has to do with something that it just
seems so simple
but i don't know if anyone's ever said
it before and
this really simple thing and i hope this
offered you a mindset shift
can really help you succeed on the
platform

what's up guys welcome back to my
channel today in this video
we're going to talk about how i made 25
000
on one digital product idea on etsy
and i want to talk about this because
you guys have asked me
how do i know which product to create
first how do i choose a profitable niche
how do i know which product is going to
make me the most money
so i thought this video would be really
interesting because i'm going to be
talking about how you can actually
see which product is going to be the
most profitable financially for
you because i can't really help you
decide which is
best based on your strengths or which
one is going to be profitable for you
emotionally
but i can give you some tools and
resources and spark some ideas
of how you can decide which product will
be profitable financially
so let's just jump into the tips i'm
going to share some things i haven't
shared before
so let's just get into it
now i want to talk about marmalade first
because i've talked about marmalade a
lot before and
i want to offer a different perspective
for you
so you can validate a product idea using
marmalade
you can validate there's a gap in the
market meaning that
if you search a keyword term and it's a
long tail keyword which means that it's
very relevant to
the product and you see that there is
more search volume and engagement
than there is competition that tells you
that you found a gap in the market which
basically means that you can be
more profitable more quickly and maybe
more easily
than a long tail keyword that describes
a more competitive product
even if the search volume and the
engagement is really low on marmalade
you still can be profitable for example
my top search term on
etsy is thank you card business and
that used to have under 25 searches and
engagement
per month when i first started selling
this template but i was still making
several hundred dollars every single
month and that's because there are other
keywords that people
are searching for to find my product
like thank you
card okay that's a very generic keyword
but people were still
searching for business thank you cards
using just the keyword thank you card
and i was still populating so the best
place to really look
is your competition the other sellers
that
are selling something similar to what
you want to sell
and you can actually calculate how much
someone is making
with a product right and i'm going to
show you how
so we're going to take a look at this
ebook template
and if we scroll down to the review
section you can see that this person
got three reviews in december and
typically
people leave a review 10 of the time
and i did test this out on my shop and i
noticed that it
is pretty accurate if this seller got
three reviews in december
then doing simple math that means that
she made 30 sales
on her template in the month of december
which means that on average she made 750
on this one listing i mean that's crazy
because that's not the only template she
has on her shop
so if you want to know how profitable
you might be you can go on to a
competitor's site
you can check out how many reviews
they're getting and you can do the math
then you can figure out how much money
they've made
and i want to show you another good
thing to look at when you're on
marmalade
when you type in your long tail keyword
you can actually filter by materials
make sure you're filtering for digital
product
or pdf or printable etc all of those
words that indicate that this product is
digital
and then you can scroll down a little
bit and you can look at the price range
and this is going to tell you where
those listings that use that keyword
that are also digital or whatever
materials you checked off
this is going to tell you where those
listings are priced
what i've noticed is the best sellers
are actually on
the lower end of the spectrum so knowing
that you can get a good idea of
how much you can charge your product for
but also be
successful right you don't want to do it
on the high end unless
your product is something that warrants
that type of price range
but knowing this information you can get
a good idea of
which product is actually going to be
worth my while because
maybe a single planner sheet you could
charge like three dollars for
but maybe if you created something else
that was more elaborate like the ebook
template
then you'll be able to charge more money
i charge 14
for my thank you card templates and the
reason why they
sell even though the majority of people
charge
less money is because i do have certain
assets elements there's something about
my
product that warrants this higher price
so you want to keep that in mind as well
now the secret to my success on
etsy has to do with something that it
just seems so simple
but i just feel like i don't know if
anyone's ever said it before
i created something that i could get
more
bang for my buck all right let me
explain what i'm trying to say so i
created a template
and i was able to stretch that one
product and that one idea really
far i feel like i see a lot of people
trying to
fill up their shop with different
products when that's really exhausting
them
and it's also wasting their time because
they're thinking i need a certain amount
of listings
in order to be successful when you can
literally just have
one template and have your whole shop
centered around that one template and
make a ton of sales i mean i make over a
thousand dollars
every single month and i only have this
one template i just was smart about it
by creating
different colors and having different
font options
and making it user friendly and more
customizable
so more people would actually want to
purchase this template
because here's the thing guys i found
out what
template worked for me and then i just
duplicated it with different colors and
different
fonts which was attracting more people
but not only that
now i had more listings on etsy
eventually once you optimize your
listings
sales is just a numbers game now it's
about getting traffic and being more
visible
so because i had so many listings and so
many different colors and variations
even though it was the same template
just tweaked a little bit here and there
i was more present all over etsy so this
could be
applied to so many other things like
cover letter templates and resume
templates i mean the same thing there
that's a really profitable product
and you can create different styles
different
font options different colors i mean you
can really
stretch that one product idea and this
really simple thing and i hope this
offered you a mindset shift
can really help you succeed on the
platform
here's another different but similar tip
so creating planner kits just kits in
general
you can really stretch your product
super far because
let's say you create a meal planning kit
well now you can break
up each of those pages into its own
listing
that's another way of creating something
that you can have multiple listings
so your time and your energy goes
further
