what's up y'all Walla moose here and I
know it's been a while but it's good to
be back and today I've got a good video
for you so a year ago I created a video
on how to connect your Etsy store to
your Facebook page but of course
Facebook and Etsy don't have the best
relationship and so since then that
video is outdated and some things I
talked about don't really apply it
anymore because of Facebook updates and
I said I would make an update video but
I guess I'll let it fall through the
cracks but thankfully one of my
subscribers called me out on it so I'm
making that video now and I've done a
lot of research going into this because
there aren't too many options for Etsy
sellers in conjunction with Facebook but
I think I found something okay so let's
jump into it and I'll show you what I
found alrighty so we're here in Facebook
and in my previous video I talked about
how you can add a button to the top of
your Facebook page but if you'll click
on that now you'll notice that Facebook
has gotten rid of the shop now option
button they replaced it with view shop
and the problem with that is view shop
we'll now go to your Facebook shop and
not your external link and I think this
is Facebook's way of keeping everything
internal and keeping people from leaving
the platform but don't worry I did find
a different way to do it so if we go
over to business.facebook.com which is
your business portal for your Facebook
page and if you have a Facebook page you
should have a login so on the home page
you should have a tab over here if you
have multiple Facebook pages you can
select which one of everyone your Etsy
Shop needs to be associated with and we
can hit this little hamburger button
which will pull up all tools and at the
very bottom we'll see Commerce manager
so click on that all right and so this
is where we are going to set up our
account we're going to link them
together so we need to add account and
you'll notice over here on the right if
you go to sync a partner platform
Etsy is not one of the available
platforms that syncs with Facebook now
if you're watching this in the future
feel free to click that link and see if
they've updated since then but if you're
watching as of present day there is no
Etsy option so we're gonna go back so go
ahead and hit next down here and we can
start the process so when you check out
on Facebook or when you view listings on
Facebook you can either check out
directly on Facebook or check out on
another website either one is fine I'm
gonna do checkout on another website
just so I can show you something later
so once you select those hit next and
select the Facebook account that is
associated with this shop so it says
already have one connected I'm just
going to choose kind of a throwaway
account uh let's do this one
so hit next Once you select it and you
need to confirm the email that you used
okay now you can add a catalog name I
would just name it whatever your shop is
I'm just going to do test
catalog that's fine
um and hit next
now here's the important part and the
part that pretty much connects it all
together so if you'll notice here if you
go back to Etsy and pull the domain URL
of your Etsy store if we go back here
and type it in you'll notice that
where's the enter button
um it says website has already been in
use and that's because it's reading
etsy.com as your domain and obviously
there's millions and millions of Sellers
and so it's not your domain so what
we're going to do is we're going to
delete this last part take the name of
your store put it before
Etsy
Dot and that should be good right there
oops you need to delete shop as well
so if we highlight this and check it we
can go over to an empty tab copy and
paste it and it should take you to the
shop of yours and it does so now
whenever we select this uh Facebook
reads this as your domain and it should
be good to go so let me hit next fingers
crossed and it worked oh keep in mind if
you sell digital products Etsy or
Facebook does not allow you to sell
digital products on Facebook so
unfortunately you can't connect them
together I would just go back to the
button on the Facebook page and do like
learn more or something but if you sell
physical products you're okay so we're
just gonna do ship to United States next
and preview make sure everything looks
good I am not going to submit it because
this is just a for the tutorials I
already have one set up but you're going
to finish setup and it'll be in review
now it could be in review for about a
day or two sometimes it's really quick
sometimes it takes longer depending on
the season but once you do that under
your Commerce accounts it should say or
wherever it takes you it should say
verify your domain and so what you want
to do is they're going to give you a
piece of HTML code that is your tag that
assigns that verifies the domain so copy
and paste the HTML I don't have it here
because again I didn't really set it up
and we're going to go over to Etsy and
in your shop manager that's embarrassing
only only one sale not a good week for
me but we're going to go over here to
settings Facebook shops and it will give
you a place right here where you can
connect that HTML from Facebook and so
it should say like meta Facebook domain
verification and then you connect it and
then after you do that you'll go back to
Facebook and there should be a button
that says verify verify it and it should
be good if you've put it in Etsy
correctly okay and then after you verify
after a few minutes your product should
sync automatically sometimes it doesn't
work sometimes it does if it does not
work don't worry about it you can
manually
list your or Etsy listings onto Facebook
it just takes a while but hopefully
you'll get lucky and they'll connect
automatically but after you do all that
if you go back to Commerce manager
you'll see your catalog right here and
if you double click it it will take you
to the com the expanded Commerce manager
where you can see your products so let's
just go to catalog over here hit on
items and you should have all your items
in your shop now if there's anything
that doesn't pop up just go to add items
and you can manually create an item just
like you would on Etsy
