what's up guys Jade laughs ski here
focus photography and design helping you
focus on your photography today I wanted
to show you quickly how you can upload
images to Adobe stock I don't know if
you're doing this yet or not but if
you're like me you've got tons of images
that you don't use a lot a decent shots
that you might as well try and make some
money off of it so I just wanted to show
you how I do that and hopefully you can
start doing it too alright let's come
over to Lightroom here and in Lightroom
I have a collection that I set up where
I can add photos to it that I want to
submit to Adobe stock so here you see
some images that I've pulled together
just a couple random things so here's
the process that I usually use as they
go through preparing my images for Adobe
stock so one of the first things you'll
want to do is go ahead and scroll all
the way down here under publish services
and you want to set up an Adobe stock
one so you can find more services online
here you can click the Add button and
add in Adobe Adobe stock and then you
would put in your account information
and everything and then that way once
you're done with your photos in
Lightroom you can just drag them down
into your Adobe stock submit to Adobe
stock folder here underneath Adobe stock
and the publish services and then it'll
automatically use the settings that are
needed to submit it up to Adobe stocks
website so I'll just start with let's
just pick the image of the scissors here
so I'm gonna come in here now the big
thing that we want to do is we want to
make sure we have a title and keywords
for this image before we submit it so
I'm gonna start by opening my keyword
panel here on the left what I'm gonna
want to do is come up with keywords now
you can start with thinking of keywords
on your own try and see what you can
come up with so what I usually like to
do for keywords is I'll go online to a
website called microstock keyword tool
and what this website does is it allows
you to search keywords for an image and
then it will show you image
you then select images that you think
kind of match what your image is and
then it will tell you all the keywords
associated with those images okay so I'm
going to come over here and say kids
scissors I'm gonna let the website
search okay so now that I have the
images from my search which was kids
scissors I'm gonna go through these
images and just click on ones that kind
of match mine or have something to do
with my image because what's gonna
happen after I select images from this
website I'm going to come down here hit
submit and it's going to give me all the
keywords associated with these various
images so I'm just gonna start at the
top and pick some of these scissors here
so I would just pick as many as you
think kind of pertain to your image so
I'm gonna hit submit and now over here
you see there's all these words on the
left now the bigger the word be more
times it appeared as a keyword in the
images that I selected well I'm just
gonna start here and as you click each
word it highlights red and adds it to
your keywords list so I usually try to
get between 20 and 30 keywords you can
also add in keywords on your own down
here if you can think of some and it'll
add it to the front of the list so to
copy these words out of here you just
double click in there or you can select
command or control a to select all of
them then you use command or control C
to copy and I'll go back over to
Lightroom I come to my keyword tab over
here I'm gonna click down in the
keywords and hit ctrl or command V and
then enter and it puts all my keywords
in here now the only downside of doing
it here versus on the Adobe stock
website is that it puts it in
alphabetical order here but that's okay
because once you get to the Adobe
website you can rearrange the keywords
however you want I'm gonna add that in
there they're all that when keywords are
added the next thing I want to do is
come down to metadata and in the title
area here well I usually use the default
metadata setting here and the title you
can put in whatever you want the image
to be titled so whatever you think might
make sense for somebody searching for
your image usually I tried to use
something that's related to the image
and by putting it in in the title in
here as well as putting the keywords in
up here in your key wording that allows
you to not have to put it in on the
Adobe website I think it's easier just
to have it here then it's all set in
that way if you ever have images that
are similar you can just copy the you
know the keywords I think it just makes
sense to have all that right here in
Lightroom in your metadata and I would
go through and do this with all the rest
of my my photos here so what I'm gonna
do now I'll just start with this one and
do this one as an example but I would do
the same with any photo that I submit to
Adobe stock so next I'm gonna come over
to Adobe stock and I'm just gonna grab
my image bring it down to submit to a
dhobi stock
and then I'm gonna click on Adobe stock
and you'll see down here's all the
images that I've previously submitted
and then here's the new photos to
publish those you have to do
let's click publish that will
automatically upload the image to Adobe
stock website with all the necessary
settings it needs ok so once the image
is uploaded you're gonna get a note that
says go to Adobe stock to complete your
submission and start selling so you
click yes that's gonna bring you right
to your contributor account on Adobe
stocks website brings you to this window
here so it shows you pictures that you
have uploaded that need to be I need a
couple more things before you can submit
them so here's our scissors picture so
over here you have the different file
type that it is it's a photo you can
also do illustrations the category that
it falls into they have different
categories here and a lot of these
things will auto populate as your image
is imported but you want to double check
them and make sure it pertains to your
image next you have you the title which
is the same title we put in Lightroom it
knows to use that as the image title so
here you can see all your keywords here
and you can rearrange them however you
want it's very easy as you do is just
drag or click on the number here and you
can drag them up or if you find say the
word scissors I want that to be first
what you can do is just click on this
little line with an arrow here and boom
it'll shoot it right up to the top so
you adjust those on however you want
them to be ordered basically the first
one has the most importance and as you
go down there they're less important
when somebody else is searching your
images you can continue to add keywords
if you want or you can just leave what
you have and then is it recognizable
people or property if it's somebody that
can be recognized their face you need a
model release same for a property you
need property release if it's a property
that can be recognized in the picture
this is I'm going to say no and then
you'll see a little green check mark
here on the picture here when you're all
set and you can actually submit it I'm
going to come over here and then you
submit for approval so I'm going to
click on that pop this up and I'll show
you all the images you have selected and
I'm gonna say submit and that
just like that you got your image
submitted Adobe's gonna review it and
then if it's approved you'll get an
email saying that your image was
approved if the image is not approved
you'll get an email saying why it was
not approved it's usually one of a
couple general kind of terms which you
can then look on the Adobe website
through a link in the email that will
give you more information about why the
photo was rejected sometimes it's things
that you can fix and resubmit it and
other times it may just be an image that
you're not interested in so I hope this
helped you out I hope that you can go
through your photos and find some that
you can put on the Adobe stock website
start trying to sell some images and
you're not gonna make a ton of money but
it's better than making no money and
better than images just sitting on your
hard drive if it's something that you're
not gonna use maybe you can try and make
a few dollars and sell your images on
the Adobe stock website I want to thank
you all you guys for watching I
