so what you're doing is you're
opening up the market that might be
looking at it for a different purpose
but it will still work for that thing
all right so just different applications
on how it can be used is another way
that you can demonstrate your product
and and you can also attract different
people that are searching for different
applications so that's another thing
that you can do and the other thing is
problem-solving okay how to fix X right
if they find that thing solving the
problem
they'll probably buy it all right now
this doesn't mean it's going to work for
every single product but if you have a
let's say that you have a kayak bass
fishing boat alright which is actually a
thing by the way and you're trying to
solve how to get your pole to stay on
the side without it falling in because
every other one you've tried has has
failed
well that's solving a problem right so
that's what you would do there you would
create a video on how to keep your poles
attached to the side of the kayak best
fishing canoe or no kayak not canoe
kayak then you would show that and
that's solving a problem all right
so anytime you can do that that is
really really good all right so now
here's what I want you to do I want you
to drop a comment down below let me know
are you using video right now in your
brand and if you're not let me know why
why aren't you alright because I want to
help you if you're not there's a reason
and I want to know why and this way here
maybe if you're stuck and there's
something I can help you with I'll
create a training just like this and
we'll get you unstuck so you can start
implementing some of this video into
your brand cuz I think it's really
really powerful the other thing I want
you to do is subscribe to the channel
this way here you don't miss any
episodes when we publish them we're
doing these weekly now so definitely
make sure you hit that subscribe button
and that way there you'll never
miss one of these episodes alright so
guys that's it that's gonna wrap it up
remember as always take care and take
action we'll see you guys
