so i've gotten a lot of emails from
people who are having problems with the
niche finding process
and the main problem they're having is
they're coming up to me and they're
saying hey steve i am just not a
creative person
i'm having a lot of problems finding a
profitable product to sell online
so what i thought i'd do today is go
over two tools that i use
that greatly helps me brainstorm
profitable products to sell online
and the best part is you don't need to
be creative at all to use these tools
because these tools will literally point
you in the right direction
to finding profitable products to sell
online all right so the first tool i
want to talk about
is the jungle scout web app all right in
this tutorial is going to start at my
blog
over at mywifequitterjob.com and what i
want you to do is i want you to scroll
down
and click on this link now by clicking
on this link you can follow along with
the tutorial
and in addition this link will provide
you with 20 off of all the tools on
jungle scout
all right so i'm just going to click
here go ahead and sign up and then you
can actually follow this tutorial step
by step alongside with me
so jungle scout is actually composed of
two tools
the first jungle scout tool is called
the chrome app and the reason it's
called the chrome app is because it is
an application that you install upon
your chrome browser
now what's cool about the chrome app is
it will tell you approximately how much
every single product on amazon is making
so let's say i went online and i typed
in garlic press
in amazon and i clicked on this jungle
scout link here
jungle scout will literally go through
every single product on the front page
and tell you approximately how much it's
making the number of reviews and its
sales velocity all right so in this case
we did a search for garlic press
it looks like the number one spot is
making 29 000 per month
and you can see all the sellers up to
the top 15 in amazon
along with the number of reviews now if
you watched the last video i already
provided you with guidelines for
profitable products to sell on amazon
and by using the jungle scout chrome app
you can quickly determine
whether this niche is actually
profitable and whether it is too
competitive
now one of the problems with using the
chrome app to do research is
you still have to figure out what to
search for and if you're like me and
you're not that creative
you're going to have a lot of problems
figuring out what to type into the
search box to begin with
and so jungle scout also has another
tool called the web app
which makes the brainstorming process
infinitely easier so here's how it works
this is what the tool looks like and i'm
going under find products and the
product database
so what's cool is that jungle scout has
scraped every single product on amazon
and has created a database for you to
research all right so
let's say i want to find all products on
amazon that make at least five thousand
dollars a month
sell at least 150 units per month and
has less than 100 reviews and sells for
over 20 bucks
i can easily do that with the jungle
scout web app so the first thing i do is
i click on which categories of products
that i want
so i'm just going to click on a couple
categories here
so just a couple notes i always stay
away from the electronics because they
go absolutely really quick
but mostly other categories are fair
game
so i'm going to enter in a minimum price
of 20 a maximum number of reviews
of a hundred and i'm going to say min
revenue of 5 000
per month 150 units per month
and i'm just going to click on the
search button here
all right so jungle scout is going to
return all the products selling on
amazon that meet my requirements
and what you want to do is you want to
go down these products and oftentimes
these will give you
ideas of profitable products that you
can sell on amazon
and every single product that is
returned will fall within the criteria
that you specified in jungle scout
now what's great about this tool is that
oftentimes
products will be spit out that you never
would have thought of to sell on amazon
and what you want to do is you want to
go through these products think to
yourself whether you can actually
improve upon this product in some way
and once you have a product that you're
interested in selling jot it down on a
spreadsheet for further research later
alright and so that is just a quick and
dirty demo of the jungle scout web app
now the other brainstorming tool that i
want to show you is called the viral
launch
product discovery tool and once again i
want you to start this tutorial
off by going to mywifequitterjob.com
scrolling down and clicking on this link
now by clicking on this link you will
get 15 off lifetime for the tool
and if you click on it and sign up you
can follow along with this tutorial step
by step
all right and so this is what the
product discovery tool looks like
on viral launch now what is cool about
viral launch and what makes it different
from jungle scout
is that it will categorize all the
products on amazon based on keywords
now as you know most people who shop on
amazon do a search
first and what viral launch is it takes
all the keywords that are searched from
amazon
and it categorizes them based on revenue
all right and so in this case
this interface actually looks a lot like
jungle scout you click on the categories
that you want to brainstorm
specify the average price the average
monthly revenue and the average review
count
and viral launch will spit out keywords
that meet that criteria
now what's cool about viral launch is it
will actually rate
those keywords on amazon based on an
idea score
and this idea score is rated on a scale
of one to five
with five being the most favorable with
an idea score of five
the products that will be displayed for
that keyword will have
high demand and low competition now you
can go down this list of keywords and
you'll get the average sales the average
price and the average number of reviews
for the products for that keyword
and then it's just a matter of taking
these keywords typing them in amazon
and using the jungle scout chrome app to
see if in fact it is a
viable niche alright so i'm just going
to type in
i'm just going to look at disposable
wine glasses here as an example
so i take this keyword i type it in
and i run jungle scout on it all right
and just as a review
what i'm looking for in a good niche is
i wanted to have an even distribution of
revenue
across all the sellers on the front page
i want to see at least a revenue
of five thousand dollars i want to see
reviews under 100 or in the low hundreds
and that's what makes for a decent niche
to go into
and jungle scout also has its own
opportunity score it's saying there's
high demand with medium competition
and so if you have some value add for
the product that you find on viral
launch or jungle scout
then you might want to consider doing
more research so even if you are not
a creative person you can use both
jungle scout and viral launch to easily
brainstorm hundreds if not thousands of
products
sell online and you don't have to think
about anything you can just use these
tools
and use the numbers to have them spit
out potential products for you to sell
all right so if you enjoyed this short
tutorial there are many more tutorials
where that came from over at my
full-blown course

cool about this class is that i will

brand
the class is heavy on interaction and
every single week i hold
