from all the factory parts I took off of
my 350z and sold on eBay I was able to
buy my daily driver so today I'm gonna
go over how I sell things on eBay I've
been doing this for over five years now
I've had over a hundred and seventy
transactions and made over six thousand
dollars doing this and these are just
parts that I took off my 350z as I
replaced different components with
aftermarket ones so I highly recommend
this you might think oh this parts not
worth anything but really it is somebody
somewhere needs it and you can make some
pretty good money selling those parts so
first things first I go in search for
the item alright so this one seems to be
similar this is item I'm looking for I'm
also it's good to get a range of prices
while you're here use this one now once
you click on the item you can go down
here and look at their description see
if they have anything elaborate that
they've looked up like a part number if
they have a good description you want to
use part of it copy and paste it now it
will not carry over once we click this
cell Now button but what the sell Now
button does is it takes most of their
settings and it carries them over for
you so it keeps their title it keeps its
categories that's going through things
like that so I hate when people do all
caps drive me nuts
packy I'll do the year range
infected then make in the model first
just normally tight then you want to do
the part name and then you can do extra
terms that people might use to search
for the same height of it just as much
information back here that will help
draw extra people to your parts so the
first part and it's super important
because whenever it's contracted they
always see the first half of your title
because it's shortened somewhere because
they're on
you want them to see exactly what it is
they don't want to have to click on it
find out pictures are important you
should have several good high-quality
pictures you can take them with your
phone that's fine
but if you don't have good pictures no
one's ever going to look at your item I
like to have at least three pictures for
an item but if you can have more that's
great it just makes people feel more
comfortable about buying your item so
just a nice quality picture you want a
contrasting background so I've got it on
a white background because it is dark
colored parts so for a description
I usually just copy and paste the title
and then add some things I always give a
description of the item that was working
when I took it off the car there's no
issues with it no tears there's any
small imperfections just go ahead and
mention it because if you ship it to
someone and they get it and they have a
complaint and it wasn't in the
description then sometimes they can have
a case to get it returned so just go
ahead and put it in the description now
just get it out of the way I always put
the specific bottle that came off of it
so water will fit on these hum through
the disease in 2:35 I am guaranteed but
it will fit just my car everyone else
has to confirm fitment before purchase
they have any questions they can message
you you gotta protect yourself for most
things I do a fixed price I don't really
bother with any of the auctions so for
this one what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna
do it for $9.99 and the reason is I
always count the range of prices and
then I put mine at the bottom because
I'm not trying to make a living off of
this I am simply trying to sell these
parts for some extra money Mike don't
want to sit on them for six months to a
year because I'm trying to get every
last penny out of them I'm just trying
to get some quick money get it out there
help somebody else who needs that part
if I leave it at the top of the range it
might not sell for two years that
doesn't really help me I always offer
free shipping because unless it's
something ridiculous like wheels or a
seat I always do free shipping it makes
people feel better I don't know what it
is so put a little bit of margin into
your price offer it with free shipping I
just feel like that makes it a lot
easier when creating your shipping label
they will ask you how much it weighs if
you have a small scale or a bathroom
scale something like that that's super
helpful if it's under a pound you can
ship it pretty cheaply and then after
that you like there's a bit of a jump
after things that await a pound or under
so I try to focus on small car parts
things that are big and heavy usually
just aren't worth it I'll post those on
my Craigslist so here's our finished
posting got a nice big picture you can
tell exactly what it is you can tell if
it's all yours Nissan 350z
it's a door contact switch got some
extra possible tags that people might be
looking for it'll be up here for 30 days
I've got two available
I always put make an offer just because
if someone offers me $8.99 then I'm
gonna take it worse you can say is no
and they can see it's got free shipping
usually makes people feel a little bit
better description here and that's all
there is to it once someone buys this
try to ship it as quickly as possible
you know that when you buy things you
want to get it right away so try to get
it shipped out as quickly as you can
that's seven items up for sale right now
and keep track of how many views each
one is had if it's being watched that
has any sort of bits or offers on it I
got an offer for this head unit and
turned it down you can make a
counteroffer they didn't accept it so
it's still out there
when selecting the shipping label if you
have to wait here
but change weight and dimensions and it
will give you every shipping option and
show you how much it cost and if I make
this one pound and then calculate this
first class package two to three days
pack that it has a max weight of one
pound but that is always going to be
your cheapest option if it's a pounder
hunger so I do that all the time I'm
selling anything that's even close to a
pound that's what I do you can stick it
in your mailbox turn the little flag up
they'll come pick it up they don't ever
question how much it weighs if you take
it to the post office they will weigh it
and if they will charge you more if
you're wrong make sure that if it's
anything big and heavy you put a lot of
margin in here for shipping because you
know even something that's only like 10
pounds is gonna cost you twenty dollars
to ship so just keep that in mind
so really this isn't hard just kind of
go through be thorough think about what
you look for when you're buying
something on eBay you want to buy the
part that has no pictures and a horrible
description or something that has great
pictures a description that gives you
enough that you know what's going on you
want someone who responds to messages
quickly that gives you quick shipping
just treat people the way you want to be
treated because if you have a lot of
claims eBay will kick you off so just be
be a good seller be thorough follow my
little tricks and you'll get all of your
stuff out of there and you'll be able to
make some quick cash on eBay so thanks
for watching hit that subscribe button
and I will see you guys next week
