I suppose because she's so talented the
first time no one wouldn't queue some
entertainment on the way so far the Q
has been zero minutes
into Wim wouldn't I had no ticket to
begin with I turned up I got through the
gates and I managed to get to the center
Court the main game and today I'm going
to be explaining exactly how I did it
because I think the process despite all
the stuff online is still very confusing
so let me walk you through my day and
hope that this helps anybody who's going
to Wimbledon later this week or next
year or the year after and so on now I
had no ticket so I got the train to
Wimbledon I arrived when I arrived at
Wimbledon Tennis park there was this
massive facility loads of gates and
moral of the story if you keep walking
around eventually you'll see a sign that
says non-ticket holders cue so this
non-ticket coldest queue is where you
want to go if you're looking to get a
ticket to Wimbledon and you haven't
pre-bought one now I'm going to talk
about the benefits of not pre-buying one
in a bit and I'm going to talk about the
best times to go to avoid the queue and
how it kind of changes throughout the
week so obviously today when I rocked up
I had a little walk around the um the
grounds I followed the signs to the
non-ticket holders queue and basically
it's in a car park
um and essentially what you do is you
get in this queue which is in a car park
and you queue up until you reach this
sort of Booth this 10 booth and then
they sell your tickets there and then
for ground pass as it's called so this
first sort of queue before you enter the
complex is a ground pass ticket Place
only realistically I think you can get
Center Court tickets in the morning but
when I went all of the ones that were
available
um before you enter the facility for
Center Court and call one Etc had been
sold so if you want to get Center Court
tickets or
um you know the main Court one or two
tickets then you want to queue up very
early on the day and you'll basically
want to try and get those tickets before
they're sold out
um if you aren't as fast about
guaranteed Center Court tickets you can
do what I don't scan Center Court which
I'm going to talk about soon but you can
actually turn up a bit later in the day
so for example today I turned up at
about 1 30. this is Monday's second week
Tuesday second week sorry this is
Tuesday second week there was literally
no Queue at all so I turned up a 130 to
this car park I walked straight through
all of these barriers no Queue at all
straight through got my ground past and
pretty much wandered into the facility
it cost me 20 pounds in week one I
believe it's 27 week two is twenty
there's less games than week two so they
reduce the price
um and yeah this massive cue that I was
researching a lot about that I was
worried about that because of the time I
turned up I think I turned up a
reasonable time there was no dramas at
all I wasn't there in the morning
queuing I came a bit later at lunchtime
and I'm mid-week as well so people are
probably working but apparently
sometimes people queue for two or three
hours I literally walk straight through
so first hurdle done so I get inside
I've got a ground pass
um there's courts everywhere there's
some Junior courts so I ended up
watching and was like these guys on the
Wimbledon schedule what's going on here
I ended up in some smaller courts some
Junior courts with my ground pass you
don't need to reserve any seats you just
kind of walk in fantastic saw some great
tennis there and then I thought I'd have
a little walk around to see what was
happening elsewhere now here's where I
stumbled on the famous Hill and I
decided that if you're looking at the
hill the screen is here the Hill's here
so I'm facing the hill on the screen's
behind me on your left there's this
little low bank so I thought why not
have a little walk up to this um this
little bank I think it was court number
18. it was a slightly bigger Court than
the smaller ones so I had a little walk
up there and I saw another call which
you can basically go to your ground pass
I think think with your ground pass you
can go on all the courts except courts
Center one and two so I was looking at
18 and I saw this guy holding a stick
saying resale tickets q and I thought do
I really want to buy another ticket to
go to see um to Center Court or uh you
know
Court one or two even because I just
thought like I don't want to they said
you might have to get out for like two
hours three hours and it's done
basically this resale queue people that
don't turn up or corporate people that
buy tickets that don't turn up their
tickets then get resold on at three
o'clock onwards because that's when they
know people haven't turned up
so I thought I'll join the queue anyway
to see what happens I met some nice
people and I thought if it moves too
slowly I'll just I'll just wander off so
I joined the cube and I was watching
some caught 18 tennis at about 2 45 I
then had a meeting for like an hour so
time went by really quickly but I
essentially then waited in queue in a
queue for like an hour and 20 minutes to
get a resale ticket for one of the main
games now this was either for court one
Court two or Center Court now I chose to
go to court one because Center Court was
finishing
um and then there was a singles match
afterwards but a court one match had
only just begun so I queued up in this
ticket police this queue this resale
tickets queue and I've waited for an
hour 45 minutes and then I paid 10
pounds to get a ticket with random
seating they randomly allocate seating
and it's unlikely you're going to get
two together that's normally spontaneous
single tickets
um dotted all over the place I queued up
and I got this ticket for court one for
10 pounds that's the same price for
court two resale tickets and and
sensical resale tickets are 15 pounds
core one resale Q goes down a bit it's
all the same queue but to get call one
ticket is slightly quicker than Center
um so I pretty much pay the person 10
pounds got randomly allocated a ticket
and a seat and then I walked into call
one show my ticket sat down watched some
fabulous tennis I think I chose Rye with
core one the game went on for three and
a half hours I saw Nori versus
um gothin Nori one English guy fantastic
game
some people try to like sneak in from
Center court to court one and they could
but then people you know come in and out
in the seats as a bit of a nightmare
um but I essentially think the way that
I did Wimbledon was exactly right the
the seats I had were the same seats that
Prince William and Kay had on the other
side and I paid a tenor extra for them
you know it's quite crazy now I think
the way it works as well is that that's
what I did today but one of Wimbledon
there's a lot more tennis ground pass
tickets cost 27 pounds week two they
cost 20 pounds because of less tennis
and the chances are if you're a weekend
the queue is going to be a lot bigger
obviously because there's more people
off work you probably want to get there
earlier I think the ideal time together
on a weekday well for me on today it's
about one it's about two you know it's
perfectly fine you want to get in that
resale ticket queue though
probably no later than half two I think
we we you know they resell tickets at
three actually I think you want to get
there for about one one fourth no no
yeah 145 maybe I think that's ideal time
to get there because
you don't want to waste the the earlier
you get there the better value for money
you get out of that resale ticket and
there we I was 120th in this queue for
resale tickets I made it in I think
people probably up to about 150 made in
comfortably
um
so that is pretty much the situation
with getting tickets for Wimbledon I
hope this does help it was quite a
confusing process but you know now I
understand how it works I pretty much
explain it to you
I I think it it is fairly simple but
online it does not seem clear at all so
in essence judging the queue is going to
be tough if you go there are one on a
you know quarter final or less you're
probably gonna have no cue as you get to
the semi-final the final people are
going to want to see these games more
there might be slightly more of a queue
especially because you know
the final it's the semi-final resale
tickets as well are probably going to go
down in quantity for the semi-final and
final because everybody wants to go so
just bear all those factors in mind but
yeah I had a fantastic day today looking
at Wimbledon Tennis I made it 31 pounds
on tickets I spend for Prime seats at
Center Court I think you know
I was in row 13 I had great seats
they go up to the heavens so it really
is the luck of the draw what tickets you
get
but fingers crossed you get lucky like
me but thank you so much if you enjoyed
this video and you enjoyed Wimbledon um
me explaining Wimbledon please get me a
ticket next time you're about I got one
spare get me in the corporate box let me
present thank you very much take care
