I'm a part-time seller of many stuff and
things on mostly eBay dabling on a
couple other websites but I really love
collecting cards have my whole life and
so here lately I've been marrying the
two things that I really enjoy in life
which is collecting cards and selling
things online so I'm buying things on
what not with the intention of going to
eBay and selling them for a profit so I
thought in this video I have another
nice little haul here from my favorite
what not streamer two pounds worth of
Pokemon cards we're gonna open it up
we're gonna do a haul with you guys but
then we're gonna go in we're gonna list
a couple of these Pokemon cards and I'm
going to show you exactly how I do that
the materials that you need in order to
protect your cards during shipment and
just how easy the whole process is so

I had some illness this week that was
not the most fun of my life but feeling
better been finding some really good
deals on cards even though I've been
trying to save a little bit of money
but uh yeah Pokemon re-released those uh
EV premium collections
Sylveon Flareon and Vaporeon and those
are pricing I've been finding them so
Good Times let's see here did live

time uh after the fact and was more than

it would make things a lot easier she
would have clown it with my order but I
understand life gets busy
so yeah just like bulk Pokemon cards is
pretty much what we were looking at here

I don't know if there's anything that's
gonna like immediately catch our eye she
does typically top load most things
Rayquaza V Max that rayquazas are always
good
Japanese I've had a lot of luck with uh
Japanese listing those originally I
thought that the Japanese cards were
going to be very difficult to list
because I can't read Japanese right but
when I failed to realize originally is
that I can just type in Japanese
pokemon044-067
and it's going to find that card very
very easily and I'll walk you guys
through that oh look at that that's got
to be lost origin Japanese version of
that kiratina
nice
really enjoying the Lost origin set I've
got a booster box I've got nine more
packs out of my booster box to open up I
pulled an absolute Beauty last night I
don't see it where's it at I want to
show it off oh there it is it's right
here in front of my face
the gold Giratina V Star that's a 40
card and then this is like all the other
all the other heat that I pulled out of
that box it's been a really good box 100
spent a hundred dollars on the box
and yeah not too shabby not too shabby
at all especially with that gold I love
that
couple of these evv Max promotional
cards so originally I was listing all
these on TCGplayer which if you don't
know TCGplayer is a website that is now
owned by eBay and the reason I was
listening to them on there is because it
was just a lot easier you don't have to
take individual pictures of every single
card you just find the card list
whatever Condition it's in and then your
card is ready and available for sale
um that's great it is very fast but I
found that cards just seem to move a
heck of a lot faster on eBay the
marketplace is just much bigger there's
a lot more people that are buying I'm
very comfortable with listing on eBay
and I think the biggest thing that I
love about eBay compared to TCGplayer is
the ability to send things via standard
envelope and if you don't know what that
is it's essentially you're buying a
stamp so it costs 57 cents to send
anything up to one ounce that's Slim So
like a card or a couple of cards up to
one ounce it's 57 cents but the
difference between just a regular stamp
and eBay standard envelope is that with
the eBay standard envelope you get
delivery tracking information so I
actually had a buyer open up a case and
they said hey didn't receive my card so
I opened up the eBay standard label
looked in my eBay page and it said that
it was marked as delivered at the
buyer's address so I just put that in
and eBay was like yep it's marked as
delivered there's nothing we can do
about it so you get that extra added
security it's only good for cards up to
twenty dollars uh but in my book I think
that it's it's well well worth it
um so that's the haul that's everything
that I got those three kind of stacks
there I'll look up what it is that I
spent on all of those cars just to give
you an idea and then we'll actually get
into the computer and I'll show you how
I list uh maybe a couple of these maybe
I'll do like a little variety of cards
so we'll switch over to the computer
right now all right so here we are on
the Bay of V I'm going to show you guys
how easy it is to list Pokemon cards on
here so the first thing that we want to
do is to just do a search we're going to
find this Taurus GX so whatever the name
is is usually the easiest way that you
can find it if it's in English and you
speak English then that works great but
for the Japanese card you've got to do a
little something different and I'll show
you that in a little bit we can also use
the card number on this one as well 100
out of 149 is what the card number on
this one is and wouldn't you know it
that's the first one that popped up so
we can just click that and that's going
to show us all the results of our cards
currently for sale now what I like to do
is I like to Price Mine as cheap as I
possibly can but still make money so my
first move is going to go to buy it now
because that's how I sell all of
everything that I sell on eBay and then
change this drop down to price plus
shipping lowest first you want to make
sure that you're not comparing your
prices to a digital card you want to
make sure that it's an actual cardboard
card that somebody is selling so 1.95
with free shipping typically what I
found is that two dollars and 49 cents
is about the amount of money that I'm
willing to part with a Pokemon card if
it is not going for that amount I will
still price it at that and I'll put it
on eBay and I'll just sit on it because
after fees after your shipping supplies
all that kind of stuff 2.49
with free shipping I think is kind of
your almost break even point if you
factor in the cost of goods and your
time so this one is not going for 2.49
or more but I'm still going to list it
at 2.49 with free shipping maybe I will
wind up selling some of them because
people are going to come to my store and
they're like oh this guy's got a lot of
Pokemon cards or I bought from him
before and it was fantastic service so
don't under price yourself don't feel
like you have to absolutely undercut
every single person so I'm gonna take
pictures of this and I'll show you how I
do that what I did was I went on to Etsy
and I purchased a 3D printed custom card
stand and I had to sell put my name on
there so you'll see what my pictures
look like I do two pictures one in the
front one in the back that's it so we'll
come back here in just a second and show
you that actually before I do that I'm
going to click on this listing because I
like the title it's got all of the
keywords in there that I would maybe
want I kind of like this title a little
bit better because it has near mint
spelled out so if you want to copy off
somebody else's work you don't have to
redo the title just click the listing
that you really like and then just go to
have one to sell sell it now and that's
going to bring you into the place where
then you can fill in the details to
personalize it for yourself you can add
your pictures all of those kinds of
things so I'll take picture of this card
and we'll come right back all right so
this is what the new listing experience
looks like on eBay if you've never seen
this whenever you're listing an item I
think there's probably a little link
that might say try the new listing
experience in eBay I did that and at
first I was like oh I don't like it but
now it's kind of grown on me and I like
it so this is the new listing eBay
experience if this looks really weird to
you this is the new way of things I
guess so I've got my picture added we're
going to go ahead and take a look at it
I do take the card out of the top loader
out of the sleeve that way the buyer can
actually see exactly what kind of
condition the card is in that's also
really good for me as well because this
card was marketed to me as near meant
however as we look at the back of this
you can see some whitening on the
corners and if I see just just you know
like one corner that's got it I would
still maybe be okay listing it as near
mint but we've got that one that one
that like basically all of the corners
have some whitening that's showing on
there so I would call this one lightly
played or LP so we need to update our
title for that but that's always a good
thing to be able to review as you're
taking the pictures and looking at your
listing so we're going to go right here
we're going to change this to lightly
played the next important part you want
to make uh sure that you pay attention
to is the custom label and so that's
where you can actually say where this
item is stored that way whenever it does
sell six months from now or whatever you
know where to go and look in order to
find it I've got mine in a little place
called cards too so we'll just throw
that in there scroll on down make sure
that the GX part is correct you want to
make sure that the condition is correct
so we're lightly played on this one
everything else should be correct
because we copied that other person's
listing so we don't have to update
really anything which is really nice you
do want to have an item condition that's
a required thing so go ahead and click
use because it is a used card and I've
actually set up a keyboard shortcut I'm
using apple and you can set up these
keyboard shortcuts where if you've got
these phrases that you type out
consistently you don't have to retype
them or copy and paste them I've got
them set up behind three letter Keys
basically so if I just type in TTT and
then hit spacebar it throws in Carters
in near mint condition we'll ship in
plastic protection in a plain white
envelope with delivery confirmation
thanks to eBay standard envelope so we
just need to go in here and clean up
this part right here lightly played
condition
there we go and everything else looks
great and then with the description
again uh people don't necessarily read
the description especially if they're
buying on mobile because they actually
have to click into it it's not something
that automatically displays so I use the
description as an opportunity for me to
kind of outline the different business
practices that I have that are going to
ensure the buyer that they're going to
have a great experience whenever they
shop with me so again I've got a
keyboard shortcut set up under eee I
just type that in ship fast great uh
prepping shipping and packaging you'll
be satisfied I accept returns happy to
combine shipping all of those kind of
like red tape things that somebody might
be interested in in doing come on down
here it's a buy it now again 249 is kind
of where I would like to be at on cards
especially anything that's pretty cheap
I don't allow offers because I'm not
really wanting to accept any offers any
lower than that I've done the market
research I know how much they're worth
I'm not looking to necessarily turn
these cards around really quick but you
can turn on offers there if you would
like to to you get some nice little
information here that the median price
sold on this particular card was 1.99 so
at 249 I'm going to be waiting a while I
already knew that but it's good that it
is right there to kind of remind you of
that we're doing standard shipping you
don't need to change that it's only
going to weigh an ounce we want to make
sure that we've got the standard
envelope selected so we're going to get
rid of first class and we're going to
add a service come on down to eBay

Stamps postcards up to twenty dollars
it's going to take three to six business
days to get there tracking Insurance
included this is huge for anybody that
is selling cards uh for like cheap cards
in this space because before it was like
well we'll put in an envelope we'll send
it out there and hopefully the buyer
receives it even if they do receive it
we can't prove that they didn't but with
eBay standard envelope you absolutely
can
don't exclude locations calculated
shipping no I don't do international
shipping for standard envelope I just
haven't done that yet I don't even know
if it even works so I've just kind of
been toggling it off if anybody has any
info about that uh like sending a
Stanford plain white envelope overseas I
just feel like that's not gonna work
I don't think that's gonna work so I
always turn that off don't want to
promote it and then we list that's it it
is that easy I can list a card a minute
uh maybe two minutes and so it's really
quick you turn it around so let's look
up this next one because it's a Japanese
car this is the Giratina and so once
again we're going to go back to that
eBay home page and all we have to do is
type in Japanese Pokemon and the card
number for the Giratina here it is 80
out of 100 you do want to make sure that
you put the zero in front of the 80.
that's an important aspect of this once
again we'll go to buy it now
we'll go to change the price plus
shipping lowest first
and we are at
these are not the card that we have
that's always good whenever you scroll a
little bit further you know that you've
got something that's going to be worth a
little bit something all right so here
we go pre-owned mint Japanese 299 plus
51 cents in shipping so what I'm going
to do is I'm going to undercut this
seller by one cent so that my card is
the first one on the list because again
it's above that 249 spot I paid about a
dollar per card in that auction so I
know that there's enough meat on the
bone for me to make the some money on
this now you do want to be careful don't
always look for the cheapest one on here
because some of them are going to say
things like this from Canada from Japan
and if they're from Canada or Japan and
you're selling it in the United States
and you're probably selling to us buyers
you can charge a premium price for that
because people are not going to have to
wait 30 days in order to receive their
card and the shipping margins of course
are going to be much better this is a US
seller though if it doesn't say anything
then you'll know that it's a U.S seller
so we can come in one cent underneath
them but I'm going to take pictures
again and one come right back another
thing that I like to do especially on
japanese cards is to indicate that this
is coming from a US seller a lot of
times folks just don't include that and
that was not a part of the title from
the one that we're copying off of as you
can see right there the only reason that
I knew is because I sell on here a lot
but the average buyer might come in here
and think ah Japanese Pokemon card I
don't have to wait forever to order that
one whereas on mine it's going to say in
big bold letters U.S seller right there
at the end so I think that they're much
more likely to order from me so let's go
through this in real time and show you
exactly how quick this is we did cheat
and already have the custom label typed
in there but all of this stuff is great
because this one is near mint card

it done it's that easy it's that quick
all right at this point we're actually
going to go down into the basement I'm
going to show you where all my cards are
stored and I'm going to show you what it
actually looks like to pull a card and
prep it for shipping and here we are
down in the dungeon the basement where
all the magic happens we're gonna take
those two cards and we're gonna actually
put them into our storage system kind of
show you how that works there they are
this is like very rudimentary but my
system is basically this is cards two
this is cards one uh Pokemon is going
into cards too football sports going
into cards one right now until it just
gets out of control but then at that
point I can move on to some different
drawers cards three is full of nothing
but braided cards right now but for the
Japanese stuff
um I'm doing like v's and V Stars just
like right there in that pile just to
make make them easy to find any English
stuff that just goes right back there
but let's imagine that maybe there's
somebody that bought a card or two cards
from me so what is that going to look
like well I'm happy to show you all
right so let's ship a card a single card
let's imagine that we have sold somebody
this Taurus GX if I'm shipping a single
card I'm gonna ship it exactly like this
inside of a sleeve inside of a top
loader rigid plastic so something more
along these lines if I've got multiple
cards if I got two cards you could
probably go with one of these but if
I've got more than that you can squeeze
like three or four cards in one of these
card Savers but let's talk about just
shipping a single card this one is good
to go just like that so top loader and a
sleeve you also want to invest in some
of these One Touch resealable bags
sometimes they're called team bags as
well but they're just really thin
plastic bags they don't cost anything
they just make sure that your card is
secure during Transit because it goes
down inside of that bag and then it's
got this nice little self-adhesive strip
that you tear off of there and then you
want to fold it down to the top of where
that top loader is that way if this card
gets All Shook to all get out it's not
going anywhere it's going to go to the
top of that piece of plastic and it will
never exit that rigid top loader so
you're going to ensure safety which is
kind of important with cards because
people like their cards to be in good
condition these are security envelopes I
bought them in bulk on eBay three three
and five eighths by six and a half
inches by 9.2 by 16.5 cm that's
ridiculous
they're basically small but I wanted the
self-adhesive ones so I wasn't having to
lick a bunch of envelopes
part in there
there you go just like that
take that off of there
seal it up
beautiful all right now you're going to
print out your label and I've got a
thermal label printer that's like the
same one that everybody has the dime
dymo no Rolo Rolo printer uses these
four by six labels and whenever you
print out your eBay standard envelope
it's going to print out on this size
it's going to take up pretty much the
whole thing I like to adhere this on
this side just so I can make sure that
that adhesive stays stuck the whole way
so I'll put it on there kind of towards
the top of the envelope and then you are
going to have some overlap there on the
bottom as you can see all I do is I just
bend that around that's just like some
extra added protection that card is
absolutely protected it's going to have
a delivery and tracking number your
buyer is going to be very happy whenever
they receive their card like this in
excellent condition all right now it's
the same process if you're doing
multiple cards except you're going to
want to take the cards out of the top
loaders that you do want them to stay in
those sleeves because those are going to
be very important for protection against
any kind of friction that might happen
during Transit so get your cards out of
those heavier top loaders get yourself
one of these this this is called a card
saver one I really like these they're
really nice but it's pretty simple to
get two cards to fit very nicely in
there you got to kind of work them
around but the good thing about these
card saver wands compared to the top
loaders is that they kind of fit in
there like pretty tight once you get
these cards in there they're not going
to move around like if this is a top
loader those cards would come out of
there immediately so these don't have
necessarily as much plastic protection
but they do have that added benefit that
the card isn't going to move around so
once again they do fit very nicely in
these resealable bags throw that in
there I usually throw my business card
in there as well so get yourself a
business card make yourself look
professional
and we'll have that kind of on the
outside that way they're seeing that
right whenever they get it maybe they're
curious and they open that up fold that
down get yourself another security
envelope nothing has changed here folks
throw it in the envelope
pull the adhesive off I'm not going to
waste another envelope you get the idea
put your shipping label on there and
once again you've got two protected
cards and a very happy customer all

I think I've had a dream of having my
own card store my entire life and in a
way I'm making that reality happen
without all of the negative aspects of
actually owning a card store such as
just having to put in ungodly hours
having a tremendous amount of overhead
and just having product that you can't
sell I get to dabble in and I get to
learn some things as I go I get some
extra money to buy some more cards I'm
having a ball doing it so I hope you
