in this video i'm going to show you
exactly how to source products from
alibaba.com to go and then sell on
amazon private labels or amazon fba and
i'm going to show you how to do it step
by step firstly before we get started
should you even use alibaba.com look
there are many other places you can
source from you can source locally you
can take a trip to china and go to local
markets if you wanted to you can find
wholesaler websites online there are
many other online websites where you can
purchase from as well but alibaba.com is
the largest that's where all the main
manufacturers are and
really as an entrepreneur you want to be
saving time as well as saving money as
well in the process that's the whole
point so go where 95 of people are going
just purchase from aliaba.com it's well
trusted it's easy to use once you get
the hang of it and you will be able to
find more than 95 of amazon products
here anyway so without the way step
number one is to create an account now
you don't have to do that just to browse
but if you want to do you just click on
the join free here fill in a few basic
details including company registration
if you have it password email etc and
then you're joined and you can start
messaging suppliers and so forth next
step two we want to search for a product
now what i suggest you do if you've done
your product research already and by the
way if you haven't i have many many
videos on this channel just click on the
videos tab and you can go through them
in terms of how to look for products
also if you have no idea what selling on
amazon or amazon fba is i have videos
again about that basic videos covering
exactly what we're trying to do again on
the channel so let's say we were
searching for a diffuser for home so
let's just go to the main search page
many many different types and we can use
the main keyword in alibaba so we can
type in essential oil diffuser or
diffuser for home or we can actually
even use the picture so let me show you
how it works with the picture so what
you can do is go into a listing
click on the main image and right click
and just save the image to your
downloads or your desktop and then on
alibaba you come back here and click my
search image i uploaded the image and
you can see now the exact same ones
showing so it saves a little bit of time
but you don't necessarily need to do it
that way it's just if you have an idea
in mind of the shape size design that
you actually want this could save you
some time so that's great so we've now
got all of the products down below so
we've got many many products sometimes
hundreds and hundreds of listings on
alibaba how do we differentiate between
these
which ones are from the good
manufacturers which ones have good
prices good catalogs have stock stuff
like that how do we even know which ones
are reliable because you have
manufacturers but you also have trading
companies on alibaba.com these are
almost like middlemen they're people who
will buy from the manufacturer and then
sell on to you and they would want to
make a little bit of margin now in the
vast majority of the time especially as
a beginner you want to just deal with
manufacturers there are some rare cases
where trading companies do make sense
but for you as a beginner it just does
not you want to start this properly by
dealing directly with the manufacturer
first just be prepared for the fact that
you might be dealing with people there
whose english isn't good because
marketing is not their their main aim
here making really good products is what
manufacturers do not the other stuff
when it comes to sales and marketing as
much so what's the next step we want to
filter so what i would do here is rather
than sort by products i prefer to sort
by suppliers because i want to find the
suppliers of this particular product so
rather than the image we could again
just do essential oil diffuses it but
this time i'm sorting by suppliers i
would only put the main keywords i
wouldn't wouldn't put too many more than
that because you don't want to be
missing certain manufacturers who would
be perfect for you they just didn't do a
very good listing on alibaba.com because
they didn't know what they were doing
when it comes to marketing as i've
mentioned before so now you get all of
the different suppliers so rather than
products you see you've got thousands of
suppliers the next thing i would do i
would want to go for those who offer
trade assurance and they're a verified
supplier that means alibaba.com they've
done some checks to check the company to
check that there's actually people
working there the number of people that
they said were working there they're a
proper actual factory they've got some
certification etc etc just makes a lot
more sense so check those two and then
what i'd want to do is on the left you
can filter by certification as well by
if that's something that you want to
just double check to be on the safe side
but generally what i try and do is
actually filter by how many years
they've been trading that's what i
actually prefer to do and there's a few
ways to do it you can actually filter or
you can just scroll through them and
just see which ones i'll be trading for
more than say five years but apart from
that i wouldn't over filter anymore i
won't worry
any more than that and then the next
step is to actually contact some of them
what you don't want to do is contact
them go in and say look how much is the
price for this particular product that's
not how you build a relationship that's
not how you negotiate and that's not how
you find the best product for you you've
only decided that this is a niche you
want it's much better for you to
actually look through their whole
catalogue of diffusers to get a better
idea and you want to make sure that they
actually only sell this type of stuff
and i wouldn't even trust somewhere in
some of these listings where it says
whether a manufacturer or whether a
trading company it's actually better to
look through their products to get a
better idea so let's click on this first
one here shenzhen hija technology
company limited one of the things i tend
to do here just very quickly glance out
some of the main details about the
company for example what their main
products are and how many employees they
have because generally they should be
selling you know if they're using the
same type of machinery they should be
selling products that are similar like a
lot of home kind of products that
involve oil or water blending etc that's
a good sign if they're selling mobile
phone cases here and then gym equipment
and then diffusers that's not a good
sign they're very unlikely they're going
to be a manufacturer doing all these
different sorts of things so that's one
of the things i actually look for and
i'm just going to take a pause here and
just explain something else to you as
well all of this is research this will
take you
minutes to hours to even days sometimes
but just understand if you order a
really good product this can potentially
be selling for you on amazon.com uk or
amazon.com whatever your marketplace is
for many many years to come so it's not
wasted research and also we're now in
2022 so happy new year to you all as
well you really need to buck yourself
when it comes to this most of you
watching you can do way more than in
terms of what your potential is we live
in an incredible time at the moment
where nearly everyone who's involved in
online business you're getting first
world opportunities wherever you are so
take advantage of that and put some
urgency on yourself put some pressure on
yourself no matter what you've achieved
so far that's how human beings we get
the best results your mind gets into
like a problem-solving mode don't get
complacent and never settle it's not
only good for your business ambitions
it's good for your physical and mental

next thing i would actually do and then
what i want to do is i want to contact
at least five of these suppliers for
these oil diffusers at least preferably
10 if it's a niche where there's a lot
of volume i would look through and i'll
contact 10 to 15
because the more the merrier you know
you can quickly uh scan through the ones
that are not right for you and what are
you looking for here when you contact
them what you want to really get from
them is their main catalogue in terms of
oil diffusers you want to find out if
they have any in stock at the moment you
want to find out what their minimum
order quantity typically is whether they
can brand your product stuff like that
just to show that you're serious you
know exactly what you're looking for and
also when you're signing off on the
contact you want to put something like
you're the purchasing manager the sales
manager for your company makes it look
like you're a slightly bigger company
and that's a good thing because a lot of
these companies are alibaba especially
if you're brand new so you've got no
trading history on your account they
really want to work with people who are
serious who will keep buying from them
again and again
not kind of a one-hit wonder and they
don't want to waste time with people who
just emailing everybody on alibaba.com
trying to get the best prices that's not
what you really want to be doing here
you want to be getting the best quality
at an appropriate price which is making
you enough roi and profit that's mainly
what you're looking for and the reason
you want the catalog is because you're
interested to see all the different
types that they offer and then you're
gonna go back onto amazon.com or
amazon.com and research it further and
then you're going to see from that
catalog which one is more appropriate
for you unless you already have decided
which one you want and in that case you
can just find the particular price for
that one minimum order quantity compare
with some of the other manufacturers as
well yet another thing you can do is
scroll to the top and where it says
business performance you can actually
check some of their reviews as well and
this is good because you can check the
date in terms of when the actual review
came in and what people said and you can
see you know most of these reviews are
in english and you can actually quickly
look through them as well and you can
see where people are actually ordering
from etc so that's quite handy as well
because that's the great thing about
alibaba.com is similar to amazon now
where people actually do leave reviews
and sometimes when i've not been happy
to be honest i've not left a five star
review for the odd supplier here and
there and that's okay and like i said
this is part of the online world now
nobody can get away with just selling
complete rubbish anymore so what's the
next step after that but the next step
is you can see everybody says chat now
contact supplier you'll see that in your
alibaba messaging you want to speak to
them firstly via email but if i'm
looking to place an order i actually
prefer to try and get them on an audio
chat either on skype or on whatsapp or
on wechat which is
another kind of whatsapp alternative a
lot of people in china are used to using
and you can download the app to your
phone for example and just speak to them
over the phone to get a better idea
you'll find the english probably won't
be very good because like i said they're
concentrating on manufacturing great
products not doing too much sales and
marketing but that kind of is reassuring
for you and it also helps you build a
relationship with them as well before
you order and i advise usually when
you're ordering that's why i put the
tick box there for trade assurance when
you're actually ordering some of these
you should order via trade assurance and
never ever start the order here on their
page or
read any of these figures here because
these are not even guide prices they're
just for the listing purposes only
remember it's the supplier you're
speaking to who has an exact catalogue
of their current prices of their current
stock at this particular time so this
could be miles off this could be two
dollars or 22 dollars in reality so
don't skim through thinking oh that
price is too high i'm going to leave
that one and never ever just order
directly from here speak to them build a
relationship and then with them they
will create an order in alibaba.com for
you which is something you agree with in
terms of your price
shipping terms etc and that's why i like
this at the bottom trade assurance
especially as a beginner because you can
agree the shipping terms they're very
clear on the order there it's very clear
when you're going to make your first
payment and clear when they should have
the product ready buy now if they're
manufacturing it from scratch there will
be a delay and you want to agree with
them as well are you paying 20 or 30 up
front and the 70 remaining when the
product is ready to actually ship and
send to you now at the time that they're
actually sending it just to be clear you
will have paid all of the money to them
they won't send anything without you
paying all the money unless you
obviously you've worked with them for a
very very long time and you have other
orders in the pipeline and you've
already paid deposits on them for
example so i hope that makes sense by
the way if any of this is not making any
sense if you have any questions about

mode there's nothing stopping you with
emailing some of these suppliers it's
free it just takes a little bit of your
time don't worry if your amazon account
is not fully verified yet just start
taking those initial baby steps that's
what builds momentum as an entrepreneur
keep researching keep moving forward and
give yourself some deadlines because the
reason i'm making this video now is
because we're coming up to chinese new
year very soon in a few weeks and then
everything's closed in china so you
won't be able to order for a while then
even when everything reopens there's
going to be such a backlog that they're
not going to deal with your order for a
while again and they're very very
serious about their new year holidays
which is completely understandable so
you need to get your orders placed
literally now within the next two three
weeks and get it all confirmed and get
that stuff sent over so if you're
serious about this give yourself some
targets in the next seven to ten days
make sure you finalize your product
you've agreed on a supplier and you're
