I brought you a special sword what's so
special about this law this is the best
apollyon extorts ever made it's an
imperial guard sort this would have
belonged to the Dragoon
what's a Dragoon mom Ted artillery I
might call my boss the Dragoon for now
[Music]
Napoleonic Imperial sword is a sword
used by Napoleon elite regiments I have
many swords and I'm trying to simplify a
little bit I would like to sell the
store today and if I'm able to sell it I
would like to take the proceeds and take
my wife for European vacation it looks
cool and if I could pull it out yeah go
ahead take it out so this is an Imperial
Guard sword
this is an Imperial Guard sort the
Imperial Guard is one of the most famous
forces ever in Europe you could compare
him today to the our Special Forces
that's what they were
yeah Napoleon he was known for having
his imperial guard stand around him he
could you would always know where he was
because you could see the formation of
Imperial Guards moving around and I know
some of them were so loyal they even
followed him out when he got exiled yeah
yes they did mind if I look at it yes so
what are these markings right here
what's that say F M K that's s and
kate's
s and K is the maker Schnitzler and
Kirschbaum and it was made in Solingen
Germany so the Germans were actually
enemies of Napoleon so Napoleon's
enemies we're making his weapon yes and
this sword is very well preserved the
scabbard for the leather for being over
200 years old is very well preserved
yeah that's uh for 200 year old leather
it does look pretty well-preserved I
mean I've seen hundred-year-old leather
falling apart crap how much are you
looking to get $5,800 okay I would like
to have someone come down and take a
look at it and see what they have to say
they can talk about the condition and
whether or not they think this is a
Napoleonic sword you don't strike me for
a liar Hey
No I gotta have my guy come down and
tell me what this is absolutely alright
give me just a few minutes I'm gonna
make a phone call and see if I can get
him down here thank you I am not worried
about the expert because I've been
collecting Napoleonic swords for many
many years and I am actually an expert
myself Wow
yeah this is what I called you about
that's beautiful
you don't often see the entire scabbard
right right I'm gonna see him cracked or
fall down down here just smashed flat at
the end man yeah okay so this sword is a
cross EA's or a heavy cavalry officers
sword and it's a presentation sword this
was probably given to somebody after
they did something or when they were
promoted or something like that I like
the fact that it's got the s and came
work on that yeah and that's the the
maker and they were a German maker that
just made excellent place what I would
love to have seen on this was the
balloon of glowing was the blue is just
like a finish yourself yeah like gun
bluing so it has this beautiful blue
sheen that just makes the gold pop out
all the etching and the gold pop out but
this is in beautiful condition and then
look at that
okay I mean look at it wait I think
looks like a jeweler's fit right yeah
and that's what you want to see you want
to see these everything fit no walking
us no looseness now this sword is
definitely the real deal okay so what
price would you put on this particular
sword
of what you have with this one that
makes it a really nice piece is you have
the complete scabbard in excellent
condition the only thing that I would I
would love to see on this blade better
is that bluing on the blade during a
little bit of less of that rust so I'd
say maybe 39 all right well thank you
all right thank you
it's a beautiful piece it's in wonderful
condition and these Napoleonic pieces
are some of the most highly collected
swords what do you think about
23-hundred know this is the best sword
that was ever made for for the ground
army I cannot part for this less than
$3,700 I'll tell you what let's be a
couple dragons 2,700 can't okay
3,000 is firm where I can be has dual
3300 but it did I I don't even feel
right doing 3300 I don't want to make
you do something you don't want to do so
if we can't come in a deal for 3,000 we
cannot I appreciate you bringing them in
they it was very cool thank you
all right have a good day you too I will
put the sword back in my library and
display it and remember my drug room
friend Chumlee I don't know if you're
gonna be okay on this one dude I'm gonna
be fine Corey I paid under five grand
for these I mean that was in the
building I was just in my office what do
you know about swords I know that I
don't know enough to buy them without
calling somebody you just bought those
yes I did didn't call anybody and spend
over 3,800 bucks on swords really I'm
gonna call Mike and get him down here to
take a look at these this is a catwalk
rig trust me it's a cakewalk it's all
true yeah walk because cats walk so easy
and when they fall they land on their
feet just like me if you fall you're not
gonna land on your feet from walking
like a cat I will
what's wrong with you you better not
have screwed up right earlier Chum spent
$4,000 on three samurai swords because
he thinks he's a samurai expert so I'm
calling it Mike who actually does know
something about samurai swords and I'm
gonna find out how much money I lost hey
just the man I'm waiting to see don't
you shed some light on these four uh old
Ricky over here Rick you don't look very
happy yeah apparently I don't need you
anymore because Chum knows everything
there is to know about swords down well
I told you to call me if he ever needed
some help it was basically make a deal
on these swords and get him now or don't
get him the guy was in a hurry he had to
get off to a barbecue so can you tell me
about these things or should I ask you I
mean they look yeah check him out I'm
gonna take the handle off so we can see
if it's signed or not okay yeah this one
is very tight so it obviously hasn't
been off for a long long time which is a
good sign and it has a signature so
generally when you're looking at swords
to buy you always want to check the tank
to see if it's scientists see if anybody
famous made the sword this title with
this type of file marks belongs to the
sword Smith no one has now gone over so
far he's good news because he's actually
well known is very famous okay so the
blade is in good condition but there's
no flaws it has one small Nick so this
is actually a very decent sword so is it
considered a sword being this short or
is a knife
Oh jelly it's called a dagger it's uh
okay the tanto qualifies as a dagger but
still a sword in a sense so we'll move
on to the next piece
kind of excited to see what you have to
say about this one so believe it or not
the entire sword is held together by
this one
bamboo Pig ultra battle I remember you
two taught me that last time you came
here see if there's any markings on this
one
[Music]
why are you lucky and this one - it's
actually signed so it's full signature
here and the sword is got some good age
to it well how old is our this sword
dates from the late fourteen or the
1500s yeah please what a beauty what
other pins missing oh that's the
traditional way of removing the handle
from the hilt signed another signature
this sword is signed
so she jus Akihiro he's one of the most
famous makers of Japanese short history
you know people spend years and years
and years looking for the holy grail of
Japanese swords worth of the three or
four million dollars I like where this
is going Rick
unfortunately the signature appears to
be a forgery so if when was it forged
like maybe 100 years ago 200 years no no
the sword is actually old it's just that
it was so popular to have such a famous
name given to Lords and other Lords that
they actually made forgeries on other
blades that were available from the same
time period so this blade is actually
old it is from like the early 1400s what
are they worth well as a package you
looking at about
13,000 for all three I'm not gonna
congratulate you it just takes skill to
win it a slot machine if you ever need
my help I'm there for you thanks man I
appreciate it hey how's it going hey man
what is this this is a Frostmourne sword
from the world of warcraft world of
warcraft that's a video game right I
think it's like the biggest video game
of all time jump you know about this
right how big of a nerd do you think I
am
I have a World of Warcraft sword that
I'm hoping to sell today I'm a pretty
big gamer I was really into World of
Warcraft for a long time and just
recently decided to move on to other
things it's still in its original box I
have not taken it out and played with it
much so as far as I can tell I think
it's a perfect condition ok can we see
it is it yeah sure whoa I think it's
pretty cool let me hold this ok let me
check this thing out oh this thing is
badass what do you think this is made of
the blade looks like this made out of
Steel the world of warcraft came out in
2004 it was huge the game was so big
that in 2008 epic weapons actually
started producing weapons from in the
game so this sword is like the real-life
version of the sword used in the game
the sword is called Frostmourne this
sword belonged to the lich king in the
third edition of the game so what do you
do in the game you just fight other
people yeah I mean there's like all of
these different characters that you can
fight against or like me and you could
be on separate computers fighting each
other you know so you can fight
real-world people and you can fight
other characters that are controlled by
the game okay is this one of those games
where people stay up like two or three
days and play it sometimes people play
this they play for days and days and
days and days Oh check it out go ahead
hold this bad boy it'll hold it like a
real sword
don't you feel badass no I said I feels
kind of silly to be honest with you you
look kind of silly
it looks way better in my hands
you afraid I wield the power rip
Frostmourne hungers I have no idea what
you just said please put it down Chum
how much you want for this thing I'm
thinking $5,000 really I have no idea
what this thing is worth so can you call
up Steve for me put it down
no you're not gonna take it with you
give them a call and it'll help us up
I'll be right back okay the world of
warcraft the game of all games world of
warcraft is huge
it's incredible with World of Warcraft
has done in the world of gaming of its
one standalone game and Blizzard
Entertainment the company that kind of
created the whole thing has netted
around nine billion dollars I'm again
but that's a lot of plenty so this is
the Frostmourne sword what do you know
about this thing well you know video
game memorabilia and props have gotten
really really big this sword in the game
Britta's of the lich king's you
definitely had to have this sword if you
wanted to be one of those top tier
players so this sword became one of the
most desirable pieces of memorabilia
something that hey I couldn't get it in
a game at least I could take it home
okay so is this thing authentic or is it
just a knockoff so let me take a look at
it and you mind if I sure go ahead now
it's in dangers hands yeah these things
are amazing I mean there's a couple
really unique traits about it one you do
have the epic branding a logo on the
back of the sword here and on most of
the replicas it doesn't actually have
the black laser engraving so this is
definitely an authentic one just looking
at one of the most desirable pieces of
World of Warcraft collector items
okay that's it what's this thing go for
it well you know these things have sold
for as much as five thousand dollars at
one time however you're gonna have to
find someone who actually wants an
authentic one someone might be satisfied
having a replica hang on their wall I
think you're probably gonna be able to
get somewhere around thirteen hundred
and fifty dollars for this okay thanks
Ben no problem thanks Joe alright he
just told me it's gonna be hard to solve
yeah boy I'll give you 600 bucks for it
I mean I don't think I can do 600 could
I get a thousand for it I have to resell
it it's gonna sit there for a while I'll
make it easy on you I'll go 750 on it
I'm not gonna go a penny more I'll agree
to the 750 okay 700 bucks
go write him up Chum leave the sword
here I will put it in the box you want
to play with it done yeah no I don't
want to play with it I'll meet you right
over there write it up while he plays
with the storage coke
Rick Rick Rick I got something for you
Davey effin deals what's up huh the
oldest samurai sword he had in the shop
case and the paperwork it's all in
Japanese hey I couldn't read it where
did you get this thing
I took it in trade on a vehicle which I
hope I didn't hurt myself too bad well
the paperwork looks awfully official
it's like 1500 era okay guy was really
old too traded it in so how much you
want for it
eighteen thousand $18,000 $18,000 you
know how to open this thing you gotta
push a button of some sort with this
usually they just slide out I know the
other ones I have up there do the pain
you have to push the pin out the guy
showed me but I didn't really pay much
attention
you didn't pay much attention but she
gave him a lot of money for it well yeah
not the brightest move but Rocco yes sir
how does this thing open typical Davie
he did a trade on this sword it had no
idea anything about it he should have
had it checked out especially when
there's so much money on the line
luckily I have Rocco he's like my best
weapons guy at the store and he
specializes in swords
oh boy so what is it it appears to be a
samurai sword find out if it's real I
actually have to pull the handle off
here
[Music]
this is what matters right here this is
the name of the master here
Yoshi sugu and then it matches the
signature here yep it was a prominent
sword maker from the late 1500s Japan's
metals were very limited so they would
pound and fold and make the strongest
blades ever compared to the poured steel
from medieval Europe Yoshi sugu is a
master that's pretty well known you've
made a really good sword what's it worth
it's a fifteen to twenty thousand dollar
sword what you think so I'll give you
ten grand for it can you take it to an
auction or something is there some way I
can get fifteen thousand dollars out of
this come on
not for me I mean even if you bring it
to an auction you get 15 grand they're
still gonna take like 15 20 percent I
mean I'll go like 12 grand man yeah it's
well let's trade something what are you
gonna trade for you got all the tacky
jewelry you know I've been eye hustling
your sand rail since you got it
we do something with the sand rail and
then I'll get a good fuzzy feeling like
I didn't get burned on the sword I took
in a four-seater sand rail about a year
ago I paid a little over 18 grand for it
had the transmission rebuilt and put
hours and hours of fun into this thing
let's go take a look at it yeah let's
take a look at it
you better have rock put that thing back
together before somebody gets cut all
right there it is been my buddy baby is
trying to sell me a really rare samurai
sword he wants 18 grand but I'm not
paying that much now he wants to try and
trade it for my Sam rail I love the
cooler up in the front can you get it
into reverse the Sun keeps reminding me
about when you broke down the
went out on it
I had the completely rebuilt
right so at idle it it's sort idle so
you don't I mean it's got a big blower
on it and everything else so right so
it's gonna buff out that map out yeah so
when you cruise around it's fine it's in
great shape I've got a blasted I'm had
it for over a year now yeah should we
start it sharpen all right I have a
little over $20,000 invest into this
thing but I know when I fired this thing
up Davey is gonna give me anything I
asked for it
[Music]
now that I have baby hope from this
thing I got to make sure I get my money
out of it no matter how bad I want that
sword well I definitely want to make a
deal so let's make it happen okay so
give me the samurai sword at 10 grand
samurai sword three grand
fifteen three eight that gives you 18
for this that's what I paid for it so
you've had it for a year you break even
I mean that's not business to break even
what do you mean this is our deal not
know I know like for grandi at the
rebuilt so I'll go five g's I'll
split the half of the with it
five grand samurai sword puts you at 20
G's no no I offered you 12 grand so that
makes me a 17 GS I'm still losing money
so give me the samurai sword Nate grand
that's like the best I could do
all right you got a deal all right ma'am
all right I appreciate it'll stay in the
family you know that okay all right
let's do some paperwork on I so I walked
in here trying to get $18,000 cash in my
pocket I ended up giving them $8,000
cash out of my pocket I don't know how
they do this to me but they do I guess
he is the better salesman well we got
it's a sword what's unique about these
swords they're from the Napoleonic Wars
that's cool
and what most people don't realize is
Napoleon that he was of normal height
there was some writings that people came
across later after who's gone that said
he was five foot three but that was a
town in France that still used an old
system where foot was 13 inches so
Napoleon wasn't short I'm here today at
the pawn shop to sell three of my swords
then from the Napoleonic Wars these
swords are special to me because they
represent a part of history I would like
to get $6,000 but I would take as low as
3,000 I promised my wife I would do some
landscaping these are cool Napoleon was
around late late seventeen hundreds up
till 18 15 the Battle of Waterloo and he
was born a cavalier slowly went up to
become the ultimate dictator and then he
was defeated he was a great general you
did not oppose Napoleon Oh bad things
would happen to you but the French
absolutely loved him long after he was
gone
to this day they still love him they
represent three different countries
this one is British okay this one is
Russian and this one is French when you
see the next toward the edge they means
that it was actually used in battle um
people say that okay that makes a great
selling point for things right but most
of these marks and sores are from when a
nine year old and an 11 year old go and
find grandpa's swords and they are out
of the backyard sword fighting that
makes a good point possibility they used
them in battle and everything went
mostly they were decoration so why this
thing looks pretty well worn right here
because it's called the drag
would drag the ground right I'm assuming
you want to celebrate have a like this
home okay infer to said I'm looking
around 6,000 okay I have no idea if
that's good or not do you mind if I call
up a friend of mine look at these so he
will know what they're worth and maybe
we're gonna get dealing there absolutely
all right hang out a few minutes figure
out where to spend the money on okay be
right back thank you
this sword is intriguing to me the
Prussian sword the interesting part of
the scabbard is it's got a name engraved
on it have you researched the name I did
I couldn't find anything on the name
well and that's you know it's
unfortunate of course that does hurt the
value because if you could be able to
say hey I've got records of this guy
that adds to the flavor which equals
provenance the British sword this is
kind of the pinnacle of desirability of
having one of these in their collection
look at the hill it's so cool King
George the third royal cypher and it's
got the Lions pommel very nice
the French sword the etching you know
they did acid etching and then they
would go over it with a gold being a
gilt the fact that there's any of this
remaining makes it desirable this stuff
wore off really easy okay so the big
question is what are these things worth
let's go back to the British sword if
you had a scabbard you'd be looking at a
three maybe four thousand dollar sword
as is it's a solid 1,500 to 2,000 dollar
sword the Prussian sword
same thing 1,500 to 2,000 because it's
got the name engraved on the scabbard
this has some kind of hidden potential
you might look them up if I know this
guy never went to one battle in his life
you just sat around in the kitchen in
France all that takes away the intrigue
that it might a bit of battle so right
there's a plus there's a minus there so
the last one how much is this one worth
French a solid 1500 to $2,500 sword
okay so you're saying for like the three
I can probably get around five grand
yeah I mean you're looking 4500 to 6500
thanks man I appreciate it absolutely
appreciate all three of these swords are
really great they're authentic wonderful
if Rick can get the right deal on these
swords they would be great for the shop
so what we take for them my bottom line
is 3100 Y 3100 not 3000 it's it's a
reasonable question in my mind this what
else I know you have to resell them I'll
do it at 3,000 but I cannot do a penny
less yeah I can make money then oh man
let's go do some paperwork
and oh yeah three new cool swords just
leave him here I'll have someone grab I
think it's a win-win I think that it was
a fair price for both of us
that's surprise for you okay over two
years ago I set a samurai sword to Japan
to get fully restored finally it's back
in the States
and my kit brought it to the shop today
I can't wait to see this today I've got
Rick's personal sword this sword was
made in the early 1600s during that time
there was a lot of one-on-one duels so
the blade has a different kind of shape
made to cut very clean and very fast
there we go sweet oh that's nice
no chip Center nothing came out perfect
no flaws it took a little while because
I had the best of the best work on that
for you in Japan it does look pretty
amazing the plate itself was made right
around 1500 right you know before it was
polished it's a little hard to tell but
after it's polished we can see the
detail more clearly okay early 1600s is
where we agreed after the polish okay we
changed the case into a new one
here and this is actually done with real
Japanese would Russia lacquer made out
of poison sumac we did a special handle
wrap in the old traditional way and we
did early 1600 fittings so we gave it a
nice new look the old traditional way so
what's it worth well since it's all in
perfect condition now without new
different set of fittings I'd say you're
looking at the sword value and around
the 35 to 40 thousand territory okay so
I mean sixteen thousands worth thirty
five to forty thousand I think I did all
right but it's not for sale I'll just
put in the case so what do you mean it's
not for sale
not for sale pretty self-explanatory
sixteen thousand dollars with the
merchandise it's our sale no it's
absolutely amazing um thanks a lot
appreciate it as a license do not screw
my sword up just go put it on display
all right hey what's up man how are you
doing buddy good I'm building this
weapons room in my house and what I'm
really looking for today is the sword
show me something good do you have any
samurai swords in your collection I have
some swords but no real ones you know
what we have a samurai sword over here
and we can trace it all the way back to
the samurai family that's perfect yeah
show me that one what's what are you
talking about the one your dad said
don't sell now I really wanted this
sword is from the 1600s it looks like it
was made just yesterday right the word
samurai
means to serve because you were there to
protect and to serve the emperor it was
one of the highest honors something like
this is $40,000 that's not the price if
that's the price $40,000 and they are
very hard to come by right
I'll give you twenty eight dollars man I
started a little high so I had a room to
negotiate but I think 35 is about where
I'm sitting
I'll go 30 don't look at me man this is
your big deal
30,000 huh I'll tell you what I'll take
this for 30,000 and I'll buy every one
of those swords that you showed me over
there too
so another 30,000 for the other swords
it's all on you buddy
you know what
that's a deal I can't refuse all right
it's gonna take me a little while to
package everything up so yeah can you
come back in a little while
done what's up why is my sword out here
you know you're not allowed to play with
it first off that is no longer your
sword I sold it this store sold the
sword for $30,000
plus an additional $30,000 worth of
stuff is the customer still here yeah
why don't you go tell him you can't buy
it I will
hey how you doing
not so many other what about my sword I
did it okay the fact that you didn't
want to sell it made me wanted more oh
yeah
took me two years for that sort of a pan
to get it back it's beautiful it's
awesome so have another storage spot in
or see that one yeah I was gonna ship it
off to Japan I actually like it like
this beat up and old how much that one
I'll take 10 grandpa had literally
belonged to a lord in Japanese Civil War
it's sort of their version of like
General Grant sort got it well I just
bought half the swords in the place huh
yeah great can we do nine
yeah I'll give you nine for sweet cool
and um lob cheong wrap this one up to
perfect
I love the whole Japanese samurai
tradition and the story and it's
beautiful sword so I couldn't refuse it
so I took that one too
what's going on there my man hey what's
up back again good to see ya
and I bring you the sword from Zelda um
it doesn't look like Excalibur that was
pulled out of a stone looks like it was
a pile of rocks actually got pulled out
of the rock it's just been sitting there
waiting there it was under a pile of
rocks wasn't pulled out of Iraq this was
in a pile oh I have a very old what I
believe is a Moorish sword from the 17th
century that was bad in a cave in
England
I'm looking to hopefully get 200 bucks
out of it if we're gonna are able to
make a deal I'm gonna take that money
put it into fixing my car and keep it on
the road so this thing is just an
amazing condition some people would call
this patina I call this rust
you know just clean up a little bit you
can cut your vegetables water man yeah
okay so so how much do you want for this
beauty
I don't know thinking maybe 200 bucks
let me call up someone who actually
knows what they're talking about
I got a friend in town and he will
hopefully know about this
I just don't know a lot about Middle
Eastern swords and apparently you don't
know I don't know let's get the expert
in here and see what okay I'm gonna go
give him a call and he's probably gonna
tell us it's worthless okay if it was
anybody else I would just say forget it
but over the years I've made a lot of
money off Spencer a lot more than he's
cost me so what the heck let's give this
thing a shot hey how's it going around
hey how you doing brother
good I've seen you for a while so
Spencer's a friend of mine and he bought
this sword and we don't know anything
about it
I mean you could tell it's middle
Easterner that's all I know about it
gotta take a look at Rick sure it's
definitely a pole wire from F Gaston it
was a one-handed sword could be either
hand and this end piece was created so
that it wouldn't slip out of the hand
while wielding it and the curve is in
the first third of the sword the reason
for that is because this was a horse
tack sword the warrior would be riding
the horse and slicing the enemy or the
other horses or whatever from horseback
and they didn't want it to slide out of
the hand okay so one was it made the
17th century it's a neat piece ok so
what's it worth as is 500 bucks maybe
but actually if I restore this for you
it'll be worth on the outside five grand
[Music]
and how much to restore it have 1500
bucks
ok thanks man I'll let you know thanks a
lot good to see it alright alright well
let me go get you 200 bucks just $200
not gonna happen
450 what there's not a lot of money to
be made here dude I know I gotta leave
you 250 350
I'm just come already cutting that low
come on
alright 300 ox
all right you better you better hook me
up on the next one man 300 all right
yeah sure yeah like you hooked me up all
the best I'll meet you over there dude
I'll see you over there
I only paid $15 for this piece so I'm
gonna walk out of here with a good
profit and the end I can't wait to see
what this sword looks like fully
restored put you by now what oh this
came in the mail for you I don't know I
get lots of things in the mail oh it's
my sword
you bought a new sword are you going
hunting with it with your hat and
everything er it's a 300 year old Afghan
pull wire about the thing I'm Spencer
with the Raider box and then I paid Dave
1,500 bucks to restore it
it was nothing but a bucket of rust when
I got it and he brought it all back to
perfect it looks cool enough 1,800 bucks
and what's the word it's worth 5000
bucks it's an amazing sword it's got
great history and like I always tell ya
all the values in the story this just
got a great story it's literally over
300 years old and now it looks like it's
brand new I'm not complaining it looks
like you did a good job I'm just more
concerned about the hat going for like
an Elmer Fudd thing or something or I
don't know I thought the Hat was cool I
bought it all right stop making those
decisions yourself put a good job on the
sword pops we go put this in case put a
tag on it
Afghan bulwark
I like that hey what's up how you doing
I have a samurai sword that my family's
had for a long long time I really don't
know much about it why is it made out of
wood got me on that one I mean it
wouldn't really do a lot of damage just
giant toothpick I'm here today at the
pawn shop to sell my sword my
grandfather brought the sword back from
World War two and it's been in the
family ever since I was looking to get
$8,000 for the sword if I walk out of
the pawn shop today with $8,000 I will
take my family on vacation to a theme
park in Florida so it looks like you
have a scabbard here but not the sword I
mean the handle looks pretty legit do
you know much about it at all now is
this for my grandfather he picked it up
during the war and I really don't know
anything more than that I deal with
samurai swords all the time but I've
never really dealt with just a case and
a handle for what it definitely looks
Japanese but you know one of the big
problems with stuff like this is these
things were passed down from generation
to generation it could be five hundred
years old it could be a hundred years
old I have no idea
they really do range from that kind of a
time period I really don't understand
why there's not a sword attached to it I
mean it definitely looks like a mounting
for a actual sword I just want to know
where the real swords at the handle
looks like it's made of silk the
scabbard I don't know what material is
that they used I mean it looks like wood
maybe so we don't know how old it is it
looks like it could actually be
something here I just don't know exactly
what it is so what are you looking to do
with it - sell it okay any idea of what
you're looking to get 8,000
you mind if I have a buddy come in and
take a look at it no I welcome me great
okay
hang out I'll be right back I'm totally
fine with someone coming in today look
at the sword I really would like to have
more information about where it came
from how old it is and what its value is
hey Mike what's going on man hey what's
up great how you been John good
oh what you got today a weird one it's
what appears to be an old scabbard okay
well actually this is common believe it
or not in Japan after World War two the
occupation MacArthur ordered all the
swords that get collected so that means
all the blades were turned in but the
mountains were okay to keep because
these run out against law they're not a
weapon okay and this is quite old
actually how do we know how old it is
well this style of mount is made in
southern Japan and this is known as a
hiegel mount which is from the area of
Kumamoto modern-day Japan and they were
very particular to make this style of
gold inlay work judging from the style
we can pretty much determine that this
whole package was from the early 1800s
oh wow
so what else can you tell me about it
interesting
this is very interesting maybe you get
lucky it's a hidden coin pocket no way
these are very rare to find intact now I
am a little bit of an expert those
aren't gold no no these are def not go
unfortunately at least somebody put some
reproductions in here and obviously kept
the real gold so why would they hide it
inside their sword like that you would
be afraid to get robbed so this was the
best place to actually hide your money
in that sense gotcha
a little holder like this could hold up
to ten thousand dollars worth of coins
okay um well too bad we didn't get that
lucky right but because of the rarity of
this this makes this set very highly
collectible okay how collectible well I
mean in excellent condition i dis
officialy with the addition of the
hidden coin pocket
now you're talking something very very
rare and special so this seem to be
worth an easy eight thousand dollars all
right well appreciate it Mike all right
take care
thank you see you later well I mean you
kind of hit the nail on the head of of
what it was worth that being said I've
got to make some money I'd like to give
you four cuz you come up a little bit
more than four can you go down from 8mm
six and a half
tell you what I'll do 5/5 seems fair
alright yeah thank you meet me over
there let's do some paperwork huh I am
thrilled to make a deal today for $5,000
it wasn't quite the eight thousand I was
asking for but I will certainly be able
to take my family on a nice vacation now
this is what we call a German two-hand
sword German two-hand swords are just
really hard to find it's hand forged so
it doesn't weigh a lot
it's about 67 inches long I'm gonna
start at about 20 mm and I don't want to
come off that too much so where did you
get it
came through an auction about nine years
ago that was the best two-hand sword
I've ever seen okay we have a F which I
don't know what it means 1628 I'm
assuming that's the year that would be
in the middle of the 30 Years War it was
basically happy Europe against the other
half of Europe who was either Protestant
or Catholic and they were killing each
other because their way of being a good
Christian was the wrong way of being a
good Christian just looking at this
sword tells you how brutal life was back
in the 16th and 17th century they
weren't actually called two-handed
swords till modern times back then they
preferred terms like battle swords
slaughter sword or some brute name like
that how much you looking to get out of
it I'm looking for about 22 thousand
items you all that stuff about the 30
Years War and everything I have no idea
what stickers worth that everything
looks right on it right
I'm gonna call it my buddy Craig I want
to get him down here to look at it
you sure okay yeah you've evaluated it
you know what you're talking I do
exactly what you have here but I don't
know what it's worth
Oh moly this is huge did you be careful
it's just so cool so powerful
a lot of names for these swords
two-handed swords broad swords the
Germans called it it's fight
hand-to-hands and it's meant to be used
in combat as a front-line weapon when
you first make contact with the enemy
okay imagine you've got enemy coming
towards you and you run in and start
moving this thing around you're gonna
lop off pull axe tops you're gonna cut
horses legs in half cut people in half
you're gonna penetrate the line cavalry
comes in behind and starts to you know
mob yeah exactly you know it's quite
effective but the really cool thing is
that it's light sling weighs ten or
fifteen pounds probably more towards ten
the hilt is so big too to provide
balance I mean it's basically look I
mean I can roughly perfectly balanced
with antique arms and armor it either
speaks to you or it doesn't a two-handed
sword is an incredible weapon it's an
epic piece of history you hold it in
your hand you close your eyes and you're
back in the 1600s okay it's first of all
it's very well marked and we give you
sort of a tour of what these marks tell
me okay you think that johannes memphis
it was the name of the manufacturer
no it's Johannes Holloway and it says
here's something really interesting it
says may facet Zola nyet Maiden's ole
again they still make knives there today
in Germany in the Ruhr Valley they're
making swords there since well before
1628 when the sword was made which is
what this is here sword is a couple
mysteries to me these initials I don't
know what AF stands for I don't think
anyone will ever now this is interesting
it's a Lorraine cross or at least it
should be okay short answer this is real
you are right it is old it was made in
1628
it's an incredible sword thank you
okay so what do you think it's worth
one sold at auction in 2010 for 7,200
pounds plus a buyer's premium of 20%
this is worth $13,000 that sounds good
it's worth a lot more it could be and it
really could be but it's subjective you
just don't know when all right but um
that's why I called in yeah thanks about
here Rick take care
not that you need help beat me down on
price know when you're holding a sword
like this leave now all right okay take
care thanks man
take care collecting is subjective
some people just collect swords some
people just collect German artifacts and
sew a sword like this could be
attractive to weapons collectors
historians anybody someone who wants a
cool man room put a sword like this in
your room that's the thing people are
gonna pick up right it's just not
something you can get anywhere and I
know that I mean I'm gonna offer you
like 10 grand for it yeah you know I I
couldn't come anywhere near that far
down my bottom dollar is 18,000
[Music]
I'd go 11 grand ah that's all I can go
and you 18 I'll take it and I think you
oughta it's a good deal I'll tell you
what I have your number if I change my
mind I'll call you
fair enough I'm happy to keep my sword
alright have a good one month thank you
sir
don't walk down the street with that you
gotta rest hey how's it going good how
you doing what do we got this is a Tory
Hanzo sword signed by David Carradine
who played bill in the movie Kill Bill
sweet love the movie David Carradine
played the can of a group of assassins
they all had really weird names Black
Mamba the whole snake thing was just
kind of silly yeah
these swords were signed by David
Carradine probably about 10 or 11 years
ago I used to collect swords but now
they're just collecting dust I'm looking
to get about 2,200 I want to sell these
swords because I'm hoping some collector
who loves the movies who loves Kill Bill
can properly display them in some
beautiful place kilvo couldn't it came
at a better time for David Carradine the
guy was pretty much broke Quentin
Tarantino just happened to be a kung-fu
hand and pretty much offered him a role
he didn't really get paid all that much
for it but it kind of brought him back
into the limelight where people were
actually paying him to sign swords and
do signings again yeah Kill Bill was
originally just supposed to be one film
but by the time Tarantino was done the
movie was four hours so the studio
released it in two different parts they
ended up being a really good decision
because both films killed it at the box
office so they're replicas yeah this one
is the demon sword which was Bill's
sword and this one is the bride's
rampage sword okay you mind if I take a
look at it now good okay the swords
aren't really much man they're made in
China and the blades made to look like
it's tempered it's not really - no thank
you
what are you looking to do with them I'm
Selim okay any idea of how much you want
for him 2200 okay that's a that's quite
a bit of money mm-hmm
I can tell you that before he died these
were going for about 80 bucks piece so
I'll tell you what let me have a buddy
of mine from a PSA come down and he
knows the autograph world better than
anybody and he can tell me if since he's
died if they've gone up that much or
what the deal is all right all right
Ryback hey that's good I think it's
great that an expert's being called in
because I'll get the signatures
authenticated and I might learn some
more things about this piece well I got
some signed David Carradine swords oh
cool um when you talk about like the 70s
cult classic type actors you know he was
a you know b-movie guy he did over 100
movies ended up being pretty popular I
mean he had the whole Kung Fu thing and
then once Kill Bill came out his
popularity went insane for a few years
and then he ends up dying in a strange
way yeah but you know people star really
into this guy David Carradine carries a
little weight within the autograph
community I mean he kind of went through
a period where no one really cared about
him and then he went through a big
explosion where he got popular again
after Kill Bill
he was really fan friendly so there's
still plenty of it out there in the
marketplace what are your concerns Corey
I've had the David Carradine signed
hattori hanzo replicas before he died
they were gone for like 80 bucks I don't
know what they're worth now oh yeah
that's usually the thing is amends up
going up in value I just want to do a
few things want to just take a look the
signatures make sure they're alive
all right that's the first one second
one same kind of exact pattern on there
definite life there's no doubt about
that looks like a sharpie the next thing
I want to do is just take a look at a
couple examples of his signature the guy
was pretty sloppy when he signed it so
very simple you could see here an
authentic example I see this big D here
and I'm starting with that you get the
heavy lean he curls in on both of these
C's and it's just kind of sloppy
so live Inc no problem with that
signatures matched perfectly definitely
authentic no doubt about that
okay so what do you think they're worth
well are these rare no are they cool
absolutely I put the value as a pair of
these right about $600
[Music]
it's better than what it was sure good
to see you here
Thank You yep good luck Thanks the thing
with the swords is I would classify them
as manufacturing memorabilia they're
really neat looking pieces and they look
like the ones they use in the movie but
it's just kind of a manufactured piece
and he sat down and signed them in a
production line so they're really not
that rare they're just kind of cool it's
a pretty big jump to 2,200 man yeah
really willing to take
you know it's unfortunately I didn't I
didn't really expect him to be worth so
little you know I would give you like
200 bucks for him yeah I don't know I
was thinking like you know 1,200 it'd be
like my bottom you know
1,200 I
we're not gonna be able to make a deal
now and I appreciate I appreciate it
thanks they've never given $200 that's
just way too low I mean I understand
where they're coming from but in my
opinion these are worth much much more
hey good afternoon a Calvary sword Civil
War officer sword model 1860 belong to
Colonel Bisset this is pretty cool it
was pretty cool I'm selling a model 1860
officers civil war sword
I found the sword up around Yosemite the
sword is in beat up condition
considering it went through 22 battles
I'm selling the sword because my wife
wanted a new kitchen and what I should
get what she wants
what's his name again Bessette okay do
you know where she office colonel
Bessette came into the Civil War as the
captain into the 17th regiment one of
the most highly decorated officers cuz
he went in his captain came out as a
brave general went through 22 skirmishes
and battles and was there at least
render there's no other sword it's seen
as much battle as this sword has seen
okay what do you want to do with this
I'm gonna sell it and how much you want
for it 20 grand 20 grand you wanna have
someone look at this no I would actually
welcome it all right I will be right
back of hang up okay
it is always nice to have an expert look
at it I'm excited to listen to what he
has to say it's history and that's what
excites me is to relive the history of
what these guys went through during the
Civil War the problem is I don't know if
it was used in battle and I know nothing
about this Bassett guy so I'm bringing
in the smartest guy I know because he's
always got the answers this is the sword
of the colonel that he says was later in
general okay this is the Colonel Bassett
that you called me that is the guy
Colonel Bassett I've never heard of him
you know one of the things about the
Civil War is there there are so many men
involved that a lot of officers sort of
drop off the radar you know you hear
about the real big-name ones and you
hear the ones that got some kind of
really cool name Stonewall Jackson or
something like that
Isaac Bassett there there's no cool name
there I'm curious what is your concern
about it it is obviously a civil war
sword I mean it's got his list of his
battles right here it's not something
it's got his name engraved on it it
would have been extremely unusual for
Bassett to have this done
you didn't engrave your own sword people
would give them to you given that this
is Colonel Bassett and it's ending it
with Gettysburg that makes sense
because he made Colonel in May of 1863
Gettysburg is July of 1863 so this was
probably given to him as a presentation
piece everything fits everything is
right and this is an absolutely original
Civil War presentation sword and you
don't normally find those I mean he's
saying that it's this was broken off in
battle and I don't think there's any way
to prove that
no because if this was done from
something hitting it you would see some
sign of bending it looks to me like it's
just a snap my guess is if something
like this had actually been broken in
battle there'd be a record of it he
would have made sure of that
okay you gave me all the information I
need and more I always try you're the
best man good to see you
very good to meet you thank you
unfortunately the sword is in terrible
condition because if it was in good
shape need to have people lining up
around the block that would want this
all right I'll tell you right now this
thing was in beautiful condition I'd
offer you $10,000 for it because you
have a Civil War general sword but it's
just the break in it just two tracks so
much in this shape offer you 2,500 well
I'm just gonna have to decline that okay
okay what's your best price yeah we're
too far apart
I completely understand but uh thanks
for bringing it man I really appreciate
it much appreciate your looking at it
okay the expert brought up two or three
facts that I was totally unaware of I
think I'm gonna continue coming up with
some more research and then I'll
probably put it back up for sale it's a
sword pistol that I thought you might be
interested in purchasing yeah so we have
a sword and a little pop gun that's
really gonna piss somebody off so today
I came in so that I could sell the sword
pistol to Rick if I can sell this today
I'm going to use the money so that I can
help refurbish my antique military truck
it's a project I've worked on for quite
a while I'm looking to get about $20,000
for the sword pistol it's really really
interesting I'm asking for it 20 grand
okay let me call someone I have a buddy
who that will know a thousand times more
than I know about this so I'm gonna make
a phone call I'll be right back that'd
be great
in German they call it a Hirsch banger
and basically it means it's a sword
pistol as you can see it was made to
kill wild boar once they were injured so
it was strictly for hunting this wasn't
a combat type piece royalty landed
gentry they go out in the woods they
would shoot it boar they'd injure them
they catch up to the boar and they would
try to stick it with the sword to finish
it off but if the boar was still moving
they could have the pistol to bring it
down as well because that particular
little teeny pistol looks like it would
just really pissed anything off
yeah well that's why the boar has to be
injured first this is late 1600s very
yeah or early 1700s probably more like
it in its day this was about the very
nicest Hirsh banger money could buy so
what does a super fancy hershberger go
forth well I would like to know if this
could fire if this could fire it would
show that it was truly built properly
and not just for show if not the value
drops quickly okay would it be possible
to fire this I think it's absolutely
necessary
so what caliber is this thing it's close
to a 22 it's a little larger than that
but I'm gonna actually put in a smaller
projectile
since it's so old I want to keep the
pressure inside the chamber low the
pressures too high it'll blow my hand
off slice it's not my hand so because
I'm going to lower caliber i patch the
projectile so it takes up the space
inside the barrel okay okay we're ready
all right so the idea is that that is an
injured wild boar I'm gonna finish it
off put it out of its misery so you'd
stab it a couple of times in the neck
ideally one two three then you step away
if it still wasn't dead or it started to
run away
whoa surprise me it worked
that was actually a good little
explosion for that little gun okay it
works it's real what do you think this
thing is worth I really like it it's
unique it's beautiful
it comes from London not from Germany
the silver grip with the negative space
I mean this has a lot going for it
you're not gonna see another one anytime
soon
the issue is what's the market for it
it's very specific it's hunting oriented
I think the realistic value in today's
market it's about twelve thousand
dollars okay sorry to disappoint
all right Rick good luck man for Savin
this your pistol worked it's not the
most powerful gun I've ever had but it
totally worked
it is rare but they're not a ton of
collectors out there looking for this so
it's a good buy for Rick at the right
price well you take for it twelve
thousand well that would make absolutely
no sense to me I'll give you seven I'll
go ten fifty there's no money at that
I'll go 75 hundred bucks I'd be like it
when you're not gonna find another one
like it well I know that I'll never find
another one exactly like your problem
find another 500 weird things I can buy
and make more money off of give me your
top dollar that's it that's it
it takes time self it's a little bit of
market
I think I can probably do better at an
auction or at one of the specialty shows
permit if you change your mind give me a
call all right ma'am thank you very much
for your time I'm okay with not making a
deal today because I think if I'd
settled today I'd regret it tomorrow in
the end I think I'm gonna make more
money on this is worth it just to see
Alex almost blow himself up
[Laughter]
[Music]
how you doing all right what do we got
here I've got some knives here okay
where we got Lucia
these are knives that I collected over
the past 40 years these were all
hand-picked I did not pay attention to
names
I bought them strictly just the art well
when you buy these things and you spend
a lot of the money on them
yes it's best to look at the name in my
collection I have a very artistic 14
knives if I'm gonna sell the whole
collection around $5,000 I came here
previously and I'm hoping I'll be able
to make some more money today the whole
thing is with knives like this they're
handmade they're hand hammered good
steel it's a lot of work when you do
this by hand remember it's steel it
doesn't really Bend easy what friends do
you got here I've got the Randle knives
okay
Randall's really cool he started making
times back in the 1940s sailors would
come in and buy the bottom he was in
Florida I think it was a port near by
and he really became popular probably
the most collected times in the United
States you got it I see you have a Lyle
yes this came out with the first Rambo
movie was made he called this Rambo
a real survival knife all the way down
to this part here opens up little
storage yeah there should be some fish
hooks and some matches there right a lot
of people first thought would be just
because it's a copy of a Rambo knife
would be cheesy but since this was
actually made by Lyle it's worth a lot
of money these are some pretty cool
knives and the brand-name ones will
definitely attract some collectors
especially the Rambo knife is just plain
bad ass show me the ones you're
interested in okay these are both
Randall's these two yes you sure this is
a Randall I thought I was sure that says
RB
what is RB you tell me every Randall
knife I've bought has always been
stamped Randall made in Orlando Florida
it's not the mark I'm used to let's put
this over the clown with the knives I'm
not super familiar with it okay
these right here are cool three-mile
knives enter Randall yes you want to
know what I originally paid for these no
I want to know what you want for okay
I would take 1200 for these four okay
you never really used them you just put
them in a drawer to put him on display
or something like that it was either in
display in my office and then later went
into a safe take a thousand and when you
ask me how much I wanted and I said
1,200
like I was serious about that you know I
normally don't do this but 1,200 bucks
is a fair price okay well I'll meet you
right over there okay one thing I have
to say is when I hold that Rambo knife I
feel like the modern-day Graham
and I'll miss that how you doing good
how are you today pretty good what do
you have here um something interesting
for you to look at today wow this is
pretty cool it looks like a tanto which
is basically a Japanese sword but it's
not a sword because the tanto is much
shorter a lot of times they would battle
on horse and you know if you were able
to knock someone off the horse you would
jump off you know pull up their helmet
and slice their neck because it would be
much easier than pulling out your long
sword and stabbing them I have a
Japanese wooden sheath that I'm trying
to sell today this she has a few marks
but overall it looks like it's in good
condition I'm hoping to get about $500
this is a very useful tool in war
it's weird cuz it's not sharp at all
interesting oh there yeah it's a little
sharp I guess it's just dull where did
you get it at I got it in a garage sale
thought it'd be interesting for my
husband's office and then I spoke to the
older gentleman and found out that he
was in the Air Force at one time and my
husband was as well that's pretty cool I
think he got a really good find right
here things like this would have been
brought over from Japan after the war it
seems like it's in good condition you
know do you know how old this is
I do not yeah I don't either it's
literally these have been around
thousand years this could be a couple
hundred years old it could be Wow a
thousand years I don't know do you know
how much you're looking to get for it um
I was thinking about five hundred
dollars okay
unfortunately this doesn't seem to come
off too easy
this handle should come off and there to
hopefully be some markings on the blade
which would tell us a lot more about the
story of this and maybe where I was from
and possibly even who could have maybe
owned it but I'm not really qualified to
take that off even though I do know
there should be something under there
because I don't want to break it and if
it is five hundred years old I'd hate to
be the one to damage it could I get my
guy Mike down here to come take a look
at this he specializes in all types of
swords and this would be right up his
alley if you have a few minutes I can
give him a call
come take a look he'll let us know if
this thing is worth $500 or $5,000 no I
appreciate that all right give me just a
minute all right thank you
Oh what do you think I haven't seen one
of those for a long time
truth is I know very little about it so
I called you down here because I just
wanted you to look at it and see what
you know about it do you have any idea
what this really is
it's a tanto right not really
okay if you notice on tanto the edge
would be on this side and would have a
point right I thought it looked a little
different what you have here is a very
unusual piece it has its own
classification actually not as a tanto
or a wakizashi but this is called a Hana
katana there was another type of art
that the samurai used to create peace
and tranquility in their life and that
was flower arrangement called a cabana
and this is called a hana katana which
is used for cutting the stems of the
flowers for arrangement it's not a war
knife no not so this is what for peace
but what I did notice see the pin is in
here and usually we could take it out to
see if it's signed by the maker
unfortunately sometimes when people saw
that something was loose or falling
apart in America the favorite tool is
glue no that's the enemy of all swords
so we might possibly damage the item by
removing the pin because it's glued in
so as is what could I sell this for
hands store oh you could sell it for you
know we're from 15 to 2,000 if we don't
do anything to it okay yeah
but is it possible to restore and get
more money for it it's possible a lot is
going to depend on if it's signed and
who signed it so you're telling me I
could buy this spend a couple grand
but find out there's no signature and
just be deeper and deeper in a whole
with Rick it's risky just like Las Vegas
hey I appreciate you Mike thank you
all right you heard what he had to say
what do you want now do you think you
could do mm I definitely can't do mm I
mean we're still looking at below the
1500 mark for sure because if I did sell
in this condition that's what I get for
it
would you take the 500 for it well not
after I heard that but I'm willing to go
for about a thousand I can give you a
thousand for it great thank you so much
appreciate it it's come up here
newspaper great I was really surprised
that I got $1,000 for it
and I'm very excited and I'll probably
use that money and put it into my
classroom what do we have well obviously
it's a mace put that down gently will do
okay do you know much about it
yeah I think it's probably from about
1550 1560 this is really intriguing this
is like one of the oldest weapons there
is and it worked
we're talking with 1500s I mean they
still wore armor just swinging this on
someone so I mean do you feel like
Braveheart just holding it the price
just went up
I've been here before so you know I felt
comfortable bringing something back in
here I collect medieval weapons a real
mace that's 500 years old is very hard
to come by I think that this pawn shop
will recognize it for what it is
yeah just like what like five six pounds
yeah so it's light enough so that I
could carry it right when you swing and
hit somebody with this thing it puts the
whole force of impact on one point
that's what they report
maybe this right here is the equivalent
of a bullet hitting it on the head this
hundreds of thousands of pounds of force
right there hit someone in the chest on
the ribs are gonna break ribs it's
someone in the leg they're gonna go down
you hit someone the head you're gonna
kill I love when old weapons like this
come to shop they not only appeal to
weapons collectors but just average guys
love these things and buy them they're
just awesome what do you want for it
yeah I was thinking about 3,800 the exit
paperwork I'm just unfortunately I don't
have any provenance know that other than
you know as it sits here okay no I know
it's real I like it but I would like
someone to look at it and O's a little
bit more than I do so I'm gonna call my
buddy Craig no can we just do a deal do
we this guy and Craig disagree on price
a lot both of them know a lot about
weapons but I always have to side with
the guy not trying to get a lot of money
out of me nice to see you yeah good to
see you nice pretty amazing no I'm
assuming it's an old mace I don't know
if this is 200 years old I don't know if
this is 600 years old very interesting I
will tell you when you look at a piece
of armor or a weapon like this there's
always going to be a chance that it's a
very well-made Victorian era
reproduction so is this one of those or
is it a weapon number one thing to look
at is that this is hollow you can tell
it's not solid and why is that okay a
heavier weapon you think is a better
weapon but no a weapon you can swing
faster is a better weapon it's white big
swords medieval swords are life just the
faster you can swing a weapon more
damage it's gonna do its physics you
have an idea where it was made
it's probably Italian or Spanish and I
don't think you're gonna find a proof
mark of any kind here because remember
this was mass produced another thing too
when you look at this piece look at
hitting you've got big pits little pits
pits within pits so this has been around
and it's been cleaned a lot and yes this
is old I would place this
1500s this is a weapon not a wallhanger
and that's what you want
we agree for once we're gonna like bury
the hatchet and go clubbing so what's it
worth all right I can tell you exactly
what it's worth 2,500 bucks
I disagree it's worth more than that
they could go as high as 4,000 I mean
you're right I'm still gonna value it at
2,500 doesn't mean you're not gonna get
35 you might not be able to sell it for
- it does display really well it's a
nice piece here's the real story Craig's
not coming in to help me make money he's
there representing the pawn shop you
know what's the difference I show up
with my friend he says it's worth 5
grand okay thanks brother Rick pleasure
I try to say what's this gonna auction
for on a reasonably good day and in this
case I've seen several maces like this
go for right around $2,500 so in this
case it's easy all right
maybe what's your best price on you know
I'd like to get about 3,500 for it give
you 18 under par for it that's like my
top top dollar yeah I might go for more
I might go for less I think it's really
really cool I really like it do you want
it oh I want it
let's do 2,900 and call it a day I'll
give you 2 grand
2750 I'll go 2 grand 27 - great I gotta
have more than 2 grand yeah the number
one thing you have to learn when you're
in this in this business it's a price
ain't right walk away well give it a
little bit we got a deal
tell you what I'll give you 20 100 I
will give you a penny more
2220 120 - no 21 okay all right yourself
amaze let's walk up front well write
this thing up the only reason I could
sell it for 2,100 I don't particularly
have that much in it if he's just buying
it for resale you know I understand the
man's got to make a little bit of a
problem hopefully some ice what hey how
you doing good how's it going this one
right here that one all right all right
check it out be careful with it it's
really sure I guess if you needed some
type of home defense and you couldn't
own a gun
this would be the thing to have there's
nothing in the world quite like a
Chinese sword and that's why this
company makes replicas swords like this
aren't made with a machine they're hand
forged they're works of art and thanks
to movies like The Last Samurai and Kill
Bill they've become really hot with
collectors the mezco oldest one is
actually it was only made in 2006 but
it's a little different it's made exact
specifications as the old ones are hmm
it's not one of those $19 cheap swapmeet
ones like it's all the brass fitting
there and Sabu is very nice comes with
the case we got the scroll here which is
the stupid elephant isset II so that
that's what you want let's let you know
that it's real really the only way
you're gonna be able to tell the
difference is just the quality of steel
that they're able to make now you know
they just got whatever they got out of
the ground back then and now they've got
the best steel they could possibly make
it these maggots all right away it's
applying carbon steel the craftsmanship
a little blade it's the thickness and
the sharpness of it the second to them
we asked were you asking for it right
now we're asking 1250 we bought this
sword about five months ago for $500 so
we have some time and money invested
that I'm gonna have to play hardball to
make sure we turn a profit
well I sweat through these through our
language people like 800 850 thing is
I've got it here and now love it these
guys online they'll charge 800 for it
and then they'll hit you with a few
under bucks and shipping stuff like that
if you want to make me an offer I could
probably do a little better just a
thousand dollars work
I can go down to a thousand smells a bit
you got a deal all right thanks we
always talk about waiting for the right
customer to walk in I knew he wasn't
going home without it
and we doubled our money so everybody
what what can I do it I have a Tomac
Chris Harris spear I'm looking to sell
yeah what'd it say it's an Indonesian
Chris definitely does look like
something out of The Hobbit yes today
I'm here to sell a Tomek Karras Chris
Indonesian spear if a person was to
appraise it
it would prey somewhere in the eight to
ten thousand dollar range I'd like to
get somewhere in the 3,000 dollar range
if I sell the spear today I have a story
that I'm going to be opening and I'm
gonna use some money towards that it's a
pretty rare piece somewhere in the
neighborhood of two three hundred years
old done in silver it's got genuine
rubies and sapphires on it so what else
can you tell me about it where'd you get
it well I had a bad case of the antique
pox in the 1976 and I never got over it
and I just collected and bought stuff
this actually was purchased in Malaysia
what makes this one so special is the
gemstones are all original yeah Jim's
are definitely real any idea why it's
shaped like that
sir a purpose behind that there is in
their culture these were used for
execution and fighting they would stab
the people and they would die fairly
quickly because of the shape of it but
the main purpose of the Chris is it's
mythical powers when I bought this one
he proceeded to point it out a gecko on
the wall and the Gecko fell off the wall
okay I mean it definitely looks like
something that would be in Lord of the
Rings or something so i can assume why
people would say it has magical powers
what are you looking to get out of it
man it's worth a lot of money but you
know what I really need I need to get
around 3 grand for the piece the value
in the stones are worth more than that
but I just need it I need to sell it
quickly
do you mind if I have a buddy of mine
come down and check it out absolutely
bring the best person around they
they're gonna like this piece well
hopefully if I do buy it it's a good one
not an evil one I've had nothing but
good luck with us so far all right I'll
be back to take a look around thank you
if this man is truly an expert I have no
problem at all with him looking at it
because this worked well more than what
I'm wanting I don't really believe in
magic but I do believe in money so I
called my buddy Dave to come down and
tell me what it's worth
Chris knives crisp blades are a lot of
fun because there's a lot of symbolism
that's tied up in them they're often
considered sacred a lot of times because
the pattern-welded metal is made out of
a meteorite steel so basically it's a
gift from the gods now is this
considered a spear or a sword it's a
spear in that shape of that blade once
it cuts you it creates a wound Channel
that's pretty hard to fix so they're a
pretty devastating weapon when you see
them used they told me this piece was
two to three hundred years old too
I couldn't tell you for sure a lot of
the blades get remounted and remounted
and remounted you know looking at this
piece you know I can see where they've
done some repair work there's some
little glue ports of portions where the
wire has been glued back down and it's
possibly been restored up around here
but all in all the workmanship on this
is fantastic in your opinion what do you
think it might be worth at auction I
know you can get a solid 20 300 for this
okay um I can work with that I
appreciate you Beth thank you thank you
for sharing that yes thank you so I know
you were looking to get 3,000 bucks for
it man you do have something really cool
here I am the silver works pretty good I
mean we do have some damage but it is
old I'd offer you around 1,500 bucks for
it if I could take this piece off I
would say that'd be fair
how about 2,800 I do 18 I gotta I gotta
make money - I understand it's not as if
I can just flip this tomorrow I wasn't
gonna walk out of here with anything
less than 25 how about we do two and we
just close the deal right mm I can do
that I'm gonna do all right come with me
let's just favor I'm thrilled that we
were able to come to a agreeable price
and I'm just glad that this good luck
sphere is going to reside here at the
pawn shop now
you
