this space is similar to fba but it's a
lot simpler
it's a very that's why i like it as a
very newbie friendly
business model
[Music]
hello everybody and welcome back to
another video today i have a special
guest who's going to talk about
another way to build an income on amazon
but you don't need physical inventory so
we're going to get into that and my
guest of course is mr stefan
james stefan how you doing man fantastic
man how are you doing
i'm doing great and what a great honor
it is to finally have you
come to the marketplace superheroes
channel after you being
literally one of our greatest partners
in the world we have so much to thank
you for
it's great to have you here telling us
about something we can do on amazon
rather than the other way around it's an
honor man and i've seen what you've done
you've done a such an amazing job
building your channel
and reaching so many people and helping
them build their business so
um yeah you know we've known each other
for years now it's just been awesome to
work together
and uh now to have a chance to speak to
your audience yeah man absolutely and
we're gonna have lots more projects
coming in the future everybody so
do watch this space but for today we
haven't quite revealed what we're gonna
talk about yet and i'm going to let you
decide when you want to do that so
i want you to give us the background to
the thing we're going to talk about
today another way to build an income on
amazon
without physical inventory so whatever
way you want to take this stephan
let's get into it yeah sure well maybe
i'll start a little bit with my my story
and kind of how i discovered this
um i got involved into trying to figure
out how to make money online
gosh maybe over 10 years ago and i was
young in my 20s trying to figure it out
i was struggling financially i was
actually living on my friend's
couch at one point because i got into
credit card debt
and i realized i need to make a
sacrifice cut my expenses
and i was learning about internet
marketing and passive income and kind of
getting into that world
um i was going through courses and
training programs and didn't know who to
trust
who to listen to but i just had an open
mind i was trying almost
anything that i could and i first kind
of started with
uh blogging because back then this is
before social media i was you know
writing
uh i was creating these little blogs and
writing these articles on
um the blog to rank them in google
because seo was a big
strategy back then to get organic
traffic yeah
and i started making some money with
that and how i made money was i was
doing affiliate marketing so i
for example created some um blogs and
articles around specific products and
try to attract people from google and
then lead them into
the product they clicked the link buy it
i made some money doing that
now i was doing okay with that but it
didn't really last it was up and down it
wasn't consistent
google changed their algorithms and my
income got wiped out it's very
frustrating
but eventually what i came across was
amazon
as many people do um amazon originally
was a bookstore
um and um i was
kind of looking at the ebook space and
realizing hey you know what i've got all
these articles that i've written and
many of the topics i was writing about
were
self-development so how to build your
confidence how to boost your self-esteem
how to
set goals for yourself morning rituals
time management
overcoming procrastination all these
topics that for me myself
i was learning myself i was trying to
improve myself to create a better
quality of life and i decided i can
write articles and
create content on this um and i saw just
how popular ebooks were
on the internet i actually had written
an ebook
at another point it was more of a dating
ebook because
um oh you know going back many years
before that i was a dating coach and
trying to improve my social skills and
confidence i wrote an ebook
i was trying to sell it on a sales page
um very difficult to do especially as a
beginner marketer because to create a
sales pages you know you gotta
know copywriting funnels uh collect the
payments deliver the product
customer support there's more pieces to
that and so
i had many different things that i was
trying and doing but this amazon model
was
uh becoming more attractive for me and
so i decided you know what why don't i
just take some of these articles i
already written
compile them together in an ebook and
you know put it up on amazon see what
happens yeah and i did
and i was surprised to start making
money from that and it was a lot easier
to make money from that compared to
everything else that i was doing
and that was because as you know
amazon's a search engine people go there
they search for
keywords and they're looking to buy
something versus what i was doing
with writing all this content putting it
up on a blog was i was attracting people
that weren't really looking to buy
something they're just looking for
information
for sure and so just that that going in
that direction
and creating an ebook that was kind of a
big aha moment for me at the time
because i was able to make money faster
than i did before not that it's a get
rich quick i had many books i published
did not make any money from whatsoever
but it really opened up a new door new
opportunity for me
um which is something we can talk a
little bit more about so there we go so
we've revealed the secret is out stefan
we're gonna be talking about
publishing ebooks on amazon and so yeah
it's interesting
because number one like i i think it's
so interesting about you is
you've been doing this a long time
you've been on the internet a long time
building businesses
uh you know like how long are you doing
this now i don't even know you're you're
you're
you're starting because i know your
channel is about eight years old nine
years old about that
right yeah about eight and a half years
now um but for youtube
which yeah i'm like a dinosaur in that
space that was before youtube had
advertising on their platform and
all of that but um before that uh it's
got to be over 10 years now
yeah and uh i kind of went through that
initial phase i think as
some people might where you're just all
this is new it's very life-changing to
discover this especially if you kind of
grew up
having a nine-to-five and kind of been
programmed
based on you know getting a job going to
school retiring when you're older
type of thing and um once i discovered
this world
i just knew i had to do whatever it took
to figure this out
and i was open-minded to trying anything
learning from everyone
uh got into some trouble made some
mistakes but i learned from every
mistake and every experience that i had
and i found that it just kind of opened
up many different doors of opportunity
and eventually i found some that
worked really well for me yeah i love it
it's just interesting because when you
were starting into this uh
this space i was starting in the fba
space and funny horror paths have gone
across to this point in time
and i think uh just with that in mind
like i mean some people are obviously
watching this video today
some are already selling on amazon some
are considering it not at that point yet
so like what's what what is the
opportunity here as such obviously you
took a lot of your articles you turned
them into books and you sold them you
made some money
is that still the same opportunity today
has it changed
what what should people be thinking
about when looking at getting into
something like this
for sure well i think i mean the
opportunity is it's better than it's
ever been simply because amazon's grown
so much
and so more people are going to amazon
buying on amazon
physical bookstores are becoming extend
extinct
so the markets are much bigger the
opportunity is bigger but it's also
as you know also more competitive as
well so that's something that does come
with
the growth and as opportunities grow um
but it just really means that strategy
has changed and if you have the right
strategy going into it
you'll succeed no matter what the
landscape is um
so um you know amazon you know you're
the model that i did of just kind of
taking articles and putting them up
there
that is not something you can really do
anymore because amazon wants unique
content and not content that's already
out there on the internet
but the way that i kind of approached it
when i was getting started in my journey
i never even looked at or thought about
fba um primarily because the cost to get
started with it
um you know it does cost money to have
inventory shipping the products and
and upfront cost and so for me i was
more attracted to the digital
space and um the opportunity that that
publishing a book provided for me was
the fact that there's really
no cost involved um i can write the book
myself if i want to
um i can get a cover design in fact
the platform of where you publish is
known as kdp kindle direct publishing
so that's similar to amazon seller
central but a different
platform that they have and they even
have a book cover creator that you can
use for free
so as long as you have a book file and
as long as you have a book cover
you can upload that to amazon it'll be
live on their website within 24 hours
and you can literally be making money
the next day from that and i've had many
cases of some of my books and some of my
student books where that's been the case
yeah not always i want to make that
clear that's not a typical result but
that is
what is possible just showing the speed
of that
um but also one thing that i realized
and this is where the opportunity really
blew up for me was
um what was limiting me in my business
was having it be so dependent on me
because i was writing the books myself
and i'm not really
a writer um when i eventually realized
that i could
hire a writer that i can work with ghost
writers and there's
many out there that are talented writers
and especially during a time like this
where there's
you know so many talented people out
there that are writers and do a variety
of things that are looking for work
opportunities to work from home but i
could work with those people
and i could either pay them a flat fee
for a book
and i own the rights to that and then
i'm a publishing company and i could
take that i could publish it make money
from it
or i could even partner with writers
because there's a lot of writers and
authors that
are not have no idea how to publish they
had no idea how to market
and so i really realized those are my
skills publishing and marketing
and just like the biggest publishing
companies in the world penguin books
simon schuster uh harpercollins
these are publishing companies they they
leverage and work with
the talent with writers that's what it
really blew up for me because then that
allowed me to scale
i could publish many books in many
different markets
and each book that i put up on amazon
was its own piece of real estate its own
piece of passive income that could grow
and make me money month after month and
that's kind of what happened for me i
published many different books
some of them failed because i just kind
of experiment and try to figure out what
worked
but that's kind of how i developed a
system and a model that eventually was
able to help
other people with and show them based on
all the experience that i had
that makes total sense because again for
anybody watching you're thinking ghost
writers that sounds a bit weird
at the end of the day like a lot of
people who write their own memoirs and
whatever
they all have a ghostwriter they don't
nest they don't write the book
themselves
typically now sometimes that is
different many cases that's that is the
case just number one
but i love what i said about a
publishing company because again one
thing i will say
is most authors they're a technician so
they're
knowledgeable in a very specific area
it's a very minor area but as you
mentioned
the marketing end of things is something
that a lot of those people are not well
versed in
so i actually see a double opportunity
over time which is like
step one get them published over onto
amazon get some people reading their
books
you make some money that's great step
two potentially
you could help those people build more
of a more robust online presence down
the line you can help them
you know maybe even develop some
marketing around their other products
then as people come into their world
from
the amazon traffic so i think as well
there's a big back end potential to this
when you're when you're when you build a
publishing company in the right way
would you agree
absolutely and there's kind of different
ways you can go about it
looking at it as a business so one way
is you can go with a model of being a
publishing company
you hire ghost writers doesn't have to
cost a lot of money in fact
one thing that i've done and a lot of
people do is they start with shorter
books
because i think a lot of people have the
the misconception sometimes that a book
has to be 300 pages
it has to take a year to write and
create not the case that's why i think
for me
i took the model of i'm just going to
compile together a bunch of blog posts
this is still going to be incredibly
valuable for someone
but each blog post which is by the way
what people like tim ferriss
gary vaynerchuk people like that have
done now where they've even taken
episodes of their podcast of a variety
of guests transcribe it turn that into a
book
um but i realized you know i could
publish shorter books
50 pages and i don't have to you know i
can sell it for three dollars as a
kindle version
10 maybe for a paperback version yeah
and um and then if it sells well and
does well i can add to it i can make it
better and better and better which i've
done in many cases as well
um so going that model where you have
maybe a variety of books
that you publish in a variety of
different markets as you said the person
can be the expert
or they can be the researcher and if
it's a more generalized topic they can
research and put together a book on that
topic for you
you could be as hands-on hands-off if
you know as you like
you could take the route of if you want
to be the author
of the book and you can have a
ghostwriter interview you which is the
model that
you know celebrities and and public
figures take as they
are interviewed and then the um ghost
writer creates the book based on that
so the ghost writing opportunity is what
can make it very attractive to scale it
um but it's you could publish books and
you can make some good income from that
one thing i'll say just because your
audience is more familiar with amazon
fba
this is not a business model to be
honest where you're going to make six
figure seven figures it's very difficult
to scale it because they're more low
ticket products they're books
being sold for less than twenty dollars
but what i realized and especially when
i was first starting my journey
i wasn't after six or seven figures i
was just after
making a couple hundred bucks a month
you know and for a lot of people that
could be really life-changing for them
couple hundred or a couple thousand
dollars a month
and i've got many students that make
three thousand a month five thousand a
month
a thousand a month and it just
complements their their income and
they're more than happy with that
yeah but the other opportunity of it
that i realize is that each book that
you publish
is a lead magnet so you're acquiring
customers of people that
find your book on amazon they read your
book
but you can then funnel them into your
email list
or you can funnel them into your
website or to your physical product you
might have on amazon
so it's a great trip wire is what we
call it in marketing or like a low
ticket product that can establish some
trust and goodwill
when people acquire leads and you could
build a list from that
and i've i've built my business project
life mastery
as one of the you know that was one of
the strategies because i had all these
self-development books
i'd always linked to my website i would
send them a free training to get their
email address and then i could share
with them more products i could share
with them products i'm an affiliate for
um
and just opened up many more doors when
i looked at it that way rather than just
selling low ticket products so i think
there's different angles of what you can
go about it can
fit into almost any business that you're
in yeah well i think that absolutely
and i think for a lot of the people
watching today just they're selling on
amazon that's what they want to do like
if you're making one or two grand a
month from this
that's great because at the end of the
day one or two grand a month you get to
that level like that's
that's one maybe two products new
products a month potentially in your
business so
nothing wrong with that whatsoever i
think that makes a lot of sense
also uh your other comment about it
being a somewhat of a lead magnet again
why it's different from physical
products in many ways is with when
you're writing a book
like it's kind of standard practice that
you will put in your website it's
standard practice you let people know
where they can get more information more
resources
so obviously that makes a ton of sense
there as well so what i wanted to say
was like
a lot of people are watching and they're
thinking this all sounds great i totally
understand
that i can make money doing it in a
number of different ways which again we
will let people know
about an amazing program you put
together about this shortly
but for me it's like let's say i'm
starting out from scratch can we walk
through a little bit of like
as someone who maybe they feel like
they're not an expert in something
they're just interested in getting
started online
can we walk through a little bit about
what they might look to do with
something like this stuff and what the
business might look like for them
yeah for sure i mean i think first you
know as you know that the research
process is so important so
looking on amazon for the niches and the
topics that
are in high demand uh they have a high
potential for profitability
um this space is similar to fba but it's
a lot
simpler it's a very very that's why i
like it as a very
newbie friendly business model not many
logistics involved
um a great way to get started and and to
learn how amazon works and then
eventually take that experience that you
have and then get into fba with it
um but the research process is so
important i think a lot of people
you know when they they create a book
they have this great idea
they think oh my gosh great idea
everybody would want this you know i
want to
share the story about my life and
everybody would love this book
that might be true but the problem is if
there's no market of people looking for
that
on amazon then it's going to be an
uphill battle to try to get in front of
those people and sell it so
i always take the path of least
resistance i like to do research and
know what's already selling
what are those topics um and there's
different research
tools available similar as there is in
the fba space i can give you that data
from amazon
so that's that's really one of the most
important things is finding that market
finding that niche yeah once you find
that
um and it could be something again that
you are
interested in writing yourself or you're
an expert at or you're not
but you can find someone that can write
and create the book for you so
different opportunities there so uh once
you know that
then the cover and the title is really
the
the two key things to having success on
amazon
uh the cover as you know something that
it's like your product image what people
are gonna see
um they click on it uh it has to be
attention grabbing
it's kind of similar you know as running
an ad on facebook you know that
image is what people what's gonna grab
someone's attention and you really got
to do a great job with that
um you can hire a graphic designer to
create the cover for you on websites
like fiverr.com
get a cover done for 10 or so um so
that's a that's a cost but it's a pretty
inexpensive one and then of course the
book
and so deciding based on that market
do you want to you know what kind of
book do you want to come in with to
position
yourself a little bit differently um
you can decide if you want to do a
longer book or a shorter book
yep i've often recommended for some
people especially for those that
procrastinate or have a lot of fear to
start with something shorter because
the great thing about a book at any
point you can add to it you can improve
it
um and that and the great thing about
this model is that
you're selling a digital ebook which can
be updated at any point
or it's a physical paperback book but
what kdp does is they have print on
demand so at any point
they're not they're not storing all this
inventory for you that you have to pay
it for upfront and then store it in a
warehouse
yeah it's only print on demand so when
someone makes an order they print it and
then they ship it to that
customer for you so starting with
something shorter
can at least mitigate your risk so that
you don't feel like oh my gosh i'm
spending you know all this time or all
this money what if it doesn't work out
you can start it on a smaller scale you
can even sell your ebook for 99 cents
and just
you're not going to make much money from
that but just see whether or not it
sells and then once it does
then you can really invest a lot more
into that
um but yeah it would just be going
through that process
and once you have that you can put it up
on amazon it'll be available
all over on every amazon platform you
can have it
available on the us canada australia
all over europe every platform which is
great because you can just distribute it
everywhere
and then you know based on um there's
you know variety of ways to market it
they do have an amazon ads platform
similar to
fba so you can run ads to your book as
well as you know decide if you want to
branch out
similar to myself and build a blog build
your brand and have your book be one
part of your business
and kind of use everything else you
build your social media
whatever else to help promote and build
up that book that's great
that that would be the process i like
that deciding if you want to funnel
people into the next thing or just rinse
and repeat that
to create more and that's what a lot of
my students have done once they've
had success with one books or two books
they rinse and repeat
you can have a whole portfolio of books
published in uh all over amazon
that's awesome and again i think a
really important thing i want to stress
to everybody is
you don't have to be the expert stefan
will teach you how to how that works
that process
which again i know it's a lot a lot of
people myself included i probably would
have said that many years ago
i was working in an office job for
crying out loud and i wouldn't have
known any of this
but having someone like you on board to
teach is is obviously a really important
thing
so so with that said like you know
global selling
these products as well which is huge um
and this is something i'm learning from
you like i'm very new to this world
myself even though
i buy tons of ebooks on amazon all the
time my kindle is overflowing with books
i think as well another big thing is we
have the kindle app on our phone now as
well which obviously
has made it really big for distribution
again i'm learning so
with that said like for anybody who's
interested like i'm obviously
i'm aware but if they're not aware what
what have you got for a stephan to show
everybody
how to do this the right way and what's
involved and stuff like that and i'll
come back and ask you a couple more
questions but i'd love to
i'd love for you to tell everybody a
little bit about your program because
you've been working at this now for
a long time i know and it's finally here
so
let's talk about it yeah well the course
that i created is called mastering book
publishing
and it's a step-by-step course so it's a
video training where
you know each module each video is
broken down in detail you're literally
over my shoulder looking as i do
research on amazon
create a book um you know there's a
variety of i show how to find a
ghostwriter or even book writing
services there's many companies that
i've worked with that
have writers and they have editors all
of that to make sure you get a good
quality of book
as well as the cover every step of the
process i break down in detail
to being a complete beginner never sold
anything on the internet before in your
life to having a book published on
amazon
making you money so it's a pretty
in-depth course it's a course that
i originally started teaching this many
years before
uh through another uh because how i got
into teaching this i'll share that real
quick
sure good once i started having some
success with this
often one thing that happens is your
friends or family they want to know
how you're doing this and so you start
teaching them showing them
they start having some success which is
really cool i was also doing some life
coaching at the time
uh in the self-development space and a
lot of my clients that were paying me
for life coaching were
curious how are you making money online
how are you making passive income so
they i kind of converted them and they
started you know hiring and working with
me to
teach them this model yeah but to be
honest with you it wasn't really a model
i'm really
passionate about you know teaching for
the rest of my life and so
a lot of what i was teaching was very
repetitive
yeah on these one-on-one calls and so i
eventually realized you know what let me
just create a course
um because i can offer that at a much
cheaper price i can reach more people
and that's where i started teaching and
creating a course that went in depth for
this
that's a course that i've been doing for
many many years now but mastering book
publishing
uh this year i just revamped the whole
thing and made a brand new course
based on what's working today and uh the
strategies
are there's so many more strategies
available today than there was before
yeah there's so much more that you can
do that i've learned over the years with
it so
um so yeah i was really excited to put
this together and put it together in a
very affordable rate
for anybody to be able to join um
because you know
like you you know i promote amazon fba
and other business models i think there
are
greater opportunities out there if you
have the money to invest in it and
a bit more time on your side but i
realize there's so many people that want
to gain
experience and start selling on amazon
but they just are always held back by
that money thing and i was like you know
what
i was in that position living on my
friend's couch um i want to make this
available for everybody to be able to
afford
and that's why i put together this
course and and kind of position it
in a way to make sure that um anybody
can get started
and and and learn learn this world of
marketing learn how amazon works and if
they
have success with your book awesome i
love that many people do
but if not what you're learning is going
to benefit you for every other business
opportunity
that you get into especially amazon fba
yeah i fully agree and by the way
everybody the link is down below in the
description and in the pinned comment
stefan's put together a great deal for
all of you guys because obviously
uh he's big part of our world as well so
go down below right now we'll come back
to that link shortly and tell you more
about that again
go and grab it now i highly recommend it
because one thing i wanted to say about
this
as we're chatting it's like you know i
see it now i interview members of
marketplace superheroes every week now
right
so every friday we put out a case study
on our youtube channel
and one of the things i know stefan
which is interesting is like you would
think
the huge success stories are the ones
that motivate people the most and
they're actually not
it's the opposite it's the people just
starting and they made their first sale
or their first 500 in revenue and i
think this is a similar
full model in that like you just said
like you're not looking to make a
hundred grand a month doing this but if
you could be making one
two three grand a month or more like
the the feeling of your first sale on
the internet
is massive i mean describe can you
remember your first
ebook sale whenever you put it together
on what what
book or a set of uh articles was that
for do you remember
yeah i remember that well actually it
was um
it was my dating ebook that i'd put up
okay and i had
such a hard time trying to sell this
ebook on a sales page
and yeah do that whole model and trying
to get the traffic to it versus just
putting it on amazon that was
already had the traffic already had the
customer trust
and that goodwill but i remember yeah
getting that first sale
and it was such an insignificant amount
of money but what it symbolized
for me was really the game changer
because it
made it validated that this whole thing
works because i think
when you're first a beginner and you're
kind of watching videos like this and
you hear these crazy stories
of people you know quitting their jobs
making
hundreds of thousands of dollars there's
maybe a part of you deep down inside
you're like i don't know if i can do
that i don't know
if that's real yeah and once i made that
for sale
it it made this real for me it was the
fact that someone
from somewhere in the world i have no
idea who they are i didn't really even
have to do anything
new attract i don't even know their name
i don't know their
circumstances but they found my book and
they bought it and
amazon kdp deposited that money in my
bank account
and i was like oh my gosh that's that's
incredible and one thing i learned from
a mentor john reese
he's a uh internet marketer
first million dollars in a day online
one thing that i remember that he said
is that if you can get your first sale
online then you're 95
of the way there to making a hundred
thousand dollars a year because that
first sale once you've proven that this
works
you just got to rinse and repeat it you
got to scale it up you got to improve it
but the hardest part is that first sale
and i spent a lot of time trying to get
that first sale
once once i did it just opened things up
for me and made it more exciting i was
more motivated more committed to this
process
man i i totally get that i remember when
i made my first sale i was selling uh
second-hand stuff on ebay and i remember
coming through and just being so excited
it was like a like a
toy for kids that was just lying around
a bunch of them and i saw them
but yeah just the very same as you it
what it symbolized was
that worked like i did that i brought
that the whole way through and this book
is the exact same
because one thing i wanted to make clear
for everybody and just to talk about it
is
some people here might be thinking a
couple of things number one
it's going to take me a long time to put
this together and number two maybe
i know you said it was low cost to start
stefan but i mean how low cost like is
is it
what does that look like so maybe just
for anybody who's thinking i'm really
interested in this this sounds great
what what can they expect there in terms
of startup cost and how long it takes
that kind of thing
yeah so the cost to get started so
you're gonna need a book cover
and that's something inexpensively that
you can get from fiverr
um fiverr you know you can get a book
cover for five
ten dollars and what i typically do and
recommend even though that that that's
really cheap
i do recommend to get three different
covers like this is something i do i
usually hire three different
graphic designers so i might spend
thirty dollars
but i'll get three different covers and
that way i can kind of pick and choose
out of those options to decide which one
that i want to go with or you can even
test
different covers as well and then the
book itself
is going to be based on how long the
book is so how many words
as well as the qual the quality of the
writer and where they're located so
um quality is always number one um
you know that's the most important thing
especially if you're using your book to
build your brand to build your email
list
you're gonna get repeat customers a
better customer experience as well as
great quality reviews which is something
you need on amazon
um now how how much will that cost
you can in some cases get a book done
for a couple hundred bucks
some cases a couple thousand bucks yeah
it really depends
on the writer every writer is going to
be a bit different most of my students
start off with a shorter book that might
be 50 pages
so that might be around 10 000 plus
words around that range
and that might cost 200 300 400 bucks
but again every writer is different um
for sure
more important than the cost is the
quality and and it kind of depends how
hands-on or hands-off you want to be if
you want to edit the book yourself
proofread it
that can save you some money and some of
the cost if you want to do some of the
research and create an outline for the
writer
you can provide that too but the reason
why it you can get it done
cheaper is because you can find there's
so many writers out there that right now
are looking for work they have no idea
that they can make money from
writing in fact a lot of these writers
um they're working as
bloggers and so a lot of these big blogs
they hire these writers to write
articles for them
yeah but they also live in certain parts
of the world where if you're paying
us dollars or in euros just that
currency exchange you can hire
talented people you're not limited just
to people
in europe or people in the u.s that
there's a higher cost of living
it might cost more money for that so
because you can go to websites like
upwork.com or there's
writing companies out there you can find
great quality writers that way
yep and still you know get it done
rather inexpensively and the other thing
too you know my first book i never
published it under my own name um
actually i was a little bit shy
at the time being like talking about
dating and relationships
and so i published it under a pen name
or a pseudonym which is also very common
in this industry
so that's another option too for those
of you that might want to be anonymous
or
work with writers you can publish it
under any name that you want i mean
really that's
a big part of this industry mark twain
was a pseudo name and many
famous uh authors and writers whatnot
they they don't use their real name so
that's another way if you want to be
anonymous
um you can absolutely do that as well um
but yeah i mean that for the most part
that's that those are the costs involved
um if you want to you know turn into a
paperback book
and the formatting of it can cost a
little bit too
not much though i mean less than 50
bucks i'd say
um and then you know if you want to
market it the sky's the limit there you
can spend
as much as you want or nothing at all
but there's many different
working strategies that you can pursue
yeah i love that and again what i always
say to people is don't focus on the cost
focus on how much it's going to make it
because again like i think sometimes we
get very greedy online
um you said something around i want to
pick back up on which was talk about
john
reese one of your mentors uh who i've
i've learned a bit from
just from not speaking to but just from
videos and stuff and and again like i
think as well it's like
i remember he had that million dollar
day which a lot of people talk about
right it was a big game changer for a
lot of people
i'm sure yourself and myself as well
seeing that
and then you kind of bring it back to
yourself you bring it back to well is
like you just said is this possible is
this something that happens
and i'll tell you something now um
stefan like if i hadn't known this many
years ago
as i was getting into this i definitely
would have gotten started in this and
looked at it and said well look i'm
going to give it a year going to give it
eight
18 months or whatever see what i can do
with it can i get myself to a couple of
thousand a month
that's a really good start and then
start slowly adding in not slowly but
adding in more income streams and i can
tell you from my personal
life now and this point in time like our
companies at this point
we're doing cumulatively you know about
1.6 million
dollars revenue a month now and and
again like to me
uh 10 years ago impossible like you can
never get there right
and obviously with your own business
you're doing unbelievable unbelievable
figures as well
so it can seem impossible and i think
it's important what you said it's like
looking at the cost as an investment
number one looking at this
uh how much you're going to make and
giving yourself that
it's okay to make a couple of grand a
month and then start adding in more
income streams
you might want to scale it to a really
big level or as far as you can possibly
bring it or just keep it at that because
at the end of the day if you've written
a book stefan which you've written many
of them and your students as well
and years later right you're still
getting paid off of those books
even if it's only a small amount that's
still
at the essence of passive income you're
not doing anything
but it's still making you money and i
think that's the thing about
it's not like you can go to stock or
anything because it's on amazon as a
digital
good and i think that's really exciting
it is it is
and and you know for my myself um i'm
not as involved
publishing as i was originally and
that's because i've
transitioned into other business
opportunities and models and i make
significantly more money
from doing that than publishing books
but that's that's how i started and
that's one of the
and just kind of going into with that
mindset this is where you can start
here's another entry point to get into
this internet marketing world selling on
amazon
leveraging the power of amazon how great
it is but really what i
look at and value the most is what i've
learned from that
because there's a lot to learn you know
with the skills that you have
are incredible skills i mean you're
amazing as a copywriter
funnels webinars fba
like all you know logistic all these
skills that you've learned
it took you a long time to get there
though yep um and everyone's gonna have
their own journey to get to that point
if they want to make a million dollars
or more than that but
not letting money get in the way that's
what i realized for a lot of people they
let money get in the way
they let perfectionist mentality get in
the way procrastination
and that's why you know i've learned
with my students if i can kind of set a
lower barrier of entry which is really
what this is
this is a lower barrier of entry to get
started making money online
it's a lot cheaper than other models you
can outsource it and leverage someone
else
you can start with a shorter book if you
want to
if you're procrastinating on creating a
longer book or you don't have the means
to do so
when you have a lower barrier of entry
to get to that point when you make that
first dollar online
that's when it's a game changer and then
it can open up those other doors that we
talked about so
for me i'm in a bit of a different
position now where uh you know i'm
looking for things that can make me
hundreds of thousands millions of
dollars
but for those like a lot of people that
are watching they're not quite there yet
this is a great model for so many people
that i recommend to my
my family my friends my followers many
people that yes i still believe in it
and
amazon is a great opportunity for so
many people
well that's it and again it's you could
look at something like
for example retail arbitrage so that's a
good that's how i got my start
technically and i never really thought
about that until the last few years
technically that's how i got my start
on amazon selling on ebay as well and
that's something we're even bringing
into what we do now
we're bringing in people who are doing
that actively and the point as you just
said is very true is
like me personally steven today with a
you know multi-million dollar business
i'm probably not going to want to run
out and do retail arbitrage but if
i can bring the person who is brilliant
at that who knows what they're doing
and they can teach you how to do it and
that gets you your start that's massive
equally for you you're saying the same
thing you've got a huge company now but
you've got the skills to help people get
their start in something
this is a great starting point i think
that's awesome that's that's really what
the world's about you know i mean
no one's a master of everything this is
something you've mastered and it's
something
is is doable for everybody and i i
certainly everybody who
as you just mentioned if you haven't had
the money to start fba
or you want to add it into your tool
belt it's absolutely perfect
yeah you know this world of internet
marketing can be a bit intimidating
you know especially if you've never sold
anything online if you've never had a
business before
um there's a lot of steps a lot of
logistics there's a lot of
opportunities that are out there there's
a lot to learn you know and
um i know it was kind of like that for
me too so
trying trying to simplify it as much as
you can um
and an easier to do model at least for
those that want to get their feet wet
and learn
these skills learn amazon and and get
some initial success
once you once you kind of cultivate some
of those skills
then it becomes a lot less scary it
becomes a lot less scary to transition
because all of these skills like i said
learning how amazon works keywords uh
getting a cover
done working with a writer and
outsourcing
these are skills that are going to pay
dividends for you for the
rest of your journey because really you
know stephen you and i
we do the same thing today i mean we're
outsourcing we're getting you know
graphics done
we're optimizing for keywords on amazon
those skills are consistent skills that
are valuable to learn
that that will help you down the road
and whatever other internet marketing
endeavor so
it's a way to get started that's less
intimidating and then you're gonna have
more confidence and that confidence
especially when you have a course that's
why i think both you and i we recommend
courses
because it gives you confidence in the
process rather than trying to navigate
the waters on your own
getting lost making mistakes um you know
losing money losing time and so
um you know i've always believed that's
the fastest way to get a result
who's already doing it who can learn
from a proven model
and and just follow in those footsteps
and
you're going to fast track and
accelerate the learning curve by doing
it that way
i fully agree man 100 and so i
again endorse everything that you do you
being a great
friend a great partner of ours and also
someone who
i i've learned a lot from again i
wouldn't be on youtube for example it
wasn't for you
so again i i really would recommend
everybody pick this up
the link is down below in the
description or in the pinned comment
incredibly inexpensive for what you're
going to learn here it really is
a low-cost way to get started so do go
and check it out down below
and uh and yeah so it's stefan thanks
man for coming on today
i really appreciate you taking the time
i know you're a really busy guy just
like myself but
i'd love to take the time out to now
give nearly an hour of just your
time which uh which everybody here is
going to really appreciate i certainly
do
and everybody watching do give this
video a massive like jump
into the comments and just say thanks to
stefan again for all the learning today
and do pick this up everybody and again
just one final time step fan
so everybody can understand uh you we're
gonna you're gonna cover picking the
niche you're gonna cover just go through
those few bits again and then we'll
we'll wrap up for today just so
everybody understands exactly what's in
there
yeah so i break down everything step by
step into a process
so i have a blueprint if you will is
what i call it where i guide someone
from a to z
to getting to the result of making money
with your book so the first step of
doing research even if right now you
have no idea you have no ideas that are
coming to your mind
that's okay it's almost better to go
into this having that open mind and just
being open to a variety of different
topics
that you can create a book and publish
it on if you do find something you have
a passion interest for
great huge advantage but if not i will
guide you through the process to find
ideas to brainstorm look what's selling
on amazon
so that you can have a few options of
books that you can proceed with
the next step would be getting your
creating your book title the title of
the book is so
important it has to be a title that
really sells someone on wanting to get
this book so the title is key
knowing keywords and how you're going to
rank your book on amazon as a search
engine is key so i walk you through that
getting your book cover created
getting your book itself created edited
formatted for kindle
and for paperback version how to set up
your kdp account which is kindle direct
publishing
upload your book your description your
title all of that there
and setting the price for it doing the
launch of the book
marketing your book running ads for the
book and scaling the book
scaling it to whatever level that you
want to so every part of the process i
cover inside the course
awesome well i think that's phenomenal
and again guys one final
quick tip for you all you could even
offer this as a service as well and get
paid for it that's even on one little
side hustle we could be all thinking
about so again there you go
stefan i thank you so much for coming on
everybody get down to the description
right now give this video a like
also grab the program it's down in the
description or in the pin comment
we are going to be emailing you if
you're watching this live over the next
number of weeks well not live but if
you're watching it today
we're gonna be uh putting out emails
over the next number of days about this
because we really want
to get this in front of as many people
as possible and again uh
go check it out guys mastering book
publishing awesome program
highly endorse everything you do i've
looked through it and it's great and i
highly highly
recommend it for everybody here so
stefan thanks again for coming on giving
so much your time
and and all the lessons that you've
taught me and everybody in my community
over the years
and i wouldn't have a community uh
certainly not nearly as big as it is now
if it wasn't for you so again i thank
you
as always thanks again thank you man
appreciate it and thank you guys for
being here watching
and we'll talk again soon
