so the faster you make your first sale
on ebay the faster you're going to get
your second sale
and then your third sale and then your
ford sale but it all starts
with listing your products the correct
way
what's up everyone paul here from
dropshippingtitans.com where i teach
regular people just like you
how to start your first successful
online drop shipping store
and i understand how frustrating it is
when you start listing up products on
ebay
and you're not making any sales and
you're kind of wondering
when am i going to make my first sale
why aren't my items
selling you know when i first started
selling on ebay
it took me a few weeks of listing
products before i
actually saw a sale happen and what i
noticed
was that all the items i'd listed before
they weren't selling
but then i hit one product i did it
really well
and then that product sold once and then
it sold several times that day
and went on to sell several times every
single day
after that so the question is how come
all those other products i had listed
never sold once and this one product
that i sold
sold over and over and over and over
again
so i studied all the items i studied
what i did differently
and i saw that i was using a different
strategy with this one product
and because of that that item was doing
really well
and the others weren't selling at all
now since then i've been able to refine
this strategy
to make sure that almost all the items
that i have listed
will actually sell really quickly and as
you're going to see when i teach you
this strategy in this video
this is really not that difficult and
you can get your items to sell quickly
if you implement the right strategies so
of course we all want our items to sell
quickly on ebay but this is probably
even more important than you realize
because we found that if an item that we
list up for sale
sells the first day that we listed it
there is a good chance that it will
continue to sell well
over the next few weeks and months and
that's because ebay
really rewards items that sell
quickly once an item sells ebay will
start suggesting and ranking that item
when people search for it which means
that will be higher up and it'll be
greater chance that someone will see it
and then buy it from you
in addition to that buyers are also able
to see
how many times that item has sold and if
they see it sold before
it greatly increases the chances that
they are going to buy it from you
because they see that someone else has
bought it and they feel more comfortable
purchasing it themselves
so it is really important to get your
first sale as quickly as possible
to get that momentum going because once
it sells once it will sell a second time
and then the third time and then a
fourth time
so let's actually dive into these
strategies so you can learn
how to sell your items as quickly as
possible
now it's very important when you list
your items to use all three of the
techniques i'm about to show you at once
because they work together to make sure
that your item sells as quickly as
possible
and the first technique i want to show
you is product research
i'm a huge believer that there is no
point in listing up items for sale
unless you have some sort of assurance
that that item is going to sell
and the best way to do that is with
product research we're going to actually
go on to ebay
see what items are already selling and
then we are going to sell those same
items we're not going to just list up
some random items and hope that they
sell
we are going to look at products that
are already selling well
and this is how you do that so i'm going
to start on my suppliers website which
in this case is walmart
and i'm also going to have open a tab
for ebay and all i'm going to do here is
search on ebay for
a brand that i know only walmart sells
like mainstays
and i'm going to find here another drop
shipper so here's one
looks like this person's drop shipping
so i can come in here
and look at their other products and see
what they are selling so they're selling
a bunch of products here really well
like this
kitchen pantry cupboard so i'll open up
that
and then i'm just going to find the item
on walmart by highlighting the text
and searching for it on google and i
know i'm going through this really fast
but don't worry i'm going to talk more
about this in a minute
and i open it up right here
and here's the item right here the same
one that's being sold on ebay
so all i'm going to do because i know
because i just saw that this item has
sold
many times on ebay from this seller i'm
going to go ahead and sell this
same product myself because i know
that this already has a sales history on
ebay i know that ebay customers
want this item so i'm going to list this
same item up myself
now if you're not familiar with my
three-step product research formula
then what i just showed you was probably
way too fast and you probably
didn't fully understand what i did and
that's okay because what i'll do is i'll
link up a video right here
where i talk you through and show you
exactly how to do
that three-step product research formula
and i'll also link up that video at the
end of this one
but the most important thing you need to
know for now is that product research
is critically important when you're
listing up items it will greatly
increase the chances that you'll
actually make a sale quickly
once you list up an item the second
thing that you need to do
to make a sale as quickly as possible on
ebay
is to take advantage of the fact that
ebay is a search
engine when buyers come onto ebay they
are usually looking for a specific
item so what do they do they come up to
the search bar and they type in
what they're looking for and they don't
just type in something generic
like in this case the word cabinet
they're going to get very specific here
they might do tall brown cabinet for
instance
so what we need to do is we need to get
in front of the right customers
if we have for sale a tall brown cabinet
then we want to make sure that all of
the keywords in our title
and on in our listing match up with that
so that we are put in front of the
customers
who want our product now
if we had this cabinet and we put in the
title the word
wrenches yes that might show up in front
of a lot of people because a lot of
people might be searching for wrenches
but no one's actually going to buy it
because what we're selling
is not actually a wrench similarly
if we list up this brown cabinet
and we put in the title wrenches then
everyone who's
actually looking for a brown cabinet
will never find
our product so we want to make sure that
we fill our titles and our keywords
with sorry our titles and descriptions
with appropriate keywords
so that this product does get in front
of the right customer
at the right time and like i said there
are two places where we do that
the first is in the title which when
you're listing an item is up here
and the second is in the description so
i always start with the title
of the item that i found on ebay that's
already selling really well
so remember this one sold 23 times and
they have a really nice title here
we already know that this title works
because
it's sold 23 times so i copy it
and i paste it on ebay but i like to
change it i like to make it even better
because what i'm doing is i'm looking
through here and saying are there any
words in here
that is unlikely someone is going to
search for and are there any words that
i can add to this
that people would likely search for so
right away i see that this
this title is missing the word wood or
wooden
and that's what this is made of and if i
was looking for something like this i
would search for tall
brown wooden cabinet so that's what i'm
going to put as my first
few keywords tall and i'm going to
delete some of these words like home i
don't think that's necessary tall
brown sorry tall wooden storage cabinet
kitchen pantry cupboard organizer i
don't think organizer is really
appropriate for this one
or even the word uh furniture might be
what i like to do is kind of go through
the description
and title and category in walmart and
see if there's any keywords that pop
out for me cabinet and we have shelves
might want to put the word shelves in
there
concealed storage to hide clutter i
think concealed would be as well
something because these have doors which
is kind of not always
you know some of these are just shelves
so tall wooden
storage cabinet kitchen pantry covered
um doors
maybe or concealed might be something
that people search for
concealed doors brown so that makes it a
little bit better i would definitely
spend a lot more time on this
but for purposes of this video i think
that's fine for now
and then the second part of this like i
said is the description
so what i'm going to do is first always
start with copying
the description from walmart and then i
paste it
in down here
and then i'm just going to come through
here and just kind of optimize this real
quick
update your home with organization the
four door storage cabinet provides
concealed storage high clutter
you want the word shelves you want the
word
brown i would put the word brown in here
you know a lot of these keywords are
probably already in here
i'll change espresso here to brown and
just make sure that all these same
keywords are in the description as well
and the third place for this is in the
item specifics so if we scroll down here
to where we have item specifics we're
going to put a lot of that stuff in here
as well
so under type you might call this
storage cabinet
but maybe there's something better here
like what do they call this they do call
us a storage cabinet
so i think that one would work but i
would also put in the color here maybe
more
more precise and put in the word
espresso
what the material is i would put that in
there the height the length the width
those also matter as well for getting
the customer
the right product at the right time
because again
ebay is a search engine and the third
thing you need to do
is you need to price your items
correctly now most people they just want
to make as much money
as quickly as possible and that's great
i totally understand that
but trust me the money will come but
first you got to make your first
sale remember what i said before once
you make your first sale you'll make
your second and then your third and then
your fourth
even if your first sale is a lower price
and then you
raise your price later and hopefully you
see where i'm going with this
when you first list your item up for
sale what you want to do is you want to
list it
as cheap as possible so
what i normally do is i figure out
exactly what my break even is
i take the price of the item on walmart
if there's any shipping i'll add that in
and then i'll use a fee calculator to
make sure or find out
what my break even is how much i have to
sell it for
on ebay to make zero dollars and that's
how much
i will sell it for on ebay now once it
sells once
great i don't lose money but i don't
make money either
then i mark it up in price because once
it sells once people see that
sold ebay sees that it's sold they start
recommending it and ranking it better
and then you can make a second and a
third and a fourth sale but the fastest
way to do that is to list it as cheap as
possible
to kind of incentivize people to kind of
get them excited
to buy it as quickly as possible even
though it doesn't have any sales history
on it yet
now like i said before these three tips
only work if you do
all three of them find the right
products use the right keywords
and list it at the correct price but
this all starts with finding the right
products so if you don't know how to do
product research then check out this
video right here this will show you
exactly how i do
my three-step product research formula
to find the best products
as quickly as possible to sell on ebay
